When in between a note and trying to start a new note it still takes 4 taps to start a new note When in the slide over view the user interface is very bad when trying to look words on the right side of the app Those words should appear on the bottom portion of the window Using iPad Pro 12 9 2nd generation             Lack of user interface optimization Ugh kjnkhn

I call this app deceptively brilliant because it appears to be so simple and uncluttered but it conceals so much power It can be used as a simple note taker but it can also function as a powerful word processor Its support of Markdown makes it one of my handiest apps so simple no nonsense to use Its outline facility makes navigating complex documents a breeze I like the way its spell checker works and the interesting and helpful features for finding the right words make the app a must have for those for whom writing is an important task I am thrilled that I got this app and would like to recommend it strongly to anybody who needs a good reliable text creation app                     What a deceptively brilliant app Christo_de_klerk

I have a dyslexic son who is in 4th grade He started using Voice Dream Write and is enjoying the freedom it provides He loves the immediate feedback as he writes He loves the Look Up and Outline sections which include very nifty features This App is great for writing first drafts focusing on text and layout importing and exporting text and giving immediate auditory feedback I recommend it to anyone who is an auditory learner Thank you Voice Dream                     Great App mominmenlo

I feel really bad giving a bad review of writer because I m so in love with reader and how it s helped me But this product is practically unusable for me A little background I bought a really high and Bluetooth keyboard for my iPad practiced on it for a couple days then loaded up writer with the intent of trying to put 2000 words on paper But every time I try to Touch the screen to move back to a Word and edit the software would jump to the end of the document and I would lose my position At first I thought it was me maybe I was tapping the wrong spot but the more I played the more frustrated I became to the point where I am convinced the software is unusable So I soldiered on and then it started jumping to random words in my document short of throwing my iPad across the room I simply on installed and went back to using my mac         Practically unusable jumps to the end of documents without warning ReBoooot

Noticed that your help intro article in app when you first open says to hear read aloud press play at bottom but there was no play button bar at bottom of screen             No Play button JCPS Assistive Tech Center

Having used this app for quite a while I can t think of writing any other way The audible feedback lets you know how your writing will sound to someone else Great voices do a more natural job than the built in iOS reading function Editing features are what you really need for writing It is easy to hand off the draft to other programs for page layout adding graphics or other more sophisticated editing functions Audible proof reading is so much more effective than visual proof reading especially when it comes to hearing what your punctuation will sound like Very responsive developers Their straight Reader app is great too                     Began great gotten even better CGtina

This is an amazing app like a voice dream reader I can t believe how much hearing your writing does to point out weak or confusing passages I m traveling commuting daily and not usually in a decent place to read my work aloud as suggested by many professional writers and instructors Well this app will do the trick                     Fantastic writing help Xandis

This is a fabulous app that is easy to use yet has many of the powerful features one would expect in a word processor The added ability to have text read aloud helps proofreading of documents because it seems easier to notice mistakes when the text is read aloud My only suggestion is that it might be nice to be able to organize documents in folders I find it easier to group my documents by category rather than have many files displayed on the same screen I don t know how difficult this change would be for you and if it s not possible this is still a great app which I will continue to love and use daily                     Voice Dream Writer Review icnddark

As a blind person who does a fair amount of writing it is very important that I be able to use my phone to do some of this writing With voice dream writer this is now more possible than it has ever been As the description says the native voiceover tactics for selecting blocks of text our touch and go at best With this app the ability to scan a document is much more available to us as blind users The additional tools such as the dictionary also make this app absolutely wonderful In summary this app is a must have for anyone who needs to do major text editing                     Wonderful text editing app Daw007

This app has a lot of potential but it isn t quite where it needs to be yet Being someone who owns Voice Dream as well I believe this app will eventually reach it s potential Some things I would like to see incorporated to make this app more useful than novelty are 1 Allow Italics underline and bold to be used with ipad on screen keyboard and more importantly via bluetooth keyboards via the normal associated command keys 2 Instead of only having the find misspelled words function users should also be able to see when a word is misspelled immediately via the universally understood red underline Both of those features are pretty simple compared to what this app is capable of but they are essential for writers to have at their disposal Some things I would like to see but are less essential 1 Formatting options like left right and center header etc 2 Incorporation of a rhyming dictionary The ability to search by phonetics is a great and unique ideas that many poets will appreciate and a rhyming dictionary would really capitalize on it What the app does right so far 1 Makes use of the built in ipad dictionary 2 Speaks what is typed and is configureable in that regard 3 Takes advantage of the follow focus function that IOS 8 Zoom now has 4 Has a very easy way of rearranging paragraphs and sections Very useful for those who want to use this for some serious writing 5 Can export to Word or open in other apps I was very excited for this app when I saw it in the app store and ourchased it immediately but think it is not as useful as its 9 99 price tag suggests just yet             A lot of potential but not there yet Kontales85z

First off this app does not offer the ability to add non iOS voices See the developer s other app for that Second Fantastic customer service Third BEST SPELL CHECKING FEATURES OF ANY WRITING APP It offers a list and speaks the words it offers as possible corrections It also highlights all misspelled words I have used a number of other writing apps many with TTS This one is a fantastic tool that will likely only get better with each update Pros Best spell checking features of any writing app I have ever used It has a clean crisp and intuitive interface that makes it a wonderful text editor It supports some minimal markup to quickly format text as one writes It highlights text has spell checking features that other apps lack Did I mention fantastic customer service Cons No additional non iOS voices available yet lacks some other minor features that non TTS writing apps offer Really I would be picking nits if I offered a list of improvements I recommend this app for anybody that wants a near minimalist writing app with good integration of Text To Speech TTS It has a great user interface It is also offers spell checking tools not found in other apps that I have used                     Dyslexics dysgraphics and those with poor spelling this is the app for you DeadWriter

I know this was probably developed for visually impaired and blind folks I have to tell you that I used it extensively today and I m sighted individual I used it today to complete a report with about a dozen pages Very excellent Accurate to a higher degree than anything else I ve used The iPhone s speech to text kind of jumps when you dictate However the Voice Dream Writer writer just like the Voice Dream Reader is one of the best tools I ve ever used I really like it There may be some tweaking to make slight improvements later I know the developer will work on that And the I m going to put in a plug for the Voice Dream Reader a great way to read books and novels and even articles you download while on the road                     Absolutely excellent Signlaw
