Write for Dropbox - A Plain Text Editor and Notes App

I love this app so far However I have many folders and need search to find folders as well              One missing feature

I enjoy using this app for my on the go writing needs It has been perfect until IOS 8 update It just needs to be updated to have iCloud Drive support so I am able to view files located in my iCloud Drive folders Please do this soon              I really like this app but

This is such an amazing app but the developer seems to have forgotten about it entirely Small bugs need fixing and lack support for the 6 and 6 becomes more and more inexcusable months out from release     Abandoned Desperately needs an update

I especially like the Dropbox sync                 The best

I want to love it but there is one thing missing that I absolutely need Folders 2 to 3 levels deep You must go deeper like folderception You have no idea how important this feature is to aspiring writers We need subfolders for every few folders Please add this feature              ALMOST Please add subfolders

I post a lot to Facebook and after 2 updates ago my iPad ceased to link and I have had lots of problems posting to Facebook Got an email back that they were working on it but so far after 2 updates no fix Also I have to re link Facebook often on the iPhone The app was perfect before the upgrades           Facebook problems

So many good one out there This is the one I return to on my iOS devices and on the Mac Writing elsewhere is uninspiring                 The Only Writing App Youll Need

This app is the Swiss Army Knife of text editors If you can think it it can probably do it In this age of app minimalism I really appreciate having extra options This one stands out from the crowd                 Feature Packed Text Editor

This app does everything but what you gain with features you lose with intuitiveness When you lose connection the sync bar hangs above and cant be dismissed Swiping between menus is slow and unresponsive This is the perfect app for a web designer or someone familiar with HTML For the average user it can be daunting to see all the different options           Feature richbut clunky

To the devs amazing work My favorite writer Works flawlessly Everything I always thought an app in this space should both look like and perform                 Simply awesome

Wrote a 1star review because the app wouldnt start Then sent an email to support Got a response literally within about 23 minutes My review isnt based on app itself havent used it yet but if app is as good as that support I have high hopes              Fast support

Those looking for the perfect cloud textnote editing app may want to look somewhere else Here are my biggest gripes with this app 1 iCloud support is very poor Files created on the device are not visible on the Mac iCloud Drive 2 iCloud sync folder is not customizable 3 No rich text format rtf support 4 Poor UI overthetop slow animations UI feels unpolished at places multiplelevel hamburger menus is a travesty Unfortunately the author doesnt provide any info about points 1 2 3 on his website and I had to purchase the app to find out thats why I consider it a waste of time and money     Waste of time and money

I think this app is awesome useful and versatile I use it with Dropbox and edit my notes right away It was simply awesome until the app updated third week of september maybe for iOS9 and started showing only one paragraph of whatever note you have Regardless of length I use Write to edit my written notes on the go and now it doesnt let me The other thing Id like to see changed is that I cant listen to my music on iTunes while using the app FIX THAT AND YOULL HAVE THE MOST AMAZING NOTE APP AMONG THEM ALL           Wonderful until

There is very little that I dont like about Write Ive tested it against as many competitors as I could afford and it is on top But today I have a longstanding issue that I cant ignore This goes for all developers of content creation apps but Write is taking the heat here because I use it every day I have requested a method of saving documents in Landscape for quite some time now Two releases have come and gone and its still being ignored Once again I have lost over 20 minutes of content Its completely unnecessary The developer told me he could and would enable auto save in landscape Hasnt happened yet So Heres my rant Ive explained this to the developers but Ill write it here for users to understand If you while typing in Write in landscape mode interact with other apps going back and forth to locate and copy content to paste into Write return to Write switch to Portrait mode to save Hit save Write will NOT save your content It requires you to enter some character to awaken a SAVE state after which it will finally save If you are not meticulous in your use of this method or if you delay in returning to Write to keep it alert you will lose your content There is no reason a user should have to be so cautious in order to use an application So There you have it I know Im probably the only loser out there who thinks he should be able to be productive without fear I realize I sound like a petulant 5 year old but I am who I am        Long Standing Grudge and Bad Timing

I live this mark down app Loved it more in iOS 6 hen it had the remote keyboard feature and would be willing to have it back as an inapp purchase for what its worth My biggest thing is that the beta for the Mac app has syncbackup support for Box and any other service that had a folder on your computer and Id love to have Box support added I prefer Box to Dropbox              Great

I bought this after getting the desktop version and assumed it would have the same storage options I tried to use the app without cloud storage and it would not work at all I choose the iCloud option and then switched off iCloud and the app would start and I could write a note but after that I could not make other notes or see previously created notes The app will not work without cloud storage or an internet connection     Cloud storage only

I want to use this app but its just so frustrating to use apps that are zoomed on the iPhone 6 screen because they dont support the new resolution Right now Im disappointed I paid for this without checking if it supported the right resolution        Excited by the app but please update for new screen sizes

This app cannot display text files larger than what fits on one screen on iOS9 The developer is no longer supporting this app I highly recommend that you avoid this     Does not work with iOS9

The recent updates have cleaned up so many bugs Functionality is amazing Worth every cent I spent Update My only two complaints are that the current version has a bug that makes you unable to delete files in folders and you cant listen to music while you use the app As someone who has to listening to something while writing this is not good But these will be minor problems for most people and until the music bug is fixed Im just using my iPad to listen to tunes                 Wonderful App

I purchased this app since Write for OS X is beautiful Instead I got an app lacking most of the polish and care of the OS X counterpart Ive had this app crash twice in the past 15 minutes Theres no way to back out of linking a Google Drive account I had to quit the app and restart My music randomly pauses while using it The list goes on I regret my purchase        Lacking polish

Write gets a lot of stuff right but also has a few gaps Its no longer in development so maybe best to try one that is     Nice but not quite golden

I occasionally look at other apps and always stick with Write Even against Drafts which I have on iPad Some gestures are a little much and some launch settings I cant get right but the writing preview and the actions are great Creating actions to speed up my workflow for note taking and processing have been great I feel like such a pro Thanks tanmay              Great features for writing and powerful for automation

I only payed for the app so I could edit Dropbox files Ive gotten my files to show up a couple times but mostly I get connection errors My other Dropbox apps dont seem to have a problem Hopefully this gets fixed        Dropbox sync rarely works

because is syncs on all of my IOS and Macs supports multimarkdown UI is clean and efficient flexible iCloud and DropBox syncing has many export options and it works well reliably and it pleases me Write is just right Write is what I had hoped UlyssesDaedalus would be                 Best MMD notes and writing app

This app is almost perfect for all my writing needs It syncs with numerous services supports markdown and has a very sleek user interface However it is slightly annoying that after opening the settings panel on the left you can still touch the directory on the right This makes it harder to close through swiping left              Almost Perfect

I have been using this app for most of my writing It syncs well with Dropbox and has many more exporting options However there are two things which makes it very irritating for me 1 There should be an option to get rid of markdown toolbar in landscape mode as it takes up too much space and makes things confusing on iPhone 2 There should be option to change the space between lines The current default setting leaves out too much space between lines Combination of the above two effects leaves very little text on the screen So either there is only 3 or 4 lines of text visible on the screen or I am forced to use very tiny font size              Good multipurpose app

Ive been a Markdown junkie for years and have been searching for a Markdown editor that supports Markdown 4 is easy to use flexible and beautiful Write wins hands down It is a perfect combination of function and aesthetics Furthermore it supports a wide array of cloud services iCloud Dropbox and has a desktop app so I can work seamlessly from iPhone iPad or desktop Write is an app that sets the standard for a fivestar rating                 Best Markdown editor by far

UPDATE I just discovered the Thesaurus edit menu itemawesome Working in plain text can be a valuable timesaver Write makes reading writing and editing text of any kind simple and easy                 My goto text editor on iOS great

This app is one feature short of being perfect for me It needs a tab key I need to indent with a tab before I export my text to other apps I write far too many paragraphs to add a tab to each one afterwards When the tab key is added I will give it 5 stars              Just shy of perfect

I only use this as a basic notes app plain text with Dropbox sync and its by far my favorite and Ive tried a lot I used WriteRoom for a while and loved it but since it has been discontinued I have been searching for a replacement and found it The Dropbox sync has been great and load times are quick There are a ton of options I dont even use but you wont regret buying this app                 Best Notes App
