I am writing this review is response to SteveW2 review claiming this app is worthless My five star rating cannot be based entirely on my actual use of this app since the instructions say it will take six months to a year for the program to complete the process of teaching a child to read and the program has just been released in app form However I used the classroom version of the program in my school and found its statements of 100 success to be quite valid First of all as the Apple App Store description of this app explains this one app is the eleventh of fourteen apps that comprise the program For this app to be useful the use of ten other apps would have to have preceded it Apparently SteveW2 and his two friends skipped steps one through ten and started at step eleven instead Second the instructions for use of all fourteen apps are posted in the support section of each app Clicking on the support link for any of the apps leads directly to a web page called The Guide The title of the page might provide a hint as to its purpose In addition written in red right underneath the title is the phrase bookmark this page If SteveW2 missed the support page when he downloaded the app when he wrote his useless application review he still could have seen the if you need support please visit Writing Worksheet support link This link would also have taken him directly to The Guide The Guide is also available on the Center for Innovation in Educations home page And in both the Dekodiphukan section and the FAQ section instructions are included for how to create The Guide app on an iPad This is a really good program Evaluating its effectiveness from just one of the fourteen apps is a little like saying nails are useless when you have never seen or used a hammer                 The Guide how to use the worksheets
