This is a very nice app and helps a lot on the sidelines But if it could be downloaded onto an iPad it would be that much more convenient and easier to use Great app VHCoach
I have used it in past seasons and it has been fine This season I can t get it to let me add my team I tap where it says to but nothing happens I have tried resetting app still doesn t work Need to be fixed mrnabob
Changes made to the app this year are really glitchy I get doubles of all my players on game day and it no longer auto populates the rotation each quarter Pls bring back the functionality it used to have Love the mission Used to love the app MLMonaLisa
Like other reviews have said most of the time when I switch away for the app for more than a minute I m logged out And that makes it nearly useless in games or practices when I want to refer to the practice plan on my phone Make it stay logged in Moltiple
If I am supposed to use this during a game I don t have time to type in my login every time I open the app Either make it stay logged in or at least use Touch ID This app is useless during practices and or games because of the login issues Has potential Laneylearner
The app logs me out periodically It even happens during games and messes up our substitutions Substitutions are the main reason I like the idea of this app Just need some major bug fixes and optimization for newer phones Keeps logging out JordanReese

It seems like something has changed since I used this last season Now I find myself needing to renter both username and password ALL THE TIME This is incredibly inconvenient Especially during practice or games Please give me an option to save username at least and password Or integrate with touch Id At this point paper seems move convenient Why do I need to log back in so many times bpate96

Rarely have I see an apps quality declines through the years The Upward App has done so in a big way The incredibly ridiculous log in procedure and the app not retaining changes I made led me back to doing everything on paper I love Upward Sports but this app which used to make game day and practice easier is now the biggest frustration of the season Disgusted tslytheone
The Upward Basketball app did a great job of helping me see the star distribution and making quick substitution No problems for the coaches here 4 8 5 stars Solid App for Coaches MegaClark
I ve used this app for the past 4 years without complaint This year was difficult getting access to log on to Once that was resolved it has been smooth sailing My only recommendation would be to streamline the Star assignments It s a little clunky in my opinion Upward App jody_h38
I gave this app 4 stars because it s very helpful with the substitution process which can be tricky Overall I think it s great but I didn t give it 5 stars because it could use a few helpful tweaks 1 When the substitution lineup is showing it would be nice if it would color code the players with the red orange yellow green blue ranking system instead of displaying their rank on the team which isn t useful during the game 2 It would be nice if you have multiple coaches for one team if the apps would sync between Such as player rankings stars and lineups on gameday Other than that I really like it Extremely helpful app could use some tweaks Austinj_22
I ve coached upward Basketball for 4 years and never had problems This year half the time it doesn t load says I have no teams or only loads half the info I need ex We were on week 6 of practice and it only loaded up to week 3 Why change it OCD 20

The only thing this does for you is your substitutions There s a clipboard button but it doesn t work for anything If you de activate a player re activation is an awkward process Practice plans are useful to have on your device that s the only reason why it s not a 1 star app Poor Design worse execution Coach Weavz
This is my first year coaching and this app really simplifies the lineup I use it with my coach s book and it helps Easy to maneuver lineups TheRealBriMac
I really enjoy Upward but this app is not reliable Half the time it works the other half it leaves you stranded I used the Soccer App and it was wonderful I can t depend on this app because when I need it I can t count on it to open I ll keep trying it in the hopes that all the glitches will be fixed Unreliable Jackson5&counting

Hi I am having trouble entering my last player into the app It only allows allows me a j rank but I need a k because I have 11 players The app wont allow me to give two players a J rank and it wont save my player info to the roster without a rank Need more rank letters for players

I am loving this especially on my iPadless on iPhone I am either missing something perhaps obvious or there is a design feature missing that some of us need Until I recruit more coaches I am coaching two teams it was four when I discovered the problem Since they are from differentaged leagues I need to be able to access the differentage Practice Plans However when I try to pull up the second plan of the night for a second team the first plan continues to present I thought that I could go back and check to see if I entered the wrong age group for the team However I could not get back into the team setup to edit the age group IF indeed that was what was wrong Multiple Teams
My wonderful league director has put 12 kids on each team Regretfully the app only allows you to assign ranks to 10 players As if equally subbing 12 players wasnt hard enough I now cant even add two players to my roster lol Why limit the number of ranks A little shortsited IMHO App is great needs one little tweak
Seems like it could be a gear app for a coach but it only has space for 10 players Needs more space Please correct and Ill give it 5 stars Dont buy unless you have a team of 10 only Coach
This app has only limited use you can use it to rotate players by periods or view practice plans but thats about it You cannot use it to rotate positions and it is designed for iPhone only so expect to view on a small screen or with poor resolution when you 2X on an iPad screen Further disappointment is that you get to pay for the app Youre better off saving the buck and just using paper youll end up doing so anyway Poor implementation
This app needs to add 5th8th grade Also need to be able to change quarters and how long each quarter will last Need to add 5th8th grade
As a first time Upward basketball coach this app is already helping me before the season even starts After taking the training class I was confused and anxious about learning the substitution system but this app does it all for you My only complaint is that the app is designed for the iPhone which doesnt look real great on my iPad in full screen I would love to see an iPad specific app Great
I managed to add 11 players to my roster First make your 10 player roster AJ Then edit one of your players and rerank the player as one you have already used Ex player J gets reranked to A You will now have 2 players with A rankings Then simply add another player as J Not perfect but it does the roster substitutions tracks stars etc Should work for as many players as you have Hope it helps Adding more than 10 players
This app would be 5 stars were it not for the fact it only supports 10 players Please make it infinitely flexible as far as the number of players Support for more than 10 players needed
I just set it up and realized theres not a way to email the team parents I entered all the contact info and then tried to send a noteoops Hopefully the next update will add it Its a good start

I agree with others regarding their comments on the appI went to load up my team and the program and only accommodate six playerswith nine players on the team that essentially makes the app worthless for planning and assigning starsI would not recommend purchasing this app until the issue is resolved Severe Limits to the App

This is going to help ALOT this season We have 3 coaches 1 head 2 assistants and we used to have to pass the clipboard around for everyone to check substitutions colors etc With this we can all check the information on our phones Great app Very useful
With all the technology in the world why are we still having to type in all the students information Why not have a league id number a coach id number and then a predetermined coach password that the league director would then hand to each coach This would mean a simple log in that would update information based on the directors Upward computer program Its already being used to sync between the internet so the information is halfway there Needs some upgrades
The practice page wont ever load But other than that it seems like a cool app A little frustrated
I LOVE paperless coaching So much less stuff to haul from home to practice to home to games and back again I am a site coordinator with so much going on on game days and this makes coaching my team easy and seamless LOVE IT Love it

The app is lacking some key features It needs a drawing board where you can diagram plays and show player positions on the court It needs a place to make notes And it needs a place to check in players as they arrive If you could check in players then the gameday portion of the app could automatically adjust your lineup and available players by dropping out those that arent present at the game Upward Basketball Coach App
Agree with a previous review This app is a good addition but I also had a player out for our 1st game When I removed the player it did not sub the remaining payers correctly The app was useless for the remainder of the game Changing your lineup minutes before the game is always frustrating I was hoping the app would do this correctly Disappointed The main time saving part of the app does not work
If you cant add all your players whats the point of app Need to put eleven players in Please fix asap Need to add more players
I agree with the others The app needs room to rank additional players We have Eleven on our team Need more player options
Once I tested this app I thought to myself this makes gameday and practice so much easier No books paper or pencils required My new favorite app
