Fun informational app                 Safety can be fun
I really dont see the benefit of this app Its advertised to show locations of wildfires but it sure doesnt work in my area of New Mexico Think Ill stick with a scanner     Horrible app
I used to love this app but after this latest update its useless Gone is the map feature or any real news Now all this app does is link you to CALFIRE and give you their twitter feed Please bring back the map feature Until then not worth the download     Huge Downgrade
I am sad that this app is so ineffective I am always getting a connection error on my iPhone This is useless to me and my wooded property Please fix this     Never connects Worthless app
I cant use this anymore No realtime updates and location monitoring With a 16000acre fire burning nearby it would be nice to be able to monitor it     Used to be awesome
The app keeps crashing Wont let me add locations to monitor Please fix Thanks     Review
I think this is a good app and all the other app it is really helpful                 Pretty good
I was surprised at all the negative reviews Its a free application What I love about this app are the links Im a retired Fire Captain with 30years experience The negative reviews are from civilian snivelers Whos opinion re you going to respect If you find a problem report it to the Red Cross Look for the positive in things folks Stay safe                 Excellent Source For Wildfire Links
The App used to work but now I see no fires burning anywhere Please fix           Updated App and now map not working
Why even market Great if you want to make a financial contribution worthless if you want information on fires and their location     Worthless
When I tap on related links looking for Oregon or Washington where I live and recreate all that appears is a small header with the states name There is no fire information     Worthless
I really liked the alerts What was a four star app just dropped in my book I dont want to have to sort through information unless I want or have to Poor choice ARC        Bring Alerts Back
Doesnt show me active wildfires anymore I know theres a shelter open it says so in Red Cross shelter finder app which I recommend but not according to this app To many glitches and no enough valuable info I work in emergency management and love Red Cross but will not recommend this app     Not accurate
I have version 11 and there is NO Wildfire news section that the description talks about My location monitored section was disabled on July 3rd but has yet to been replaced with wildfire news I have an active fire that has burned over 25 square miles only 5 miles from my home yet I can find no information about this very active fire on this app Do not disable the alerts before you have the wildfire news section up and running        I have a LARGE fire within 5 miles of my home no notification
This is a terrible app Got it for my iPhone and it is barely okay Doesnt work on my iPad Cant get any info on my state Oregon There are at least two fires going nowhere would like to find any info on them     Wildfire news
The app crashes when trying to go to the monitor location feature        App Crashes
Very handy app
Inciweb links are outdated Twitter feeds arent necessarily official sources and many official sources arent included at all Red Cross should stay in their lane and provide preparedness and shelter info but leave fire information to the official fire information sources
This app has some sort of issue opening I had an alert to update the app which i did and now the app refused to open I deleted the app reinstalled The same issue is occurring Obviously the update has some sort of bug embedded affecting its function I am deleting the app for improper function     Wildfire
I like the features of this app especially the ability to monitor multiple locations Of course it would be more useful if it actually did what it claims Im currently watching the smoke rise from a wildfire about 10 miles away but Ive received no alert despite setting a radius of 50 miles from my current location nor is it shown on the map The app clearly states that data comes from Inciweb The Inciweb website DOES list this fire and shows it on the map I want to like this app but its not very useful for the intended purpose Update as of 7313 theyve removed the alert feature of the app rather than going to the trouble of fixing it Excuse me Wasnt that the whole point of the app to alert you in case of a wildfire This app is now worthless to me and Ive given it the lowest score I can but its still too high Update the alert tab has been removed and instead its up to you to manually check wildfire news for your area Here in California there are several agencies to choose from so in addition to not alerting you to a new fire you have to go searching for information about it What a joke This app has fallen far from where it began     Great features if only it worked
Alerts were a very useful feature of this app allowing a user to quickly check status and make plans for activities As of July 3 this feature was disabled in favor of News which provides nothing more than links This app has become nothing more than a static informational pamphlet Sigh     Worthless now that Alerts are disabled
Complete app Got everything you need to learn about wildfires how to prepare for them and when one is happening near you I did notice that there was some delay between when the Santa Barbara fire started and when it appeared in my alerts However the app did say it gets the alerts from InciWeborg and I did see that it took a while to post to InciWeb Once it did though I got the alert immediately So Im not faulting the Red Cross on that Very well done                 Invaluable
If you want to keep core features dont update     Downgrade
No good at all Go back to the previous version Larry Snedegar     Red Cross Fire App
The original app was useful in that it sent alertsWith the update you are directed to fire agency websites via an in app browser window I dont need an app to surf the web for fire information App deleted     From good to worthless
Very well done app Agree with another reviewer that a red flag warning function would be very useful Tests are cool Edit 7613 App will be removing the alerts tab and replacing with news Alerts currently not being updated Boo How will I know if I am on danger or my friends are in danger without this vital piece to the app To bad        Nice app
I have used this app for couple months have quite a history now Today there is a fire near my town but I did not see the notification in this history I saw the smoke but had to poke around the app to find the info I can find no way to delete the history I only want to know current fires I guess I will have to delete the app start over to get only the current fires           Wildfire useful to know when close
Wheres the Yarnell Fire This fire has been on the countrys heart since the tragedy happened Where is the fire This app would be great if it showed the Fires           Could be better
ARC thanks for the very useful and available application I like to be up to date with critical situations and wildfires are among those Information updates need to be up to date and accurate It is great the information provided by the ARC but need to be updated Can seek up to date sources US Fire Service for example and have all information in one easy to access location So please consider hourly updates This will increase the value and traffic of your necessary application Thanks for considering              Can improve
Currently crashes when trying to set location     Crashes
Perhaps the app is overwhelmed in CA but there is absolutely NO data about the ongoing wildfires in CA Totally useless for keeping track of the Wildfire burning less than 10 miles from my home here near the Butte Mountain Fire Additionally when I tried to send feedback support questions to the developer I got an HTTP verb error Clearly something is vastly wrong with this product and the development and testing of it     No News No Data
Without the alert feature this apps is pretty much useless after reading through it the first time     Useless
There is a wild fire 10 miles from my house not to mention all the other wildfires within 100 miles and when I checked this app to find out why I wasnt notified I see on July 3rd 2013 they changed their app to send me to a generic state info page that did absolutely nothing and gave me NO info VERY DISAPPOINTING APP     Going to delete this app after review
This is a useless app I would not recommend it to anyone Tells you what websites to go to but doesnt even link to them google is faster What a piece of crap     Fire notification
I accidentally turned off the locations and am unable to correct this I deleted it and reinstalled it but it still says the same thing Very Disappointed     unable to edit
The wildfire alert option turns off at the start of the season making us have to manually check on these fast moving hazards via web links readily available online Whats the point of the app then On to of that the app directs you to a list of resources for each state and the first one listed for Washington State is wrong WA isnt even listed for InciWeb What is the point of this app taking up valuable space if it is intended to not be available when its resource is most valuable We know it cant predict problems but if it is a useful tool it should be useful yearround Stopping the service because it might be slower than these problems popup is just dumb And now the alerts are completely removed So was the app from my phone     Info for Washington State incorrect
The last update really fixed a lot of things wrong with the app I like the new look This could save your life especially if you live in and area prone to wildfires                 As good as it gets
Our company pushed this APP onto all our company phones A total waste of bandwidth     Really Useless
This is life savings info Property damage can be mitigated Using the app might save one a lot of misery Of course planning ahead so when catastrophic event happen one can avoid panic and act accordingly                 Pay Attention
This app needs a lot of improvement in regards to real time updates I have yet to learn of a wildfire firsthand from this app Pretty useless overall           Needs Improvement
I am a volunteer firefighter here in the Reno Nevada area and we have a 2000 acre brush fire burning about 15 miles north of me and this app has yet to say anything about it I would not recommend this app to anyone     Disappointed
I downloaded app because the details showed alerts the new one when I downloaded it has no alerts if alerts come back I will redownload     No alerts
Was a nice app that provided links to all the major fire sites however you could not go full screen so once you had the website address typing it into Safari allowed you to see it full screen Something happened in the 2nd week of July 2013 and they took that away I deleted the app and reinstalled but still no data at all They took away the alerts and were supposed to leave you the links to the fire command sites but they removed those as well Basically the app does nothing as far as provide information regarding the sites near you Just google fire management and you will find 4 major websites that provide this info and create a bookmark in your browser This app is no longer functional when you tap on Wildfires it just shows a video of a flame burning in the middle of the area in the ocean between North Atlantic and South Atlantic Oceans Not useful     App was working until 7313
Doesnt even alert anymore Requires your location settings to be on all the time Drains battery life sky rockets data usage Turn it off you lose local notifications     Not worth it
Very reliable appreciated prior to switching over to Fire Watch News which amounts to NO ALERTS AT ALL Not Good Essentially No Service At All        Fire watch
We have the largest wildfire in the 48 states going on and it doesnt even show on the map I expect more from the Red Cross This is worse than nothing     Terrible
Doesnt show me my location doesnt show any pins got ANY fires Says you are updating locations as of July 3rd nearly a month ago In the middle if fire season Are you nuts Im in the middle of the Oregon fires and this app is WORTHLESS Im deleting it now Thanks SO much Red Cross     Wildfires
I cant trust this app There was a forest fire less than 500 yards away from my home It burned 280 acres It was worked for 2 days It was never reported on this app Be cautious     Not good
App keeps crashing ever since the Yarnell fire
Unusable Crashes shortly after repeated attempts to run Uninstalling and reinstalling did not fix     Crashes
