I bought this app as I have a competitors Web Reader but found it to have become unreliable exhibiting quirkiness eg skipping first sentences of all paragraphs It clearly is in need of updates as it didnt do that a year ago I already have Linguatecs Voice Reader and bought an offline voice thats VERY important as both apps work better if you do So I figured since I already had a voice Kate the Brit female I thought Id give their Web reader a spin Im glad I did as it works really well much better than Voice Reader PDF reader perhaps the larger size of many PDFs accounts for its boggy response Like someone else mentioned above the voice quality of Linguatec beats the competition and even Apples voice thats builtin to Safari with iOS 5 sounds robotish in comparison This app is not perfect mind you but it works the best of any apps in the texttovoice category Ive tried offering great value eg theres a 10 app but Im not spending that kind of money just to find out if theyre better Things Id like to see added it would be nice if the browser would respond to tapping of the upper menu bar like Safari jumping to the top of the page That would save a TON of scrolling multitab browsing important if this is to be used as a replacement for Safari it should offer at least the functionality of the native browser option for autoplay after the page loads As mentioned above the ability to select where reading commences or remember where reading left off I know these are not big concerns for web pages which are smaller than 400 pg PDF files as the app is responsive enough to tab to locate the paragraph you want but it still would be nice PDF support or make Voice Reader more responsivesnappier like Voice Reader Web seems a bit of a waste of bandwidth and time for users to download 110MB of offline voice data again if you already bought a voice if it already exists somewhere in the iPhone RAM              Works pretty well

Its one that I cannot do without on my iPhone For me its such a big help and I like especially the clean text mode A usefull app not only for travelers or language freaks To developers please add AUTOFILL for forms thank you              I love this app

It works but because it has its own browser guess what Yep you guesses it their browser doesnt reflect the same stories as the original site They have some of them but they are either censoring what you can see or the stories presented on your favorite sites for some reason arent always reflected in this browser So I want to hear a storuly while Im driving Well it may not show up in hi This browser Further it only lists hyperlinks from your favorite sites not the actual site           Half of what I want

Good start What is very good compared to many other text to speech apps linguatec voices are very good i use mostly kate The option to see only text on a page being read is a very good feature What needs to improve From using apps such as webReader and seeing how it is possible to have text read immediatly as the browser presents a page i am somewhat dissapointed at the approach voiceReaderWeb has taken of first identifying a article then turning it into a audio file then having it read outloud I am not sure this is more convenient than copypaste a article in your own voice reader or ispeak etc I was hoping for an app that is simpler to use and more capable webReader for example allows the tapping on a paragraph of a larger text and have it read out without waiting for the text to convert to a audio file firstfrom what i have seen of your voice reader web so far it is not possible to start reading from a particular line in a textALSO it would be useful to have a way to highlight the current line of text being read that being said webreader is also not excellent yet their synthetic voice is not as good as yours I am not a programer but it would seem to me that you aproach of converting each web page individual files is flawed It should be more simple such as simply tapping anywhere in a text and have a very small menu pop up that offers the option read from here and that too without having to wait for conversion of the textthe idea i creating a browswer with text to speech is excellent But as is this one needs a lot of reconsidering and reprograming imhoi purchased this app on the strength of your voice reader which still has a few annoying bugs but is quite useful as is Best of luck and if you can make this app what it should be i will gladly give you 5stars and get all my friends to buy it        Good idea but

very good and useful app I agree with some bugs at the beginning but now it just great works fine amazing good voice quality very fast loading of the web sites in text view it is the exemplary application                 more such apps

Very nice price 199 plus 99 for an excellent offline female voice She is completely understandable and quite easy on the ears I search for late night comics and she reads me all the comedy bits Siri wont do it so Im thrilled that this app does my bidding A in my book                 Aok

If I could rate no star I would This App does not do what it says it will Just wanted it to read emails without copying and pasting them payed two dollars and the app would not work at all just kept freezing The free version is better I want a refund     NO STAR

The text to speech of this app is excellent and it keeps speaking after you close the phone However it only speaks a short amount of text without you doing an inapp purchase of an offline voice And even when you buy an offline voice it still will not speak the full amount of a long web page such as an Internet RFC        Doesnt read long pages

First of all apart from the page advertising their other products everything is in German Even if you read German the app goes nuts flashing then crashing when you enter an address in the browser Thanks Apple for looking out for your customers Super Job     Does not work
