Can cover a lot of synth territory from 80 s to now but the UI can be irritating sometimes                 Good sounds Pablopau

I am not going to go into the whys because they are obvious still though there are intresting instruments on offer that have a pcm kind of thing going on But the interface is not set up in such a way as something like gadget with a way of sequencing that gives us a real overview of everything thats going on which is crucial to ios interface work flow peace christo             Close but not fluid enough yet Aka monkey dope

I have been an Xenon user too long In today s synth lineup X has little footprint It is still a useable synth But it needs some fresh updates Give us a sequencer longer than one bar Most will not give it a shot because of one bar sequencer Make it a pattern maker Push a button for this bass line that is set by choosing a key Hurry Add some hot tones Make it sizzle     We have waited too long Comtubly Numm

I love the controls They seem so user friendly In judging from the demo track sounds great Also good selection of instruments                     Easy to use tiggerbob

The sounds are mediocre Changing sounds is cumbersome You have to open the sound list click the sound you want then click the Load button The user interface needs a complete overhaul I wish I would not have bought it If you don t close it it will drain your battery     Difficult to use Keithbenedict

i wanted this app to make little songs on the go but every time i lay down a drum pattern then go to the keyboard to put down a melody it crashes INSTANTLY this is absolutely unacceptable for an app that costs 5 99 if someone is going to make an app for a specific function they should oh i dont know MAKE SURE THAT FUNCTION ACTUALLY WORKS IN THE FIRST PLACE i didnt buy this to plink around on a keyboard i got it to put down beats and make song ideas save them and email them to myself AS ADVERTISED this isnt okay fix your app it s serves no purpose to anyone wanting to use it for what it is advertised as     FIX YOUR APP Sic-boy

This is a really cool app You get a stack of highly customizable synths a drum machine a mixer and a decent sequencer Everything you need to make electronic music I can t beleive how cheap it is for the quality You can export your songs to a computer via the network Also I like how you can copy either the whole song or individual loops patterns into other apps like Loopy etc I m surprised there aren t more reviews this is very good                     Fantastic SLC_Taylor

I have about 15 synth apps all the good ones by Korg Moog Nanostudio etc This one was a big waste of money The user interface is terrible DON T BUY     I Hate it mrbusters

This app isn t optimized for iphone 5 the graphics look terrible you have to record with a horribly designed sequencer the drum kicks crackle the synths are cool but you can find many better synth apps No midi support as far as i can tell The effects are lacking Also there is no user manual No audiobus support Don t waste your money     Waste of Money WendellRM

Tight timing nice piano roll for synth editing tie feature works great for extending notes past the bar line Exports easily to computer or other apps The drum sounds could be better but I m using it for the synthy stuff anyway                 I like it Musicman4444_4

You ppl are idiots UI is great only true limitation is 3 30 min songs but that s at 120 bpm but you can also loop parts to make a longer track or record it live with the little built in mixer and turn some knobs use your imagination go buy this app ICEGEAR WE NEED XENON HD at least 8 tracks and 200 bars to work with you guys COULD be slaughtering the other crappy apps Sound quality is amazing for oldskool app no joke                     More advanced than iPolysix and runs on iPod 3rd gen Djbombsquad

Some of the best synth sounds out there wonderfully tweakable fantastic overall sound quality You can t export you can t have a song with more than 100 bars that gives you maybe 2 or 3 minute tracks and you basically can t do anything with this that would equal production Also theres no warning button to let you know you re about to overwrite hours worth of work I deleted a song in one fell swoop something which would never happen in any other app It s a shameful waste of a would be excellent tool         Shameful waste indieninja

Just bought a synthstation25 and it s like I have an incredibly powerful synth that fits in my backpack I can t believe it s only 5 It sounds great Worth it Get a synthstation25 and you ll like it even more                     Incredible d-rei

Everything about this App is pure pleasure the UI is beautiful the multiple synths on offer will make you feel like a kid in a candy store the size of the keyboard is wonderfully un cramped and the Sound the sound of this thing blew me away rich full shimmering and somehow miles away from previous App based synths that almost had me lose faith in App instruments altogether The presets are generous and inspiring a true menu of this Apps capability If you love making sound and you ve read this far buy it right now and bask in the glow                     A SOLID GOLD SLAM DUNK NoUserErrorHere!

I REALLY like Xenon Groove Synth The concept is great and t s very good for fleshing out ideas I d like to see some things added though Here is my presumptuous laundry list features to make it a 5 star app imho GLOBAL all modules Modulate and pitch wheels on everything except drums Core and Wifi MIDI controller master and slave Expandable pattern sizes ticks per beat and beats per pattern All major time signatures Pinch zooming in pattern views and for keyboard keys Quick octave button Keyboard lock Wiggle finger for vibrato RYTHM SEQUENCER Per beat flams Per drum row swing control Expandable number of instruments rows in both sequencer and drum pad Slides to adjacent drum pads trigger sounds I realize I m asking a lot but I m sure I m not the only one who would gladly pay more for these additional features                 A solid 4 but could be a 5 ZenLizard

1 User manual needs better English translation Hard to believe this is an issue in 2011 2 Sequencer should include a metronome for recording 3 Should be easier to save and export sounds patterns and songs 4 I use interface with iPad screen on negative setting seems easier to work with 5 with this level of sophistication at some point there should be separate sends and returns of course this is even an issue with GarageBand             Good work but much to be done Jed Fish Gould

They need to demonstrate in the videos how to save your songs I pressed save made a title and it said saved next day nothing Hours of work down the drain nowhere does it show how to retrieve your previous songs What the hell Had I known I wouldn t have purchased it And of course they didn t give any easy contact info Hello Don t you think people will want to access the work they ve spent a lot of time to make Sorry to sound so negative here but I m really annoyed about I had a really good song I made now it gone Goddamit man Make it easier that s one of the basic features of any music or creative app too be able to easily save and access your work I ll change my review if any one ever explains to me how to do this if not screw it I ll use one of the many apps I have that are easy to save and retrieve work like nano studio All that work for gone And on top of all this it crashes every single time I try to open the sequencer now I m really annoyed if needs to be fixed or I m going get my money back from the AppStore and gave a worse review     Not easy to save songs and it crashes all the time orange better than apple

My problem with this app is the step sequencer is way too limited I have the Akai Synthstation and had a simple idea to sequence I wanted to get a melody down First problem I had was there is no metronome click Ok I figure I ll start with a drum part so I ll know where I m at so I can play the melody Then while playing the drum part I realized the pattern is too short and there is no way to lengthen patterns to fit my song Ok so I ll just have to use two patterns for the drum part The problem is that you can only loop one pattern while recording so there is no way to get the feel right to get the idea recorded I did manage to get the simple drum part sequenced using two patterns but it was a total pain to do something that should be so simple Then I realized I was going to have to do the same sort of thing for the melody but using four patterns I tried with the first pattern and realized some of my notes need to be held across patterns which I think is impossible I waisted way too much time already and quit Are the sounds good Don t know never really got that far This app really seems geared toward those who just want to throw random notes together using the screen and patten editor and see what happens I m not really interested in that The company does have another synth which is great It s called Argon     Step Sequencer Way Too Limited WDI

I ve been using this app for 3 days straight and it continues to make my day exciting The synth sounds you can coax out of the 3 included synths and their tweakability give you so much to dig in to and the rest of the system is just icing It would be nice if we could divide beats within a pattern more dynamically like Molten does but I m also enjoying working within the restrictions I really hope Icegears is working on another in the series that will have its own flavor                     Desert Island App AQ808

Great app One thing though I don t see a way to set a specific midi channel that this app will respond to It seems to automatically respond to ALL incoming midi data So when I have it attached to a midi sequencer it plays the data from all 6 channels at once A fix for this would be great                 Nice Polyoptics

I had this on my ipad1 and it worked great it however is super cpu intensive on the ipad2 leading to popping and glitching sound quality freezing and unresposiveness at times it uses way more processor percentage than it previously did so i can load half as much on twice the processor speed this needs a bugfix immediately please Then you can have 5 stars             Ipad2 Mic Gee$

It would be great to be able to live record more than one pattern at a time and have an option to turn quantize OFF but aside from that it s a great app The Argon looper would be ideal with this instrument set please incorporate that IceGear                 Argon expanded Joe Maulms

I had used this app for numerous months and loved it but recently I had to reset I m iPod and I redownloaded this app but I can no longer edit patterns without it crashing If I tap on the screen at all on the pattern editor it crashes This is a serious problem that makes this incredible app completely useless I am willing to wait for an update to fix this but until then this app will be clogging up space on my iPod     Serious problem Ron Coulter
