U.S. NEXRAD RADAR

As a certified weather geek who grew up watching hurricanes while growing up in Miami this is a good basic application I enjoy the ability to see the local weather situation wherever I am as long as there is a radar nearby Just used this the other day while playing golf in central FL and was able to decide when to get off the course Not too certain about the Ref and Velocity options but there are directions on where to find out more At times it would be nice to see weather on a larger scale but for close in local weather this App works for me              Good for Local Weather

I find this a little hard to use on an ipod touch without gps My current location doesnt match the apps idea where my current location is requiring me to find where I am by dragging accross the nation           A little hard to use

Tried over half a dozen radar apps including higher rated ones though not the 999 one and this is still my goto because its the fastest easiest to use and displays the best The only demerits are the inability to turn off the distance circles and not remembering the last zoomed image though most apps dont either                 Simple but effective

Very good and clear need the continue loop but all other are good best of any weather radar App and very cheap              Good App

The relative velocities doesnt seem to work real well average app at best           OK

I havent actually checked the radar accuracy but from a GUI point of view this app is very very good I have run many of these radar apps and while each has its own feature to love not one has come close to the ease of use that this provides After a few more days of use I will update this report but for now I want to make sure people know just how much attention was paid to the interface                 A GUI miracle

About the best Radar App in the store Very easy to use quick and accurate with little to no wait time Great for all pilots or anyone else interested in getting a detailed look at what Doppler radars are showing in a given area                 Wonderful

I dont get it You make an app with public information but you only include half of the public radar points Charge an extra buck man and finish this thing People will pay it        Needs more locations

Ive tried a lot of different weather apps and this one has the worst image longest load time and the absolute worst loop feature What good is is when the loop shows 5 scenes then I have to press loop again Shouldnt it be a constant animation after I press the button or is that expecting to much Download Radar US Its free and much more user friendly If I could rate this app lower than one star I would     Worst to date

Not worth 99cents doesnt have common NEXRAD features like composite reflectivityfor detecting light snow and vertically integrated liquidfor detecting hail     Lacks NEXRAD features

This App is awesome The BEST use of NEXRAD out there Whether you are a pilot or not you can easily figure out what is out there and where it is moving to Highly recommend it                 Awesome

So it may not be the fastest responding application and may not be feature rich or offer tons of data But it seemingly offers me the data I need from the NEXTRAD sites I have wanted to see I have five other paid radar products in use This one while not offering fancier features seems to be able to do one thing those do not it shows street level mapping with my position against storm data velocity and reflectivity from the nearest radar site while laying parameter rings on the map so I know where the radar coverage ends So far this is the only program Ive found that covers all of these angles Con Its still glitchy sometimes Hiccups and kicks me out For a buck You cant miss Stick that crowbar your wallet and give it a try           Im not bummed out by it

Radar has quit working please fix the bug     It quit working

The map shows over 300 minute delay and shows incomplete data Very disappointed        Hasnt worked for three days

This is a great radar app It has good graphics and is priced right I use radar scope more as it is better but for the money you cant beat this app              Great app

This app frequently does not connect even with good 3gs connection Looping is done manually which is a pain Circle marks cannot be turned off and echoes from other radar stations are not shown I have since downloaded other apps which are much better     Other radar apps better

The definition of looping is repeated cycles until you stop it Not tapping repeatedly This is not a feature or cool This needs fixing Regional views with multiple radar sites is key too           Needs to loop

This is a fine little app when the server is up but thats the problem the server is usually down When the server is accessable the app is reasonably quick on wifi and still useable on 3G with nice images But the server is unavailable so often that its become easier and quicker to just use Safari to hit a NWS radar page At least they are reliable           The server is usually down
