I listen to VR every night at bedtime and love it It was much better before the update about a year ago Otherwise I would have rated 5 stars At the time of my original review the sequential play button had stopped working after the update and I could not get out of sequential play mode The delete feature in the old version was also better                 Excellent App Ugruk

So I was attempting to show a buddy how awesome this app is but ran into some trouble the app wasn t responding well so I called support and spoke to mike and he walked me through the issue all I had to do is reload the app and BAM I m back to enjoying amazing radio broadcast from when times where simpler Mike was absolutely helpful in get me back in the saddle again and had amazing customer service I highly recommend this app to anyone who wants to get away from their TV s and jump back in time and relax while listening to your favorite show You guys rock thanks again and Merry Christmas to you and your family                     Small glitch Ion1981mc

I have the iPhone X and when I tried to listen to a show I no longer had audio I deleted the app and reloaded it from the cloud When the pop up appeared I hit restore It now works as before Simple fix Also this app has super customer service It s so enjoyable to listen to shows that were written by writers with wit and intelligence Unlike the dumbed down stuff that s on now                     This app is super Hours and hours of great listening pleasure financer

I like this app because first of all the lite Version is free but I bought the premium The shows are fabulous it s easy to use and I am a lover of all time radio anyway so this is the perfect app Right now as I write this since 11 3 update on iOS it s not working well But I ve written to the app administrator and will wait and see Otherwise I give it a five                     A fun and favorite app Debilicious58

Just discovered this app It s very good well worth the subscription price If I could make a couple of suggestions 1 sort downloads by show right now they seem to be sorted just by year 2 if you could link each episode to a show synopsis that would be wonderful Most of the shows I ve sampled have good sound quality So far I ve only been disappointed with the Great Gildersleeve episodes I tried Hopefully the developers will replace low sound quality shows with cleaned up versions as they find them                     Recommended lpsterling

I ve downloaded multiple OTR apps over the last few years but this is the one that I come back to time and time again I ve had to delete it on occasion to clear up space but without fail I go and download it again shortly thereafter I ve heard every episode of most of the Crime Detective stories and have been branching out I appreciate that there is no censorship of the original ads such as when shows are sponsored by cigarette companies as I have encountered this on other apps and feel it detracts from the show as a whole Thank you so much for making something so amazing available to us in a day and age where sitting and just listening to something on the radio is so uncommon I didn t grow up in the era when these shows originally were broadcast but this makes me feel like I could have for a little while                     The best of them all Fantasia666

This is still the best Old Radio Shows app available I love this app I have made a few suggestions to the developer and to my surprise he contacted me quickly and we were able to communicate back and forth in a professional manner                     Melvin O K?a

I love this app I ve listened to all of Bob Hope s old radio shows and look forward to many other shows to listen to I especially enjoy listening to these old shows while I m in the car I have purchased an iPhone 7Plus and followed the usual protocol to move from an older phone iPhone5 to a new one backing up the old phone and then restoring the new phone from the backup However Vintage Radio wasn t working on my new iPhone7 Plus so I was frustrated A simple e mail to Orion got me the solution Michael told me to delete the old app and redownload it Then I restored my purchases the subscription and everything is working as it should be I ve tried other old time radio apps but this one is the best by far it s got the biggest variety and the shows are all clear and easy to listen to Great app and great support what s not to love Anybody interested in old time radio shows should download this app and get one of the subscriptions so that you can enjoy these great shows many aired live with little rehearsal and it s great fun to listen to the ad libbing to cover their mistakes                     Great App for listening to old time radio shows dhbailey

Developer sent me a fix You have to delete the app and reinstall after each backup Still a pain but at least I can listen again Used to be awesome I subscribed for the last two years Latest update has lots of bugs It will download a file but won t let you play it Tried restoring my subscription which is successful but still no good Going to have to get my OTR fix elsewhere                 Developer sent a recommended fix andrewr85

I grew up in the 70 s and early 80 s My grandfather use to collect reel to reel movies and old movie posters A publication I think it was called The Big Reel allowed him to buy and trade movies posters and other movie related items In addition to old movies many of the radio stations of my youth played reruns of old radio shows and the long ride from school 74 miles long story was made shorter by the classics that made up the golden years of radio I urge you to take time as you listen to the shows to refresh yourself about the world events that had a strong influence on the shows and their perspective world view My grandfather was born in 1889 in his lifetime 91 years he went from the way people lived for thousands of years to the nuclear power and men on the moon In his life he saw the raise of radio its super stars and then its eventual decline and replacement with broadcast TV If you take the time to learn about the old shows about their actors and actresses I promise your life will be a little fuller and hopefully you can experience a little of the most incredible time of transition in human history Lastly when shows seem silly or even dumb remember that looking forward to our generation the previous would be both amazed and appalled at what they would see Regardless Vintage radio is the easiest way for you to experience radios past I want Vintage Radio to be successful for many reasons but I won t lie and tell you the app is smooth running and without issues Truth is the app is seldom stable after Apple updates iOS and the issues often grow worse until after a major update Of course I m not privileged to insider knowledge of Vintage Radio but from a users viewpoint it seems like they struggle to keep software up to date and even when you notify them of an issue the issue persists until the next update and updates are far and few between So I would tell you to download the app enjoy the shows but don t expect a bug free application             I ve used for years Very frustrating to use BLT41567

I had re purchased the app and was experiencing some of the issues l read about in the reviews A quick email to Vintage Radio informed me to simply delete it and re download it Then restore the purchase of the subscription To do that 1 Delete and then re download 2 At the top of the first screen slide the banner over to the third screen 3 Tap on Want more 4 Tap on Purchase Subscription It will NOT automatically charge you again 5 At the bottom of the Subscription page touch Restore If you have a subscription it will be restored and the full functionality of the app is returned I haven t used it in over a year and it is soooo much better than it was before Great way to experience these awesome old radio shows                     Cool App Easy fix to problems you may be experiencing Kubrickfan

Recently did a nice upgrade but it fails to work properly You cannot use the playlist as it is not a choice given when clicking on a show Also the shows play endlessly until you shut them off very annoying if you want to play a show while falling off to sleep as it NEVER turns off so it wakes you and you manually have to turn it off Terrible service     Poor app Billy1d:()4$&

Two different times my password stopped working possible I forgot but not likely Once you forget your password or it somehow doesn t work there is no way to retrieve it You have to rebuy your subscription     password rip off mythoughts222

Several years ago my family and began listening to the old radio shows that played on Sirius XM while on road trips It was a way of making the miles pass quickly I became addicted When I came across this app I was overjoyed and have stayed that way through the past couple of years using it This is an era gone by that if it were not for individuals like the creator of this website and app would be lost to the world today The imaginations of the writers actors and listeners are on full display with many of the available programs Thanks for the hard work to whoever is responsible Please keep it up                     Love It PSPatton
