I thought this app was great until I found a huge missing piece.
It can only text/email/dial someone by their FIRST name. It does not even recognize a person`s LAST name!! That means, for example, if you have more than one David in your contact list and you want to text/email/call the second or third David on your list... too bad, because Vlingo will ALWAYS use the FIRST one! I tried saying, "Text David Carlson," but it puts David Brown in the "To" field every single time. I tried using Vlingo to send a txt to my daughter which said, "I love you, sweetie!"... and to my horror, Vlingo addressed the message to the wrong Sarah! Imagine what a nightmare that would have been having to explain to my friend why I`m sending "I love you" messages to his wife, Sarah!! Geez!!! I even let Vlingo build the index on my contact list like it suggested when installing the app, but it doesn`t help.
I guess it would be a great app if all your contacts had unique names, but the way it works now makes it just about useless to me!
Doesn`t work THAT well
You have to repeat constantly the words and it`s actually not as safe as they say because you have to look at your phone after saying a command to delete the wrong name/word and type in what you actually wanted it to say
