VIVOTEK iViewer

It should be made more clear that this device doesnt support the iPod touch Even the 3rd Gen iPod which was released after the iPhone 3GS     Device Support

This program is very expensive but I own 2 Vivotek PTZs and a Vivotek Encoder have good experience with Vivotek Hardware So I said BUY NOT what i was looking for For me I just want local and port forwarding directly no middle man This product does not do that Not the product for me I guess I am hoping for an update PLEASE     I dont get it

I finaly got mine to work The problem I had was win7 firewall blocked the ports from forwarding Got it up and running with no problems I then just opened ports 544 500 and 3454 through win7 firewall I must say I prefer the Total Control Multicam app more though           Turn Off Firewall

Used the previous version It was clunky but it did work As others mentioned i had to reinstall and reconfigure cameras Now it appears to authenticate to the cam then fail to stream video I will update this review if i succeed in making the app work I will also try setting up and connecting to the server software and post results     Clunky before now just broken

I installed this app and configured it to access my St7501 servers and it works great So much faster to quickly access my camera views from my iPad Took me about 15 minutes to figure out the configuration process but everything works Would like better documentation and control over camera streams              Great app for quick access to St7501 servers

Lousy program bad frames dont waste your money     Bad

First off if a customer is going to spend what we just spent on a camera system the app need to be free I cant expect users to pay for an app like this Thats just a bad business practice Roll the app cost into your cameras and NVRs Second the app doesnt even work There is no ability to scroll and the keyboard can not be closed thus completely inhibiting the ability to log in to a server or camera Very poor execution on a pre beta quality app     Does not work at all

I liked the older version with the video control The newer version video control does not work Where is Home button Please bring back those control     Older Version 5 Star

New version requires data refresh advising you that if it fails you will have to reinstall It fails repeatedly Since there is no way to export the settings reinstalling the app means you have to add all of the cameras again manually one at a time with all the settings What a great way to do an upgrade        Fail Again

Only shows some cameras very slow I want the old version back     Update needs major work

The old app was great after update I deleted its very bad not worth the money     I viewer

Does VivoTek even try to use their product before releasing it Almost impossible to move the camera with swipes I should say it is impossible but it does a half hearted nudge in a direction It doesnt show storedsaved presets for PTZ cameras So you better have it pointed where you want to view before you open this app Very disappointed Not worth the     Terrible

If you know how to open ports in ur router it is fine and statically assign ur router ip address Suggestions fix issue with some of ur cameras so you can up the resolution on stream three so it looks good on the iPad and what a waste when u purchase a megapixel camera Vivotek does give u the free recording software so that is nice Once you get it setup very easy to use                 Work good

I currently have about 8 security camera apps and this is the worst one by far At most its a beta version in the works Too bad I really like their cameras and this is what will prevent me from recommending the camera to my clients For the first time I might ask for a refund on my app     Needs a lot of work

I have spent a lot money on vivotek cameras fix your app     Needs a lot of work

Works just fine You need latest version of st7501 installed in the server Otherwise it doesnt work Funciona bien pero se necesita tener instalado la última versión del software st7501 en el servidor No funciona con otras versiones              Good product

The new update is a nice attempt to improve functionality and UI but it simply doesnt work if you connect from an external IP Worse I tried to email support but my message was bounced back Please fix        Doesnt connect from external IP after update

This application is very expensive and worthless I did everything by the book to get it to work on my Vivotek 7112 PTZ camera The support section on the Vivotek website is also useless The process is complicated and I own several other ip cameras The other cameras were simple to set up Do not buy this app     Worst ip camera app ever

Requires reinstall in new version Doesnt properly account for iphone timezone changes For instance if you are in CST then travel to PST timezone and attempt to view recording from earlier in day you can not do so because it still thinks you are in CST time zone     Buggy

I used free version to test to different cameras and to server All worked within one minute free and this version Have IP81xx and FD81xx and server                 Does what it says

Just spent almost 20000 on Vivotek 5MP cameras for my office and cant even hardly use this app What a waste Is there an app that works better     Awful App

I dont know I purchased downloaded executed it a black screen popped up and nothing So like the title I see nothing hearing nothing so I know nothing I tried power resetting and reinstalling the app and still nothing Based on this and the other May 12 2011 reviewers experience Id have to say the app isnt ready yet and I think they released it a bit prematurely for whatever reason I installed it on an Ipod touch 3 running IOS 433 The specs say it should work on my device I paid a premium price for it so I exepected to work After all their cameras and PC software work great And now this What gives Vivotek If you wanted your customer base to test it you should have made it a free trial Did I waste my money 1 star for now Well see if there is redemption UPDATE I misinterpreted the compatibility list because it was written improperly This app does not support any version of the Ipod touch     I see nothing hear nothing know nothing
