XFINITY Home Security app has been update to version 2.3.1 with several major changes and improvements. App release that improves performance, provides several new options.

As usual the only reason to use Comcast is because there isnt a second cable provider That is pretty much the same with this app        Disappointing
Caution App does not work and continually crashes Do not use Xfinity or Comcast for home security CAUTION as they do not support this app or give any fixes although has been useless for years They do not care about customers or this app CAUTION Avoid I Have contacted them on numerous occasions and all Comcast has said is Deal with it we know that it does not work and we dont care CAUTION Consumer please be aware     Caution
Many times we have to trip the alarm as we cant use either iPad or iPhone to turn off the alarm     Errors All Times
You keep playing with our lives every time a new update sign us out Huge major flaw If that is required to get the new update rolling then I just wont update it again You really are playing with my whole familys life every time you have an update sign us out This app is like my third eye but a barely working eye     Are you stupid or something
System hangs up Camera hangs up at times You have to kill the app and go back in Not ideal at all Not reliable by any means Comcast techs are aware Are the developers ALSO there is NO constant record capability Recommended the system be able to record for two hours then start another two record The next would write over the first two hour block That way if someone did break in you could have a recording of the criminal Right now the only way to record is if you press the record button I am not sure how long that would last        Camera

App is horrible Sometimes it requires you to re log back into the app then it takes forever to the cameras And I notice that if you are trying to connect into a room where I the is movement going on the camera sometimes wont load I had my roommate do a test to simulate breaking in and first off I got the notification right away but it took almost 3 mins for the cameras to Load and toggle through to watch him walk around the house Then when I pressed the record but the app quit and shut down Then I tried to log in real quick to continue watching and the app prompted me again to reenter my login information     App not reliable
Likes to error out and not let you set or deactivate alarms Nice to have when it works but usually doesnt        Lots of Errors
App is slow to load and does not always work Knocks you out and makes you resign in Very irritating Cameras dont always work and you have to keep retrying Cameras dont take pictures when scheduled If you wanted to catch someone breaking in Im not confident the cameras would work Seems like a very immature system Im sorry I switched from ADP     Slow and unreliable

So far so good Connectivity is fine I feel most people who complain either have poor cell service or low internet speeds Camera responds well Good picture Easy to operate the touch pad This app is straight forward Love being able to arm and disarm when I go to sleep and wake up The contract is a it steep but for it being wireless not a bad deal I will resist this review every month as I use the app more and more To many people want perfection with new products and services Like anything new dont buy it if you cant expect hiccups              not bad Will get better as it goes

Maybe I could give the app a better rating See above System is unreliable and camera feeds lose contact with the router on a regular basis and my house isnt even big The camera delay is such that if someone broke a window they could be gone or in your house before you could see who it was The 15 second recording feature is pretty useless and you cant even watch the camera while it is recording Recently a drunk driver crashed into our neighbors car which was parked in front of our house before speeding off and we had nothing to show police despite having 2 cameras which could have seen something Ive got nothing good to say about the service and I deleted the app because it didnt let me log in to it once     if I knew what it looked like

Previous version was MUCH better Camera hangs up 99 of the time and I get all sorts of errors trying to use other features Says doorswindows are open when they arent and neither does the tablet I regret updating     Horrible after latest update
Adequate system with noticeable limitations Lots of buffering particularly when you need it most Cameras only record when the alarm is in progress and only if you set it to do so System updates dont include what needs repairing At times the key fob smart phone and keypad did not work sufficiently and we could not set or disable the alarm You cannot review camera history or set it to do so Very limited system however it will serve as a warningdeterrent to home invaders in the event it is properly functioning        Security system
There are errors almost daily The app has to be restarted and my password and username re entered even though Ive elected to have the app remember me I am very disappointed with this app and hope the bugs get worked out I have issues with my exfinity cable service as well Makes me question my loyalty to Comcast If I hadnt signed a two year contract I would definitely be looking at another provider     Not reliable

This app is only useful if you forgot to turn your alarm on and youre out of the house Otherwise it is pointless because it does not show you what code was used to armdisarm the system For example I have about 3 codes a master code and a few others for friends and family but when I look on this app it does not show whowhich code disarmed the system The same thing with the new version of the website        App doesnt show who signed in

This app works just like the Xfinity Home security does not very often It usually doesnt even connect due to some off the wall error If it does connect it is slow and usually wont arm or disarm the system Just like when the alarm is triggered and the monitoring center never calls to confirm youre not dead If you like paying for something that doesnt work get the Xfinity Home and this app Otherwise stick to anything else     Not a very worthwhile app

We live in a low crime area However there are still a few issues that are worrisome Indoor outdoor cameras motion sensors and doorwindow alerts bring a lot of peace of mind even in our quiet neighborhood The ability to monitor from my phone or iPad is smooth When the neighbor comes to do yard work I can let him in the garage and not expose the rest of the house to a curious teenager The ability to expand the system exceeds any requirements that we have currently or in the foreseeable future There may be some connection issues when using the phone but so far nothing insurmountable This is our first experience with a security system We couldnt be more pleased              Confidence while away

My camera connection keeps getting dropped and there have been several times the mobile app hasnt worked well for me        Buggy
I like the outlets to turn lamps on and off I set the rules so that if the back door opens then lamps turn on I receive texts when some doors open Example we dont use the back door so it is very unusual for it to be open so I set a rule to receive a text I can have the lamp turn on during night hours and stay on a certain amount of time                 Lighting
This is the most awesome security system that you could ever have everything worked perfectly including the Xfinity Home mobile app its nothing wrong with it I wouldnt change a thing and I will recommend it to anyone                 The perfect home security

This app does not work 90 of the time So therefore it only secures my house 10 of the time It has an issue with connectivity specifically when your phone finds the home wifi and is still connected to data plan If I could do it all over again I would not get Comcast alarm security It blows     Comcast security app
