The UltraChicago Chicago Marathon Edition is now available as a free download on Apple Store for iPhone owners. The application is supporting English language. It weighs in at only 10MB to download. It is highly advisable to have the latest app version installed so that you don`t miss out on the fresh new features and improvements. The current app version 2.0.2 has been released on 2014-11-23. The Apple Store includes a very useful feature that will check if your device and iOS version are both compatible with the app. Most iPhone and iPad are compatible. This app worked perfectly today for the Chicago Marathon In conjunction with text message updates we were able to plan our route for watching the race and the ETA for our racer was pretty accurate Great App

Awful Just awful I signed up for text alerts but then saw this app figured I could track everyone the whole race I was sadly mistaken It had everyone at an 8 minmile the whole race At first I yelled at it trying to telepathically tell my sister to slow down Then realized it was inaccurate as no one runs every mile at the same pace You should be ashamed of stealing money from usif it was more than 99 ild probably fight for my 1 star only cause 0 isnt allowed I want my back

Looks good Many complaints from former reviews have been addressed and it seems to work very well Other complaints are about the unrelated runner tracking service This app does what it claims and seems to do it well Has good spectator suggestions Well see how it holds up on race day but I like it Greatly improved vastly underrated

I read the description so I knew what it wouldwouldnt do Having said that I used it during the 2011 chicago marathon and it helped me plan effectively to meet my runner at 5 different points along the course The interactive map with location was very helpful as well for when I came out of a train station and needed to know exactly where I was located Link to main website came in handy as well Thanks Worked Great
The pace and delay start only allow limited accuracy for input For example you can only specify whole minutes for start delay and only quarter minute accuracy for pace Tracking will not be accurate Perhaps the map will be useful Well see Waste of money

Prior to purchasing this app the plan was for my wife to meet me at the 2 and 13 mile mark then for her head back to the finish line She is not at all comfortable navigating around on the CTA to different spots around the route The night before I told her that I purchased this app and that she should give it a try It worked out GREAT Instead of seeing her at the two agreed upon meeting points I ended up seeing her in three additional spots later on in the race
The interactive map is outstanding To take it to the next level the developer could consider integrating the map with pace estimator so that the spectator would be able to see if on the map itself where the runner is projected to be on the course Great app for the directionally challenged
Love the app but not accounting for start time for wave 2 which starts at 8 am The max lag time if you input manually is only 54 minutes Please fix by Sunday Wave 2 start time not working
This app was a complete waste of 99 The app was unable to accurately track my runner and stated that my runner finished an hour and a half earlier then she actually did Every mile marker was wrong and so was the average speed of the runner Very disappointing Horrible

I was so excited to use this app but it was a waste of money and battery life on my phone I tried to track about 6 runners It showed the same info for all of them thru the entire race Not sure who it was tracking but it wasnt anyone I was watching Very disappointing
Im still waiting to receive notification that my friend finished the race 36 hours after the fact Wanted to travel to various locations to cheer and encourage her 1st text came 45 minutes after she crossed the start line 2nd text came at 30k again almost an hr after the fact What a waste Should contact BBB Extremely disappointed

This app was perfect in helping me plan and execute a strategy to view my first Chicago Marathon My husband ran this marathon for the first time and we had several other friends running as well Using the viewing tips I was able to plan 3 locations to see my runners and determined the best routes for getting around On race day I used the pace estimator to determine when I would see the runners I was tracking It was spot on I was also receiving text messages only runners pacing I used the interactive course map several times when I called an audible to change my last viewing location The only thing that could make this app better would be a way to change pacing ifwhen a runner slows down Thanks for helping make my first Chi Marathon a success Gold Medal

I used this app last year and it was great This year it looks like the runners have to be using the app to track I like the estimate from last year My runners wont be running with phones So wont be able to use this app Wish there was a choice Not as expected

This is the only app created for the Chicago Marathon Seriously Over 40000 runners annually multiplied by all their friends and family dying to track them goldmine Each runner has an RFID tag on their shoe So you would think punching in their bib numbers to track them would be the price of entry for any app No such luck Instead you get an estimator that isnt even based on the local time Its based on elapsed time It assumes you know a runners start delay Unknowable So if you expect to be able to estimate what local time a given runner will pass a certain spot forget it But the Italian Restaurant guide is terrific Huh Two stars for the route map Available free elsewhere At least somebody tried
