Writeplan - Plan and Write your Books

I use index cards so I thought this would be great I thought wrong There arent any good instructions so you have to figure it out on your own Next moving the card tiles is a joke not smooth in moving and if youre lucky it wont shut down on you If you want to edit a card you can BUT now you have two cards and not one edited card So you must delete which doesnt delete unless youre lucky and the app shuts down Lastly I uploaded a photo for my short story and the pic never appeared Until you guessed it the app shut down Oh and theres no support not to mention their newsletter page gives an error Complaining to AppleiTunes        Should Be Better for 500

The UI is modern and gorgeous to look at but the designer seems to have gone against convention in some places making the app a bit confusing to use Eg the back button is usually on the left but in this app its on the right theres a top menu bar that has a sign that allows you to create a new document at any time which makes it feel more like a desktop app than an iOS app when you create a new document youre forced to fill in the title author and synopsis before it will let you do anything else most apps will provide default values rather than popping up an annoying dialog box telling you that youre not doing what the developer expected you to do The developer needs to test against BT keyboards There are parts of the UI that just dont work Specifically when you start writing and youre working on a BT keyboard you will discover that besides a blinking cursor theres nothing else on the screen No back button no semitransparent widget to bring up a menu or toolbar Nothing The only way to get the tool bar to show up so you can exit editing mode is to turn off your BT keyboard This will bring up the virtual keyboard which you then have to dismiss in order for the top toolbar to appear Very inconvenient           Gorgeous UI doesnt make up for flaws Does not play well with BT keyboards

This app is a mess Hard to figure out and really kind of useless Get Index Cards instead     I should have listened to the other negative reviews

Just downloaded the app to an original iPad with 16mb and it starts to open then shuts down Only contact is through the app so I guess Im out of luck        Disappointed

Im a writer This looked like a perfect option for me so shelled out the 499 But as far as I can tell you can have as many books as you want but only one set of ideas in the whole app So the planning part only applies if you want to use it to plan one book in the app at a time Worse moving the tiles of ideas is extremely tricky buggy jerky difficult not smooth Youd be better off with an index card type app Gave three stars for its interface alone As I said I really wish it was the app I thought it was           Wish it worked
