This is by far the ABSOLUTE BEST weather app I have It is simple and accurate to use plus it gives very loud alerts before any of my other weather apps I can now delete my ABC7 NBC5 The Weather Channel WeatherAlerts and HiDef Radar apps with confidence Excellent

If you make the weather screen any smaller for more adds might just as well scrap the whole thing This is a big downgrade from the previous version Who ever designed this should design one more app then just jump off a cliff No loss to the app community You removed the scrolling locations with preview capabilities WHY Big Downgrade

Took something that was fine and RUINED the display Graphics fonts WAY to small The monochrome blue is terrible Tom would cringe How bout another upgrade back to the original displays Worst upgrade Ive ever seen

Cool because it tells you future radar and shows you sections of like tornado warningswatches and stuff like that My personal goto weather app Most reliable weather app out there

The font and size of the writing on this app is horrible Very difficult to see for someone with poor vision Please please please keep the previous app up and running for those of us with poor vision I cant even use the app on my iPhone anymore I cant read the numbers Bad for poor vision

App automatically updated on my iPhone What a disaster Im keeping the old app on my iPad as long as I can Someone took a long step backwards just to get a new photoicon Dont downgrade to the new app

This very good it tells you about warnings and when lighting has been detected Its VERY useful Also people who hate this PLEASE STOP COMPLAINING Best

I would Love to give this a 5 star but I cant because of a few things One why does it have reopen even if I already have it open Two why cant you have predict text I should be able to type a few letters of a place and it should come up Three the app drops quit a lot Let get it fixed so I can give it a 5 star Thanks Good app

This version took away the ability to see the alerts We have a tornado Warning outside and although counties are shaded red there is no way to get the full text The pop up window just displays the heading text which is useless There is no ability to scroll to see the times severity or county list important since as others have noted the new map screen is very hard to read This is not at all what I expect from WGN weather Horrible even Dangerous Update

WORST upgrade Ive ever seen Take a fine application and make it UNreadable and monotone color Terrible How about another upgrade should be real easy to go back to the previous version DISSAPOINTED

It is summer and the weather forecast for tonight says snow flurries possible What happened June 2015 update

On my iPad this new version is faster than the old version and the layout is a bit more friendly Not perfect but an improvement for me Works better for me than the old app

They should call this the WGN crash app it is useless Search for another weather app this one is useless WGN weather app

This version is the worst I have seen so far Crashes all the time even when the phone is using wifi If it wasnt for that I would give it a 5 star rating Crashes all the time

Ditto what many others have already said not user friendly difficult to locate info lookingworking thru blogs difficult It doesnt appear any user tests were done New app is terrible

This version is much worse than previous version If this is an improvement I would hate to see what a degradation would be App is inflexible Screen layout is terrible Radar area is so small as to be useless I really liked the previous app but doubt if I will use this one at all as very frustrating I will be looking for an alternative Poor app

I had this app and used it everyday for years They changed it around June 15 2015 and it is now looking like a lot of the other weather appshorrible Was good now horrible

Last week I deleted this app because I was moving to TN Now I am reloading it I could not find an app with satellite images as good as this one I will just be making TN my home screen My goto even 600 miles away

The old WGN Weather app was a must have for every device However this new update is horrid I hate it It still has the most reliable weather forecast do I will continue to have if until I find something better but I am looking Bring back the OLD APP

Awful Have used this app since its launch and was my main go to weather app for years I find myself hardly using it now the colors are too bland and its hard to read It looks like one giant blob Also the pinpointhome location on the radar is too large Im bummed This version is a downgrade

This is not as good as the original App The other one works fine so why The new one is limited and not as informative Boo Glad I didnt get rid of original app

Colors are bland and reading the 10 day and hourly forecast gives me a headache now Pinpoint on the radar too large What were they thinking Do not upgrade to the new version New version is not good

Its like they sat down and said What can we do to make this app worse Make the map area smaller Take away color from icons Make all fonts same faded color to blend into background Put in a McDonalds commercial Lets do all these horrible ideas Im will be looking for a new weather app and remembering how we once had it good Bring back the old version

I updated the app about a week ago and I had to play with it the first time to get used to the new design but seriously its fine Its slightly different but that doesnt mean its awful However I do not have any vision issues So I cant address that You do have to tap to get info that had been all on one page but that doesnt bother me A huge plus you can actually look at the blog the radar loops without the app freezing or crashing Its Just Different Not Awful

Sorry I dont like the dumbed down look of the forecast and hourly The colorful icons of the previous version made for a quick glance of the upcoming weather now you really have to concentrate and read Bring back the color

The old app was far from perfect but the new one is just a mess Typical Tom Skilling style in that there is so much info the main message is difficult to find in the clutter And why is it the forecasts Tom Skilling offers from his app WGN and the Tribune rarely agree with each other Since the forecast in the Trib has to be prepared hours in advance youd think it would be the least accurate but its usually the most accurate New app is a cluttered mess

Since the update I can barely even open this app before it crashes This used to be my goto for local weather I miss it What happened

Im not sure why they would fix something that isnt broken but they did I hate this updated version The graphics are subpar Needless to say Im using another weather app now Awful

The previous version looked better especially the 10 day which had a lot of color to identify the sunny days versus the rainy days This new version threw away the color and made them all blue icons Wish I could go back Visually this new version is a downgrade

I like the app when its up but it crashes an awful lot Im not sure whats causing the crashes because theyve happened while performing multiple function The developers need to look at the crash logs and determine root cause to address this instability Crashes All The Time

Why oh why did you mess with the app This new version is so userUNfriendly Maybe the new features looked great to you but couldnt they have been incorporated into something that looks good to the user Sad to say its no longer my favorite weather app Ugh

Took a while to see a change to this app A little getting use to but very nice upgrade to map and navigation Keep up the great work How about a paid version to drop the ads Nice

The 10 day forecast used to be the best easy to read because of the colors but with the update the 10 day forecast is all one color just like Accuweather which we all hate I might as well use Accuweather now since they do a 14 day forecast Sorry WGN your programmers really dropped the ball here DO NOT UPGRADE now Accuweather wannabe

I dont like the new daily visual I liked being able to glance at the in color graphic to know what to expect for the upcoming 10 days I wish I had read the update before doing it because I never would have I wish I could go back Bring back old version

The 10 day writing is too small The old one had a better display and was easier to read Also the location dot is too large Covers up too much area and the map itself is smaller Really wish I could revert to the old ap Not a fan of the new update

I really dislike the new upgrade I like that there is more info but I really dislike the look It is very aesthetically displeasing to the eye All one color so its hard to read and decipher the different days etc Please change it back New upgrade is awful

What a disappointment The new app is hard to read I could tell what the weather would be on a day in a glance with the old app but cannot anymore I really hope they retire this version quickly Dont like new version
