I am a frequent international traveler The app works very well You do not need Wifi to connect but make sure Wifi is selected off in phone settings to use 3G Data One of those faults with the iPhone UI not the app I m in Budapest now the App correctly located my location and hotel wifi along with 80 other hotspots nearby Yes the hotspots are accurate This is your App to get if you travel Enjoy                 Works well jetset.pilot

This app has what I need but unfortunately it crashes and dies very consistently in about 10 seconds if you scan for neighborhood networks using an iPhone 4s No other app has ever done this Hopefully a later release will fix their problem     Fails consistently within 10 seconds Realisttheoriginal

App works well It does what it says Tried all the wifi apps they all can only use a hotspot database to locate wifi There is no real wifi scan Comparing this one with Wi Finder it has more accurate locations in my area NYC The network scan is something I don t see in other apps It is kind of fun to be able to sniff around in a hotspot to see who else is on                     work well bobwithipod

Many people are complaining that they can t search for a wifi hotspot without being connected to one but this is untrue Maybe they just don t know how to work it but I without any wifi connection found many hotspots in my area using this app I can give screenshots to those who don t believe The problem may be that you aren t using your 3G The 3G doesn t connect automatically if no wifi is available like other phones I too made this mistake once What you have to do is physically go into your settings as turn OFF wifi If you don t the device will constantly try to connect to wifi and won t use 3G Try that and see if it fixes your searching problem Kay                 I don t understand your complaints AzureKitsune

why i was searching for some neighbor wifi and out of nowhere it starts restarting Then when it turned back on and i was putting in my password it was frozen for like ten seconds i got so scared i deleted it DO NOT waste the second it takes to click FREE APP to download it SHEESH     WHAT Mari!!!!!!!

Lots of stupid reviews here Bottom line the network scan is great It tells you all the LAN devices IP addresses AND THEIR MANUFACTURER It must lookup MAC address patterns behind the scenes but it s amazing and ultra fast I don t even use the wifi features                     Totally worth it for the network scan alone Syclone Josh

What good is a wi fi finder if it won t scan Not much This application used the tell me exactly the networks that were within range whether they were password protected or not This was very usuful while away from home and trying to find a wi fi spot Since the upgrade of this application won t do that anymore most likely I will delelte it from my i pod     Not what it used to be Solrac11

The offline database is minimally slow to load However very useful in finding a wi fi spot if you re not in one with the large database It only gives you major street names but tap on the wi fi bubble and it will give you the address I like the fact you can zoom into the map but would be nice if more street names popped up when doing so Overall getting to a wi fi spot should be relatively easy if you aren t familiar with the area             Getting there DDP/DGP

My friend has this exact same app but it looks totaly diffrent on his On mine it s like you have to have wifi to find wifi which makes no sence since I have an itouch not an iPhone Abd it dosent even let me join the wifi it finds On his it locates wifi and let s you join it without already haveing wifi really easily Is there something wrong with my app Or did I get an update he didn t Plz fix this Make it more easy like my friends Thx     mallory w

This app went from an incredibly useful device capabilty enhancing program to an absolute piece of junk in only one upgrade It WAS a Wifi signal detector that showed all the active signals around me and allowed me to join many that the iPod standard detector could not find Typically the app showed a dozen or so while the iPod native detector would show one or two I was able to get online where I never could before This capability disappeared with the last update rendering the app complete garbage Who is responsible At one point there were several free wifi scanners available in the app store Now I find none at any price Is this a new censorship by Apple By someone else Clearly I could sign on in many more places before than I can with the iPod locator     From great to garbage Newyawka

I just spent a month in Shanghai and Tokyo This app worked well there It shows many free locations in the area I searched I was able to connect and surf couple times in both cities I also tried other wifi finder apps They can only show hotspots in hotels with paid services Well It is not hard to know that every hotel will have wifi and you need to pay for it I think because this app allows people to submit wifi points many local locations are added by local people that is a good thing for a visitor like me I don t have the Plus version so I did plan ahead I set the search radius to 20 miles to search and saved results to offline so I can use them when I was offline I would recommend it if you travel oversea                     works great in Asia mikellk
