I bought this app to value a box of comics I had as a kid The search function is basically unusable I tried several variations on 4 comics and could only find one A bar code scanner would really change everything on this As it is right now it was a waste of 3     Useless Nemo7860

I paid the 2 99 and immediately regretted it I am an avid collector of comics from 1st appearances to special events When using this app to located a specific comic for example Avengers 144 1st appearance of hellcat it does not bring that particular issue up It just simply brings up the Avengers comics in general and then It s up to you to scroll down and try to find issue 144 and so on I m sure you catch the drift It does not bring up specific issues just broad comic series It does include prices of what certain issues cost but without the ability to look up specific titles this is just not useful for collectors And the menu system is not friendly either Not worth the money I would have deleted it even if it were free     Not good for comic collectors Jinc0

I was able to find several newer comics in this app however there were a few key issues like Swamp Thing volume 2 37 1st appearance of John Constantine I was unable to locate at first because I didn t realize that you had to push the arrow key at the bottom to advance past the first 20 30 issues Like many others I found the search function cumbersome I would suggest the following enhancements search function by volume and issue see marvel wikia and D C Wikia on the web for a good reference barcode scan more information about the issue plot character list and all 1st appearances pub Date for this reference the wikias above and CLZ comics app A quick and thorough database is crucial When I am shopping I need to be able to find a comic quickly and know if it is a key comic or not Does it have a minor 1st appearance that be a big character later etc The app does list several character 1st appearances Robbie Reyes is a good example so it is on the right path with promise A few tweaks to the search capability and the database and this app will be perfect Good job so far it is helpful when I have time to plan out my future wants or price my collection A little cumbersome when I am in a hurry at a comic store with limited bandwidth and need the info quickly                 Decent app but not perfect kidsgames

I was hoping this would be n easy way to look up the value range of a comic I was considering buying However this app seems to search in reverse of what I would need returning every comic ever published under the search criteria given If I do narrow it down to the year I cannot easily go to a certain issue number because the number search asks for four numbers All comics I looked at had three or less and I was unable to find a combination that went to the issue in my hand What people like me need is the ability to search for a comic name and issue number select from a short list returned by the search and be given a value by condition list Then if I am out shopping I could use this info to decide if the asking price is a good deal A barcode scanner option would make shopping for silver age comics even easier I am not sure how a person could use this app to maybe someone has a use for it But for me it is 3 I wish I had not spent         Not as useful Ffgvxuvgh

I ve loved this app for quite awhile It s helped me bid on many a comic Now with one of the new updates the addition of a 4th digit to look up comic numbers has totally made it useless Searched Hulk 0180 No issue found Searched 1800 No issue found This is a key issue Really Never had this problem before and with no way to page over from the first page and its 1 6 issues well I guess I just can t get the prices Uninstalled and reinstalled Nothing Please fix Otherwise this app is useless to me     Was good Now useless to me CptnCraptastic

Overall this app is very handy The monthly updates are nice They typically have all the titles I am looking for They respond quickly to questions and suggestions The info image provided for each issue is also nice Because I use Zap Kapow not only for looking up prices but for cataloging my collection as well I should mention that there are a few improvements that could be made with the My Faves feature 1 Titles within the My Faves feature should always be alphabetized It shouldn t be an option Simplify 2 Issues cataloged in My Faves should always be in numerical order It also should not be an option Who wants to see their collection out of order Again simplify 3 As of now there are always random issues that won t appear in proper numerical order even when the descending ascending option is selected i e 8 1 2 3 SO annoying Please fix Other than that I can t really complain It s the only app of its kind on the market Worth 3                 Not bad RJ2525

I am a long time user of Comic Base a PC application and have only been using Zap Kapow on my iPhone for about four or five months now but I can tell you this is a great product While Comic Base is very useful for creating a database of your entire collection Zap Kapow fulfills two critical roles for any comic collector 1 With Zap Kapow I can get a quick ball park price on a real time basis when I am at a comic shop This helps me ensure I am not going to overpay for my books 2 With Kap Kapow using the Want List which I am now really starting to use it basically creates my shopping list of wanted or missing issues and helps me confirm what I am looking for without bringing my 37 page with double side printing only 19 page Comic Base printout report This is a really great product On the one occasion that I found a missing title I emailed the Zap Kapow guys and they told me they were putting it into the next upgrade I highly recommend this tremendous product                     This is a really great product SonnyDiamond
