i forgot all other networks set ipad to never sleep connected to the X Air 18 network walked away for a half hour returned to totally frozen mixer board useless for live use update with the latest version very much improved still had the same crash after being on all day but over all much much better would be better if it was 100 reliable thu update sept 2017 the system totally failed me tonight shut down everything the ipad could no longer communicate with the xair mic box at all halfway thru the night gonna have to try something else bad bad bad     horrible connection issues Deeeeepeeeee

After over a year of waiting for narrow faders an update comes But we still can t condense faders we still can t move them or change their order And we can t even change the network channel number How can this be so difficult for a big corporation I don t get it Most of the iOS apps on this site have only one software writer yet they manage to get updates to their customers on a regular basis to address bugs and add features Behringer makes us wait for over a year between major updates and their are still major problems         Please Make This Right soundoggy

I was hoping that Behringer would have read the many complaints on here and reinstate the ability to condense and move faders with this update Sadly they haven t While the new wide mode where you can see all 16 channels somewhat addresses this issue you still can no longer condense two or more channels into one fader and you still can t move channels Like I still have to swipe to the right to get to the AUX channel when before I could just move the AUX channel to the left where I could always see it It would be REALLY nice to have these features again But given the fact that it wasn t fixed with this update and given the unusually long amounts of time in between updates for this app it s doubtful that Behringer will ever fix this issue         BOOOOOOO Steve87105

30 years of mixing the mixer is great revoltionalry even the app makes the mixer unstable and not useable in any critical live mixing scenario Same with the app for the MAC it crashes crash crash crash worthless How about somethng stable otherwise I want a refund the mixer is no good with apps that crash I would not use the mixer for live work in it the current state of the applications may studio work thats it     mixer unuseable with this update Mikee57

I just bought an x18 I have never used a digital mixer but I am very familiar with analogs My main problem as a new user is that all the tutorials out dated because this new app looks completely different than the tutorials and the procedures are different to a new user I look for the chan 17 and 18 inputs and your manual says they are only on the X18 Wrong They are only on the XR18 an hour wasted I can t find out how to make subgroups put effects on thep16 there are no mix buttons on the effects if you use them as inserts the list goes on and on not that these functions are not there I CAN T FIND THEM And there are no current tutorials Phil Gates where are you This is unacceptable         You are kidding me ProfessorChillinstein

Nice Application The long awaited features of mute and dca groups are great and as a software developer myself I do say Application not App Uber is an app this is an application Most users do not realize the difficulty creating an application like this with the app dev constraints such as memory which is likley what caused the long delay since 1 4 2 My guess is we had to wait until Apple allowed more memory for apps The MUSIC group team hopefully will implement a better testing regiment before releasing versions knowing that often unsuspecting users will have their devices updated by accident at a show and that is not the place you want to discover a bug or missing changed feature protect yourself against that by using best practices We do need the condensed fader view back which for some became a go to view There are ways using time machine and other archival methods to re install older versions but the install proceedure is a bit too complex for a review I recommend not updating on the show device without testing I use an older iPad for testing Read the reviews first before you update your device Don t use auto updates                 Good start on a long awaited update 360Direct

Finally Mute Groups on the iPad As for the person who said Groups are gone they are now labeled DCA Groups because they added Mute Groups Groups would be too vague they have the same function as before Nice to have the indicators on the individual channel strips for Mute DCA Auto Mix features Thanks for that but I d still want to keep that collapsible channel strip feature for easier access to all 16 faders at once I felt safer that way Not bad though now just make that iPhone app to control monitor faders and we re set                 Sweet but condense the faders again TripDoug

I just purchased an XR18 today updated this app to ver 1 5 0 and updated the firmware to ver 1 15 via the mac app Control via the mac works fine ans the iPad app can see the mixer on the network but crashes everytime I tap on the mixer It also crashes if I try to enter any of the demo modes I m running the app on iOS ver 10 2 1 on an original iPad Air 16GB wifi only and I ve tried rebooting the iPad and the app crashes even when in airplane mode         Crashes When Connecting Gebbers

Since my initial review in 2014 I now have the X18R and use the iPad app to control it It s easy enough to use but there are several serious flaws not to mention no update since 2015 1 Saved scenes and settings are not coordinated with the Mac or PC for that matter app This will lead to confusion about what is saved and where 2 Some of the setting numerical values like input gain differ between the Mac app and the iPad app It s a bug 3 There are several Mac app features and settings simply missing from the iPad app But it is robust enough if you understand the limitations             New Review Eddie.O.

Just to add to the Laundry list of fixes that are needed it would be nice to save a mix per song and then lock the preset mix so it can t be overwritten by accident since the load and save buttons are so close to each other I like the fact that I can have a total complete set of different effects per song and just load up the preset mix from one song to the next but I accidentally rewritten over some of the preset mixes that I worked on for several hours to get it right before a show to save a lot of time but screwed up because there isn t a way to lock the preset mix Love the fact of keeping the XR18 on stage and no more snakes in the grass JamStreet             Save and Lock presets Jamstreet beat

This app should have been the same as the x32 If you continue with this different app please fix a few things First it needs programmable mutes like the x32 It s nice to hit one button to mute all the monitors and one that mutes all the channels your u program to mute with one button Second thing please fix the channel strips so when you have them in sub groups and open them back up to the channels again it should show the all the individual channel labels again One more thing is it s a pain to scroll channels by sliding two fingers to get to the other end in a hurry I like the x32 app with channel block buttons 1 8 block 9 16 block Thank you             Shawn Sound guy drummer
