Black History education starts here! Experience the compelling life stories and view outstanding videos for 100 of the most influential African Americans in history, all in the palm of your hand. Don’t wait for Black History Month, here’s your opportunity to become better acquainted with the artists, activists, political thinkers, sports figures and entertainers who have played significant roles in shaping the African American experience.

Check out these innovative, video-enhanced flashcards and create your own ‘personal stack’ of favorites for further study or review. A quiz feature tests your knowledge about the accomplishments of these inspirational and sometimes controversial figures. Organize lists alphabetically, chronologically, or by field of endeavor. Full-length informative biographies are provided for every entry. Each biography is exclusive.

Best of all; enjoy archival and educational videos carefully selected by educational experts that reflect the best available on YouTube, without exiting the application.

See and hear inspiring leaders, achievers and artists such as James Farmer, Alice Walker, Miles Davis, and 97 others. See who made the list! Do you agree or disagree? Share your thoughts by reviewing this essential black history app.

This app is free while we continue to perfect it. Look for upgrades and new titles in the WDYK (What Do You Know) Series.

Need more

Last I knew Bob Marley, Nelson Mandela and Steven Biko were not black Americans get it right they were influential people, but not American. Good app, need to add more influences.

Whinners

It`s free people don`t complain you can find black history anywhere on the Internet.

Please add

I like the app for a quick reference. Please add Allen Allensworth. He started the first black town in America in 1908. It is now a national park.
