I thought this was a cool app to have POIs but what is not very clear in the discription is that you pay a fee for EACH POI you want to have on your map Had I known I would have never purchased this app What a ripoff     WARNING

Does not do what claimed Mostly a subway station map available for free elsewhere could not get directions from current location to nearest subway even when 3 blocks away Ripoff very inconvenient to download this nonapp when I needed it to no avail     Horrible App

This app would be the king of Metro apps if it only gave train times and schedules Comeon you know you want the 5th star              Just needs train times

In the last update they made a comment asking for a review It does what it says it does well but the one thing that DC Metro App has over this is the arrival times To most I would say this is a major factor in planning and making your trip So please add this feature adding it will give you 5 stars but without the integration it is lacking an important feature           Needs Arrival Times

Hum Im pretty sure that you had to remove the official Metro map due to licensing issues and the fact that you are making a profit off this app However please talk to WMATA to bring back the real map its just so much more informative and polished           Its all about the map

Free apps do it better This thing as with most of these Metro apps desperately needs the ability to map a walkingpath to the nearest metro station For what it does DC Rider is better        Waste of my money

This app is very useful The only thing I dont like about it now is the map from the new update could the makers please change the map back I cant find what stop is closest to Georgetown and I dont know where the stops are geographacly Thanks otherwise this app is great              Good app

Though I have lived near Washington for years I recently bought this in preparation for a trip to NYC It made my life infinitely easier as I was traveling with a child and did not want to have to get up to check a map I could time my trips better double check routes and explain where we were going to my son Lots of apps have bells and whistles but this one is actually useful                 Great App

Nice app but would be a 5 star if it was updated to include station information to include operating hours parking etc              Nice app but

On a normal trip to the nations capital this was the best most helpful app Ive ever gotten from the app store This app does everything It helps you route everything and tells you how to each specific location and its very easy to use If your going to be traveling on the metro your going to need this app Thanks for a great app                 Awesome

This app does not work and is poorly constructed The augmented section caused app to CRASH all together     DO NOT PURCHASE

Simple Fast If it had times for arrivals when a network connection is available it would be 5 stars              Needs times but otherwise great

This is just a little more than a digital metro map Useful but may not be worth the price It would be great if it could be paired up with something like AroundMe           Needs to do lot more

This app does exactly what it says and is very helpfully when trying to find your way around DC on the metro The only thing is that the tab which located the closest metro station didnt work unless you were really close to one Other than tht is works great              Very Nice and Helpful

I cant say enough about this app The graphics and interface are crisp simple and effective I love using this app to commute Metro service has gone downhill in recent months this app helps sort through at least the planning part of the trip Its one less thing to worry about                 Great app Cant travel without it

This app is the reason Im so savvy on the metro after just a few months here Its precise userfriendly and perfect for a quick doublecheck that youre on the right train One thing Id love to get arrival times on this app If they added those on an update this would be five stars              Perfect for a DCist Needs just one thing

While the new feature of augmented POIs seems like a pretty cool idea to enable ANY POI it costs 99 cents Which doesnt seem like that big of a deal but with so many FREE apps in the store that already do this it seems like something that should be included for free once youve already bought the app Some definite turn offs First the map Its the standard map of the Metro system but you CANT pinch zoom or double tap to see the entire map All you can do is just move it with your finger Second you cant use the GPS location of the iPhone to find where you are and what the closest station is Some good points its nicely designed and fast The map scrolling and stations lists are all quick and relatively easy to navigate around           So So

If you already have an understanding of the DC Metro system meaning you know where to enter and exit this app is no better than a paper map you can get for free at any Metro stop You search for the Metro stops that you want to use and this app simply tells you the route Would be worth the price if the user could input starting and ending addresses door to door and the app gives the stops to use and the walking route if needed Better off using the WMATA mobile site which is free it gives you every thing this app has to offer plus a real door to door trip planner     Basic app not as good as WMATA website

I dont visit Washington as often as I would like so I dont know the street addresses for the stations But Id like to start going more and Id like an App to help make these visits go more smoothly Could be I still havent figured out how best to use this App but during my first trip I was frustrated while on the streets of Washington because the App didnt transition well to Goggle maps Goggle map didnt support stretch I need that to read street names without my reading glasses The application should have automatically dropped a pin at the Metro stop preferably an End Pin It doesnt appear to support current location if you transition into Goggle Directions Cell tower or GPS If you are lost you dont know what to type in the StartEnd Directions lines Plus all of the required information is or could be in the iPhone why do I need to type anything So if you are lost in DC the App appears unable to get you from where you are to the closest Metro Overall the application left me lost and frustrated Since the App includes a lot of valuable information I gave it a 3 its only average With a couple small fixes it could be a 5           Frustrated trying to find a Metro station while on the streets of Washington DC

I mustve just assumed thatthere would be arrival times What was I thinking Other than that Its fine It does what its meant to do           Its okay

The app worked about as well as I could have expected The only knock and the designers cant really fix this is that once the train is undergound the tracking doesnt work Other than that the trip planner is pretty accurate and not having to carry a paper map is great Definately the best app for the DC metro that ive found              Good App

This app should be free Its just a map of DC Metro        Not Great

I like the old map more its better you guys should have something that tells you the arrival time of the metro and alternative routes also the instructions on how to get there should be easier           Could be better

I use this app every time Im in DC to figure the rail lines out It provides apart to follow from station to station only It would be far better IF 1 You could type in a startfinish address and it told u which station to go to and how to get there and complete the loop by how to get to ur destination 2 It told you which direction to go on the metro Ie Toward Shady Grove for example 3 The time until the next train arrived 4 Delays on the traintrack However for a 99 cent app it is okay at best But with the improvements it could be worth a few dollars        Could be more intuitive

Months after the new Silver Line began this app does not show it at all I had an emergency trip to DC so didnt have my pocket paper map downloaded this app while riding the train from Boston to DC I needed to ride the Metro from Union Station Red Line to the outer end of the Silver Line Total waste of money for me In that it uses the Metro logo Id thought it would be accurate Not so     Close to Useless

iTrans DC does the same thing but better On top of that while it might not have departure times tube DC has all the area metro systems not just the underground           iTrans is better

I have iTrans DC but prefer this app Nicely done with a variety of options for finding your route Updated to include service advisories developer is responsive to feature requests If they can add realtime arrival info Ill give it 6 stars                 Nicely done

I was very disappointed in this app As an iTouch user I have to rely on local WiFi to do any browsing so the only features on this I could use IN a station were viewing the system map and planning my route Which wouldve been fine IF planning a route through this app included trainbus schedules But it doesnt In fact you need to know which station you want to go to an address wont even compute And it seems as though busses dont even exist to this app     Just a map

This is a good app when its up to date It needs an update on the express lines in particular yellow     Updated needed new lines added

Well done app with lots of options for navigating the DC metro Navigate by route map linear map or station name Also provides routing guide to transfer between lines to reach destination Clever use of GPS function to locate nearest station No crashes for me                 Nice app

very disappointing unable to find nearest station relative to my current location or input address what exactly is the point of this if I cant figure out a way to get from point A to point B on the metro did I just pay 99cents for an image of the lines        wow
