As others have said the app frequently crashes or content does not load The content is good The web browser version seems to work well so Ive taken yo using it instead Please test and update this app to a stable version     The app is unstable the content is good

As a master student I was stoked about the new features and free and easy access while on the road Unfortunately there are many many bugs Only supports profile view so no landscape view on iPad Cant return from fullscreen mode goes to blank white page and have to close app and reopen sign in again then find my way back to where I was App often crashes when trying to open a new video from lesson menu Free access for Master and Pro students is indeed here but not so intuitive A special button would be great I love the ideas and intention behind this app but the execution of this version leaves much to be desired Think Ill stick with viewing lessons via Safari until I know the exterminator has taken care of all the bugs        Great intentions and eek Bugs galore

App is much better behaved now At first I was a bit bummed that it only works in portrait mode until I found out it plays really nicely with the AppleTV I can project the video on the TV and read the PDF chart on the iPad I love this feature Keep it up folks              Much more stable

I think this app has great potential but It crashes every 5 minutes You have to sign back in every single time you use it even though it saves your user info There is no option to play through to the next video automatically There is no option to get the guitar pro files from the app I have the guitar pro app on my iPad so that would be a great feature And the biggest oversight to me is that the app cant rotate Which I guess is really a mild inconvenience but its such a norm for apps to be able to do and would make my experience much much better Hopefully someone reads this and makes some changes Im a faithful all access user and have purchased a number of courses over the years     Great content Consistent crashing feature oversights

Agree with previous post This app is long awaited but they have missed the mark The fact that you cant use it in landscape and that it crashes when you try is a deal breaker Get to work Trufire and fix this app so that it is useful     Not useful yet

Every lesson I have purchased is available from the online library without having to download it into my iPad taking up valuable space I can work on any lesson anywhere I have wifi access Video lessons tabs music notation chord shapes scale patterns backing tracks are all right there Granted lessons take awhile to buffer but its worth the wait If Im going to be somewhere without wifi I just download a couple lesson sections ahead of time to work on There has never been any question about the quality of the instructors and the lessons on Truefire Robben Ford Larry Carlton Corey Congelio Robbie Calvo Anthony Stauffer If youre a guitar player download this app              Not perfect but I love it

I love Truefire and wish I could say something nice but this is awful Visually cluttered slow works only in portrait mode and crashes every time I use it No updates to fix any of these problems since introduction Cmon hire some real developers and keep it simple so basic functions work properly     Worse the the previous iPad apps

Ive purchased many courses from Truefirewhere are they     Where are my courses

This version can load courses you brought but no sound Updated to latest iOS Running on ipad3     No Sound

I initially thought you had to purchase the courses to be able to watch them However if you are a paying monthly subscriber you get access to all courses 5 stars and I am hitting the woodshed                 Excellent Been waiting for this forever

Long time subscriber of truefire so definitely excited to see this app Unfortunately even the basics does not work properly Starting with the alignment of the iPad if I flip it the video vanishes with a white screen I consider this as basics No excuses here Fix this guys and please test before you publish     Good effort not sure if tested the basic stuff

When it does work its pretty good However some lessons just wont play The player shows 000 as the length of the lesson Way overdue for a bug fix unless they just abandoned this project     Crashes all the time

Save your moneydo NOT buy from True Fire The App crashes constantly ipad compatibility is poor Tech support is HORRIBLE It took me three days of haggling with them before I could get a refund Also I think the true fire content is marginal They look flashy but much of the content is incomplete Few lessons are tabbed and instructors do not always do a good job of explaining what they are doing     App Crashes Constantly

So let me get this straight I have spent hundreds of dollars if not way more over the years buying courses and now you want another five bucks per course to upgrade each one to ipad access No Just no This is a simply a cash grab I would be willing to pay a one time fee to upgrade everything but certainly not the 400 plus it would take at five bucks per This could become useful but for now i will just stick to the laptop        Per course upgrade

The content is great but the app is constantly crashing There are lessons to courses I have paid for that dont download at all Come on I write mobile apps for streaming video for a living The things that are happening are basic amateurs bugs They have been going on since this app was uploaded to the apps store FIX THEM        Very buggy

I have purchased several of their 50 licks apps in the past and I believe they were 1999 each Many dont work now after upgrades and when I went to see what others were saying about them the apps are no longer in the app store Update begins here I looked closer at this app and found that it had the apps I had already purchased as inapp purchases I contacted Truefire through their website and explained my situation and they made the apps that I had already purchased available within this app I dont remember exactly how long it took for them to respond but it was within a few hours I appreciate the quick response and them righting what I thought was wrong With all that said when I tried to download and play some videos in some of the inapp purchases the app crashed If I played them directly online they worked              Review Update

First off this app only works in portrait orientation which seems like a huge oversight to me now I cant use my iPad coverstand and will have to set the device on a music stand Also when expanding video to full screen which since its portraitonly is little if any bigger than normal view the app will essentially crash when you return to normal view I get a blank white screen with no way to interact the video keeps going though now impossible to stop so I have to forcequit the app On top of this despite my having to log in the app is completely unaware of my playlist from TrueFires site Honestly I cant see any reason why this app is preferable to just using the TF website on my iPad This thing needs serious serious work     Buggy and limited functionality

Ive been a pro member of Truefire for nearly a year and I think its THE best online resource for learning guitar and bass The instructors are all superb in every genre The multiangle video presentation and production is very well done The range of material from beginner to progjazzmetal virtuoso guarantees youll have something to learn at every level The ability to stream the entire library with a subscription means that Ill investigate genres like country or gypsy jazz which I otherwise wouldnt have exposure to Im glad theyve released this new app The iPad is the perfect interface for these lessons Being able to scrub through the video for that tricky part in the lick is a godsend in addition to being able to set up loops to really dig deeper You can also toggle between the teachers performance and the backing track to work out the lick on your own Awesome There are some flaws in the presentation though Theres no landscape mode except in full screen which prevents you from seeing the notation Worst of all the playback controls are smack in the middle of the fretboard in every video This is an unforgivable offense for me The playback controls need to be able to toggle onoff have a minimized view with just the scrub bar or be able to reposition elsewhere on the screen It would also be nice to be able to slide the divider between video and tab to automatically resize the video Awesome app overall with a technical caveat If you really want to take your playing to the next level this is a phenomenal resource              Powerful Learning Tool

App crashes constantly You have to sign in every time you launch Interface is a bit clunky and could be more intuitive Needs ability to automatically play next video Needs iPhone version too Stability is the biggest issue Fix that and its a winner           Needs work

Great idea but poor execution Some features dont work and the system crashes I understand you need to put it out there and work the bugs out but this seems to have been released way too early Once its working as imagined it will be a great app     Not there yet

Installed it on my device hoping it could be a good option to my regular laptop but it is crashing too much I dont think so I will use it unless it is fixed Not even worthy to have it for now     Good but its crashing

I Am using this for Cathy Finks Clawhammer banjo course and I love the course Unfortunately the app is buggy and crashes regularly I am running it on an iPad Mini and am using IOS 82 at the moment I should also mention that you need to sign on each time you open the app get through a screen advertising other available courses find the course in your library locate where you were and then play the material There is no facility to shortcut to where you left off last session These developers could learn from the Kindle interface Its a real PITA the way it works now I AM NOT INTERESTED IN YOU GUITAR COURSES           Great content lousy app

I love Truefire and have been a Truefire student for a few years now The app is much better Still crashes when downloading lessons sometimes Another thing is that when you delete a course the files are still on the device as the app is still taking up the same amount of space as before the deletion The course icon deletes but that is all Truefire is a wonderful thing Thanks for all you do              Much better

The interface is a little nonintuitive and there are waaaaaaay too many crashes Huge TrueFire fan so happy to see this but really waiting for an immediate update        Not quite there yet
