The old app worked solidly This new app has so many display issues The difference seems to be as stark as the old version was a native app and this new one seems to be like a poorly upscaled web interface     Terrible update

Thank you for addressing the iPhone 6 check snap issue now how about connectivity I need three bars of lte to get the connection with this wrapper              So much better

This app is very frustrating to use It constantly tells me pics are blurry or part of the check is missing in the photo when neither is happening However it will take blurry photos cuz it goes so fast I use the app because theres only 1 branch location in my city and its not convenient but this needs a legit update Come on Umpqua           Please fix your app

I like the interface on this app better than their previous app However I have found it to be very unreliable It is very particular about the pictures of the checks you take It took me a while to find the right background and lighting which would be acceptable to the application I frequently run into processing errors These two items have made it a very frustrating app to use 310 UpdateI deposit 46 checks a week I have found the camera for this app to be absolutely horrible I actually drove to the bank today to make deposits If they dont get this fixed soon I may be shopping for a new bank 330 updatethe bank still has not fixed the check deposit feature of this app I send them messages on a regular basis This is the message I receive now when trying to deposit a check We couldnt read your photo Please try again with good lighting clear focus and all four corners visible After trying 4 or 5 times I give up and drive to the closest branch I know its not my phone camera that has the issue I use mobile check depositing with another bank and it works the first attempt every time     Not very reliable

The old app worked most the time this one wont even open     App wont even open

Horrible The 2 reasons I switched to Umpqua was 1 it was a smaller bank and 2 it still offered a mobile app Every app they have offered since being a customer has been terrible Unreliable 50 of the time     Just

About 50 of the time the Umpqua app will not connect to the Internet I have no issues with any other apps including Chase Bank and Bank of America     Umpqua app

I was optimistic that my experience would be better than the other reviewers but I cant log on in the app and even the contact us feature doesnt work Whoever signed off on this app just needs to go     Wow really bad

I tried to use this app both on my iphone and iPad I tried deleting and redownloading The app will not open I have to use safari or log on from a computer to do any online banking A shame since the old app worked perfectly     One star because no stars not an option

A very disappointing update to the old app In my experience the success rate for even being able to get logged in and view basic account information is sub 30 It simply doesnt even work With that in mind I have not been able to spend much time using any of the updates new features Ive been with Umpqua for nearly a decade but will sadly be switching banks due to their in adequacy online and mobile     Truly Terrible

Ive been an umpqua customer for a long time and am starting to get fed up with the whole bank Started small and now that they are growing the whole bank is unreliable This app works once in a blue moon and doesnt without wifi I like the format of the new app but at least the old one worked     What a joke

When I enter my user name and password Im told my information cant be validated When I click Contact Us the app freezes up and I have to just uninstall it and try again     Cant log in

I probably would appreciate this app a little more if I could actually log in more that 25 of the time Its terrible and very unreliable The update only helped slightly I have been an umpqua bank customer for 14 years and am considering changing     Go back to old app

If you are a cutting edge bank youll put some time and effort into adding fingerprint ID and a cleaning up the interface           Still waiting

Great upgrade to online banking The iPad and iPhone apps are identical to the browser experience which is a nice improvement to the usual online banking experience The look feel matches Umpqua Very clean and elegant Well done                 Well done

Their computer is so hard working it charges you every time it lifts a finger Their app is just a dedicated web browser and their web site is shallow and broken Start with a credit Union and dont get trapped like I did     Save yourself avoid umpqua bank

This app stinks It will only start up 1 out of 10 times Its almost as bad as their customer service And they just gave their president Ray Davis a 1000000yr raise for screwing it up after their big deal merger Time to find a new bank     Almost as bad as their customer service

Recently months worth of purchases have been showing as pending making it difficult to know what has actually gone through and what my balance is This app is unreliable     Very frustrating

Poor color and font size makes bill pay on iPad nearly impossible Hangs up or stalls and I am still cleaning up lost transfers Entire implementation has cost me many hours and considering changing banks Too bad as their service staff are good     Very frustrating

This used to be a decent app for basic banking functions eg balance bill pay money transfers Now well now its useless As others have already stated its basically a link to Umpquas website It is unreliable difficult to view on a phone and just bad all around     Is this for real

This app is such a disappointment Half the time it wont even log in the other half youre given an error has occurred and says to call during normal business hours The old app was not very intuitive but at least it was functional This new app is pretty much useless     Old app was at least functional

I have been able to access my Umpqua accounts via my iPad until today Today I tried their app and got what appeared to be information for a smart phone with the wrong account number Now when I try to get them via their website I still get the smart phone with the wrong account number Another phone call to them tomorrow       

This app is a nearmiss embarrassment of bad execution which in this day and age is pretty inexcusable for a bank of Umpquas size If youre going to have an app make it work At a glance everything looks fine all the basic features are there and the app isnt bad looking Until you try to use it To start with its still not optimized for iPhone 6 almost a year on And its clearly just a web view which feels noticeably slow navigating around and sometimes does weird things in landscape view for example the menu that slides in from the left gets cut off at the bottom in landscape view and theres no way to scroll it Tapping on the button to find an ATM or branch gives a nonsensical warning about disabling popup blockers and the web view that opens talks about browser features instead of understanding youre using an app and even displays the URL at the bottomfeels kludgy and funky Oh and of course the use my current location link to find a nearby ATM doesnt actually you know do thatit outright fails On the more advanced technology front this app of course doesnt use the TouchID sensor so despite having a biometric fingerprint reader right there on my device I have to type in my password every time I want to use the app At least it remembers the username Worst of all is check depositing though I assume its the number one feature people want to use the app for so they dont need to find an ATM or branch to deposit checks Its certainly the main reason I want it Problem 1 The camera feature has no shutter button and is on a ridiculously fast hair trigger that automatically takes a photo as soon as it thinks youve got the check in the middle of the frame Except it doesnt leave anywhere near enough time for you to hold the camera still or even to let the lens autofocus so it usually takes three our four tries of carefully holding the phone where you think is the right place before tapping the front of check button before you get one thats in focus Its an exercise in frustration and terrible user interface design Clearly nobody who built the thing actually ever tried using it And then it just fails on a cryptic something went wrongcall a branch error message at least half the time No explanation if this is their web system being broken if theres something wrong with the photos or if theres something wonky with your phone You just spend the couple minutes typing in the check amount fighting to get a decent photo and then have it fail If you call in they pretty much just tell you to delete the app and redownload it which doesnt help In the end given how often it doesnt even work I think its actually faster to just stop by an ATM to deposit checks Which is ridiculous How did this thing ship Did they not even try it Or do they just not care        Embarrassing

This app seems like someones first attempt to write an iOS app The keyboard is the one from iOS 6 Nothing has been updated for the iPhone 5 let alone the iPhone 5s6 or 6s Their contact us page is a PICTURE of their contact info You have to write down the number and then go into the phone app and dial it How hard is it to make it a link Besides all the weird design things it often doesnt connect and doesnt have all the features of their web app Two factor authentication often never sends a text message and so I have been locked out of my account for days Total amateur hour Worst app on my phone     Remarkably bad

I too have had the problems described by others If I succeed in logging in it takes the pictures for me why how helpfulNOT without giving the camera a chance to focus or letting you stop moving the iPad into position Once it took the pictures it gave the familiar Oops something went wrong message Oops im headed off to US Bank     Waste of time

While recent updates have made some improvements depositing checks with this app is difficult because of the mechanics of how the images of the checks are taken 1 The images of the checks are taken automatically 2 The app takes the picture as soon as the rectangle in the app aligns with the corners of the check It doesnt wait until the iPhone has finished focusing Umpqua really needs to get this app repaired check images can be taken automatically but after aligning the rectangle the app should wait 12second or so to allow the iPhone to focus I cant tell you how many times the app fails to correctly process a check because it cant read the numbers This is shear stupidity To add insult to injury when a deposit fails the app doesnt retain the account selection or the amount so you as you retake the images of the check you have to reenter the setup information ARGH        Depositing checks is difficult

This is the first banking app where Ive been able to do virtually everything I can do through the website The only drawback is the speed It is slow to load and navigate              Extended Features

Fire your current app designer The previous version worked fine Whatever they did completely ruined this app It wont load if you can get it to load you cant sign it Its beyond frustrating Also the same personcompany must be your web designer because it has as many problems as the app PLEASE FIRE AND HIRED COMPETENT COMPANY     App Designer

I downloaded this app specifically because I wanted to be able to deposit checks It worked for a while then would simply crash when I try to take a picture of the check I downloaded the recent update thinking that would address it but it didnt Please fix this           Fix your check deposit

After the debacle in February Umpqua software still has problems with Apple products Cant deposit checks from iPad must use Safari to access Umpqua site before using iPhone app At least they have stopped saying the worlds greatest bank at customer service As of July 13 new version does not work with check deposit     Umpqua Pain

The app is basically a web browser book marked to their mobile site but without an address bar and back button It crashes a lot Its slow I just joined Umpqua and now quickly leaving I need a real banking app not some terrible mobile site     App is a crappy web browser

This is seriously the worst app Ive ever used Mobile banking is next to impossible with this app but since we work and live in the country we have to try to make it work The app automatically takes the picture whether or not the image is in focus It fails often Even if the image is clear Wish they would take an example of Schools Credit Union mobile banking app it works every single time Allows the user to take the picture so theres less failure and frustration We have been with Umpqua for YEARS but plan on changing banks if they dont get this straightened out soon Weve been patient for the past year hoping they get the bugs worked out But unfortunately for them it doesnt look promising     Worst App Ever
