I ve had this app for a while now stopped using it because my writing with the usual stylus was far more illegible than usual With the Apple Pencul the problem is solved Very much enjoying it now                     Pencil makes it MakiShimbo

I was hoping it would be at least as good as my Newton 2100 which still works in my iPad Pro No such luck Part of the problem is that the Apple Pencil iPad pro interface needs more friction for effective writing it s very easy to add extra serifs on characters with the pencil sliding around so much One disappointment is how bad the spelling recognition is When the translation is wrong I d expect something that is a real word not a random collection of characters that look like line noise Oh well maybe future versions will improve maybe its learning capabilities will make things better though I m not sure I m willing to go through the pain and effort to train this program considering how bad it starts off         20 year old Newton does a better job ANicknameThatProbablyIsn'tTaken

New Version of Writepad for iPad This review keys off of A handwriting input panel for ALL my apps by Drag0nSilver on Jun 3 2015 Update 6 03 2015 DragOnsilver remarked that The app as a document editor still is lacking BUT the upgraded custom keyboard extension rocks Recognition is improved I almost never have to rewrite I now use the custom keyboard extension in UX Write Professional The combination brings back memories of my Newton 2100 The custom keyboard keys of writPad combined with the custom keys of UX Write Pro mean that d can control the input and format of my text almost perfectly with the stylus When d forget and write a script capitol i rather then a printed capital i d or rather I pay the price I hare left the handwriting glitches in place I also express gratitude to the nuns in elementary school and the engineers in college who taught me drafting for their stress on clear script and clear formed printing to allow me Newton quality recognition within the UX Write word processor that gives me Word like control over my paragraph styles without leaving my script handwriting text entry The latest version is almost perfect for my purposes and even works with the app store review to complete the review that I wrote in UX Write and copied and pasted above Scribe with a Stylus                     The Newton 2100 has been almost reincarnated Scribe with a Stylus

The cursor has a bug and the developer says it has been fixed and says Apple is just slow to update It s been weeks This is an expensive app and well worth the money I have been using it for several years and very happy with it as my iPad 2 does not have dictation With the cursor issue reinserting I self randomly on the page this app is now unusable and my money wasted Customer support can be excellent or not at all I am tired of not at all and giving it one star until this is resolved     Still no update RtTrppr

One of the best note taking writing apps available one the Appstore Pricey Maybe But you get what you paid for and in this case you get quite a lot Different writing styles traditional handwriting etc along with the ability to use the handwriting keyboard in other apps I m actually writing this review using the handwriting feature make this one of the better note taking apps that you can get                     Great wwewwf96

I love this app It s true that maxing out the recognition time gets better results My one major complaint is when writing inside the box mode sometimes the cursor randomly jumps somewhere else on the page after pressing insert so that what was in the box goes in between some word or sentence I hope this can be corrected Otherwise great IPad mini 2013                 Excellent but trinadi

This is a great App until it fails I used this to take all of my notes at work One day I tried to open it and it closed itself which it continues to do It says if I reinstall it I will lose my notes I have contacted PhatWare with my phone number twice and begged for help and no one has acknowledged me I suggest you make sure you can live without whatever you put in the App in case it fails on you         Great App Until It Fails DesperatelyNeedNotes
