Until they fix major problems this app Is pretty much worthless especially if you have low vision Wont produce readable results Too difficult to use     Not ready

Would work well for those with perfect eyesight Camera is hard to align to text and all results I got were gibberish Like dropping twenty bucks in the gutter     Not worth it

Just like with zoomtext this app falls behind all competition avoid this     Zoom trash

Unfortunately this application does not clearly state that it DOES NOT work on the iPod Touch 4 I wasted my money thinking I could put it on the iPod Touch 4 I saw this application work on an iPhone 4 and actually liked it It is a bit touchy in that you must have just the right photo but when you get a good shot it works well I can think of many uses for it both personally and professionally as a teacher of students with special needs I hope they will continue to develop this application for the Touch and IPad           Like this App but needs more fine print

I have not had this long but I have yet to get a perfect or near perfect scan I did finally get the info I wanted though        Great idea but needs a lot of work

I was so hopeful But the camera doesnt auto focus therefore it wont read to me You must be able to see well enough to know the text isnt in focus I am legally blind and if i could see that the camera isnt in focus i wouldnt need this unusable app that i just waisted 20 on Too bad for me and all LVIB folks     I wished this worked

Buying this app was a waste of money The app should be eliminated and everyone refunded It leads people to think it will do the job because it is by a reputable company that produces products for people who are blind and visually impaired That is how people are lured into buying it What a sham     I would rate zero if I could

I bought this to try it out on behalf of my visuallyimpaired son I agree with the other reviewer who said its pretty much worthless this is a great disappointment since the concept is so wonderful I agree that it will not produce readable results The sentence highlighting does not track with the audio I would say that it might work for reading a narrow column of BW print such as a pill bottle or a newspaper article but even with that youd need to be able to zero in on the text hoping you get it fit within the visual range and make sure you hold the iPhone steady while reaching with one finger to press the camera button This was a challenge for me How is my son gonna be able to do this        Not Ready for Prime Tome

This application is very difficult to use if you are a person who was blind or has very limited vision The company should probably put a disclaimer on the screen that tells about product information     Must have very good usable vision

After updating to the newest version and changing a few settings I get great results each time Before the orientation of the text would flip sometimes resulting in bad OCR But now I make sure I aim at the text then flip iPhone up unitl it says Portrait or Landscape I then point to the text and take photo Tried it at a meeting last night when someone gave me a handout It was realistic for me to use ZoomReader to OCR it and listen to the doc with my headphones so I knew what everyone else at the meeting was referring to No one had to read it to me Ive also experimented on food packages with poor contrast colors and it worked very well I recommend going to Light and Flash Controls top right and setting it to Flash ON You can also go into Settings top left and turn Voice Recognition On so that you can say Take Picture instead of tapping on the screen                 having mobile OCR is great

This app would be great for people that still have some sight but for us that are total it was a waste of money We cant see so how do we know how to perfectly line the camera up to a page Well maybe it could be fixed in time But the makers did have a good idea just need to think ideas through more     Bld mom

I am loving this app Love the intuitive layout and design Early challenges with clean image capture improved dramatically by resting my elbows on the table and snapping the pic from above then even further with one of the handy stands Technology is amazing                 LOVE LOVE LOVE

I am very legally blind As in I read Braille and have a guide dog I can see some stuff This app does the work of a much more expensive Video Magnifier and does it well If one takes a bit of time and experiments with the best lighting and height to hold up the phone then you should get satisfactory results with the OCR Great appwill only get better in updated versions If you invest some time learning how to use this youll find it well worth every penny              A well worth it investment

This app is excellent I can read all of my documents without purchasing an optional scanner or purchasing an optional computer If you are like me get ZoomReader It is fast accurate and very responsive                 Excellent app

I didnt have my Zoom Text on to read this correctly but thought it might work with the iPhone 3 GS anyway but it does not You can download it but it will not install on your 3 GS at all an error message will pop up telling you it is not compatible with the 3 GS and will not install I wish it would have worked on the 3 GS there is no need for me to save up for the iPhone 4 since the face forward camera is not a selling point for me and that they are both using the same iOS software versions Ill save up for the iPhone 5 though if the fix te backs design problem and add 4 G     Do not attempt on 3GS yet

I thought this app would be great to use since my eyes are so bad and I can never read mail that is sent to me This app has not yet read anything to me that makes since it has never scanned anything and converted it to proper words I have tried mail and prescription Everything I scanned has not worked yet It was tough to buy for 20 bucks and now I feel bad because I spent 20 bucks on this and it could have went towards food or something better than a 20 dollar useless app I hope it gets better with updates I love ZoomText and it is upsetting that this doesnt work as well     Hate it

This app is great but the iPhone gets really warm when running the app                 Okay

I Update i bought iphone 6 Plus and this app is accurate and i do nit have to use turbo scan anymore first use the turboscan app to take the pic then I save it and use this app to read it This way works 100 times better and it perfect                 Great

OCR is uneven even under good lighting The text to speech is very good if you dont increase the speech The pitch then raises Magnification is good but the slider gets in the way Polarity and color change make some items unreadable Tech support is vet responsive but unable to offer solutions           Good beginning but needs a lot of work

I got the app back when the first version was released Its helped me SO MUCH At school they were having problems with my accomidations Thanks to the app I was able to be independent in class Now that my vision is too bad to really use magnification the OCR is extremely helpful I didnt have to wait till I got large print or the class went over the assignment to know what it said Its literally been a lifesaver My teachers actually forgot i was blind when i was using it and i think some of them are going to reccemend it to others My only complaints is it either freezes or crashes quite a bit I just wish it worked on my iPad I really love the fact that you can save and take pictures saved to your camera roll for it to read too                 Life Savor

This app definitely works However the lighting needs to be nearperfect and the phone needs to be held about 1 foot away from the text I would appreciate the ability to apply color filters to imported images as well and hear an announcement when the camera has been auto focused I would also appreciate better control over text playback when using the builtin text reading feature Overall a great and much needed app Looking forward to upcoming versions                 Great app

If you want this for iPhone dont get it It cannot handle A4 paper size Perhaps it works better with iPad     Unusable with iPhone
