Wheely is an application design to help wheelchair users better navigate New York City. Wheely offers users an accessible subway map along with MTA information, elevator statuses, and street view images.
This app solved a real need for me and does exactly what I need it to While its hard to believe the MTA does not offer any clear communication in this area and this app is very clear on maintenance and which subways have elevator access at each station tricky to navigate otherwise This Thanksgiving I will be giving thanks for the Wheely NYC app Awesome
I have been waiting for an app like this for a long time Easy to find accessible stations great street view images of where elevators are located Wheely even tells you if the elevators or escalators are in service or not and which ones They have even incorporated directions to the elevators themselves as well as all the MTA resources such as how to board the trains outage email and text updates And everything is offline other than the directions I can explore the map while on the subway Way to go guys An Absolute God Send for wheelchair users stroller users and the elderly
