Trips - Travel Manager with TripIt & Flight Status

The new update puts the Trips App into a great working travel application As a frequent traveller I need my flight hotel events and car rental info in an easy to read format I also need to access the info easily The new update now makes that all possible Plus you can now dial out without having to manually write down telephone numbers No more fumbling around for a pen and paper to write down a telephone number for the hotel or car rental and then having to reenter the number to make the call That has finally been fixed I have a number of flights in different cities with different meetings events hotels and dining appointments The Trips app keeps all my itineraries within easy access For someone who does any sort of traveling whether it be a staycation somewhere in town away using airline transportation or a frequent business traveller appointments events dining this is a great app to have                 Excellent Travel App

I anxiously awaited this latest version hoping the developer would fix some of the problems I pointed out in a private email But alas none of my issues have been resolved There is no field for airline arrival time and no reporting of the length of the flight There is no way to enter airline reserved seat numbers or the cost of the ticket In fact the notes field is not present for air flights at all When entering a hotel or event far in the future you have to spin the datetime wheel to that date from today but then when entering the checkout date the default of the datetime wheel is still today instead of being the prior entered checkin date so the wheel needs to be spinned anew I was hoping that this app would provide the basic functionality of TravelTracker at a far lower price but that is not yet the case        Needs More Work

The mocha integration ruined this app for me especially on the iPad Ive deinstalled and wont use this app anymore     Worst travel app

I really liked this application Easy to use simple with all the info I need keeping track for my trips Just a couple of adjustments but this is still version 10 So probably will get even better with future updates I recomend it              Great

If I could give less than 1 star I would This used to be a good app not great but good With every update it has gotten worse It is now at the point where Ill just delete it Its sooooo buggyit give me flights that I have not chosen Why would I want see where a flight Im taking has come from or where its going after my leg of its journey Apple should pull this app from the AppStore before anyone else WASTES their money Now Im off to find a REAL flight app that works     Garbage

I purchased this after reading reviews and thought it was going to be good not perfect but good to organize my trips I cannot put in my home airport location or any others from Southeast Alaska They dont exist in this program and you cant add them I wanted a place where I could organize my trips I put in one trip except my airport since it wouldnt take it and wanted to enter another trip and it would not let me enter the second trip Paying 7 for a program that doesnt work is a WASTE of money I am VERY disappointed Maybe there will be a fix onedaybut until then I am disappointed        Not HAPPY in Alaska

Very easy to use interphase I havent really put it to test since I have no scheduled business trips coming up in the near future The big BUT that I have is that you have to input everything in manually As a business traveler time is gold and we need things to be ready on the go and fast I got the app with the hopes that in the future the developper improves its fetching method It would be GREAT if for your ittineraries all youd have to do is enter the confirmation numbers Reservation carrier etc the least amount of information possible to build your Trip I spent about 20 minutes inputing 4 flights I have for one trip in late december no car hotels meetings at least yet this is no good when all that was really needed was my confirmation number and with what airline That would have taken me 10 seconds vs 20 mins Again the app looks great and I am anxious to see it while its working and giving me flight updates and all but for 699 I was honestly expecting a little more comfort For that reason I will only give it 2 stars        Good Foundation for a better App

Trips comes close to storing all of my travel data but it is missing a key piece it doesnt allow you to store flight times This information is available in flight status but flight status isnt available for future flights I also expected that Trips would interact with my calendar to add flight times and meeting appointments but it doesnt Overall it is a good start but not a complete replacement for all my travel information              A great start some missing features

I purchased this due to its interface and ease of use I liked many things about the product however the constant inputting put me off and so when another similar app travel tracker added tripit i bought that although more expensive it is 1000 sleeker and more convenient and is well thought out There are things that i dont like about that app but the developer seems more willing to make real changes What i liked about this app was its email feature its UI and its accessing to airline data Unfortunately all other similar apps have advanced way beyond this app to the point that i no longer use this app and feel that this was a waste of time Until the developer is prepared to match and go beyond what the competition are offering My answer is DONT BUY     Could have been so much more

This application has good potential and the developer has made a nice start Besides the flaws that other reviews have noted another issue is that it is not well integrated into native iPhone capabilities For example the phone fields for hotels do not activate the phone one has to remember the number and then exit and dial Similarly addresses do not link to Maps and give directions Hopefully more improvements will be coming soon        Nice Start

Very handy for travelers keeps all your appointments confirmation nuumbers and connections in one place A few additions and tweaks would make it ideal 1 Allow the whole itinerary to be emailed 2 The flight status information doesnt come up right away maybe not until a few hours before the flight In the meantime the flights are unscheduled and hence out of order within the itinerary This is disconcerting 3 when adding new hotels there are blanks for noting the phone number and address but they are unworkable Im looking forward to 12           Useful but needs a few improvements

I love this app but frequently take the train like many on the east coast How about some help here              Hello Amtrak

I like the app and use it Critical thing I am missing is the finish time for flights This will show how long the layover will be between airports Another handy addition would be the ability to add boat or ferry rides              Finish Time

I really do like the interface of this application its very attractive and easy to use I had issues with the app last time I was waiting at the airport it seemed that the scroll wheel went around for ages and nothing happened However theres been an update since so fingers crossed One major thing I would love to see added to this app is the ability to email itineraries Otherwise I love it 4 stars for now well see how the reliability goes and the email function would be fantastic              Better

OK It grew on meI have to be honest and re do my first rather scathing review After a day typing in my asian vacation I grew to see this apps potential Be warned though this app crashes ALL the time I mean put in an entry then quit out to ensure it saves otherwisebye bye last entry This is is the first app for the iPhone where I found myself tapping the glass hard with gritted teeth its quirky Would it be that hard to put in a flight time not just dateI mean thats kind important And how about putting in major airlines first I got sick of digging through Uganda air and Ullawoolu air just to get to United What about an alarmping built inaka iCalmaybe also some more imoji Symbols to break up the event entry so you can instantly see what the event is egchurchtempleruinsbeachstuff you do on vacation symbols so you see what the event is Can you get the numberswebsites of the hotels etc to link I couldnt Like I said it grows on you Past the quirky data entry I look forward to rev 2 as long as I dont have to re enter all my info           Rewriting my first review

This app is not worth 1000 or even 99 the free TripIt app is far superior in terms of utility and stability If youre going to charge money especially 1000 for an iPhone app it damn well better work     Unstable application crashes when it tries to update with TripIt

Just loaded the latest version Nice look but needs some fixes Problems I encountered in the first 5 minutes Had to reenter my TripIt info entering train info the Train Number field presents the alpha keyboard when it should default to the number pad but presents the number pad for the seat field when it should allow both numbers and letters there trip info screen shows Arrival time twice instead of Departure and Arrival crashed        New version needs some work

This program reminds me of one that I had years ago on my Apple Newton I wish it worked as well as that one There are so many problems with this application Ill list just a few 1 After spending a lot of time entering information for long trips the information just disappears 2 If one makes an date error on a flight and goes back to fix it the program only fixes it withing Flights and not on the whole Trip creating huge date gap problems 3 Airline names and airport names are difficult to enter eg you cant just type UA for United but most type United to get UA 4 The whirlgig on entering dates is very erratic and hard to use giving bad dates quite often 5 Generally using the program is a waste of time until it is fixed     A good idea bad execution

Good app but be nicer if it has some sort of alarm or sound to indicate when your flight is delayed canceled ectsome of us dont look at our devices all the time so a sound reminding would be great i would give it 5 stars if this feature is addedbut over all it is a good app and very handy              Good app

This has the best interface of the travel apps I have seen by far Clean and easy to understand However there are some serious items missing mostly related to TripIt 1 Notes from flights are not downloaded They are from hotel and meetings but not flights WHY 2 There is no facility to edit TripIt items itineraries etc 3 No ability to add itinerary items for TripIt downloaded trips I realize that these are probably issues related to pushing the data back to TripIt and syncing everything My suggestion would be to at least make it one way for now Maybe allow us to convert a tripit download to a local trip so that once we on the trip we can edit things as needed A good start fix these and it will be at least a four star app        Needs work

A decent utinerary app I noticed that there are no times for my flight assuming that will show up when its able to track it that day Id love to have times listed in the itunes screen for flights tho Also would like google map links for things like the hotel etcc Very nice start tho Highly recommended Looking forward to a few updates tho for a 5 star rating              Finally

This app has a lot of potential but yo be a ver 33 it has way too many bugs It should still be in alpha testing It does not pull data correctly from Tripit and with out that it is useless for those who travel every week Hopefully the developer will take this seriously and actually fix the bugs Or refund 999 to those who bought it For that price and a ver 33 it should be working flawlessly For now I would not recommend anyone buying it Not even if it was free until it actually works with TripIt This has been my experience with the app for what its worth     Very Buggy Dont Buy Yet

I have had Trips for a couple years It was an average app Agree with prior reviewer that it has become buggier with each release After upgrading I tried to sync with Mocha and lost all my trips I deleted app off IPhone and IPad Using free Tripit now     Trips disappeared while syncing

This app used to work so well up to the point where you could sync all devices with Mochaco Nothing syncs at all Its impossible to report a problem directly to the developers as the submit button doesnt work Im looking for an alernatibe app This one has become too much trouble     What happened to this app

I like the app overall There are a couple of things that could be improved though First it is way to easy to swipe and delete all fo the information you just entered There really should be a delete confirm function Second I would like the times on the flights to fill in earlier I am really looking forward to some updates           Will be better with some updates

Functional and well made a great start for the complete travel tracking program It has all the features you need tracking flights hotels cars etc and room for enhancement I look forward to seeing auto population of flight data based on date and flight number auto population of data information based on previously entered data ie return flights pick up rental car after flight lands etc and the ability to share information with others via email Nicely done keep it coming              Great Start

i have used this app for a good while and I used to love it but I have the same problem as the user below THe App has started crashing every time it contacts their network I have reinstalled the App wiped the phone and reinstalled Everything It simply will not download new records     Love it but

Unfortunately I am deleting this application from my phone today as other apps integrate with my address book and I dont need to reenter all of the information in the phone     Overpriced for what you get

In my Palm days before the iPhone I had an application similar to Trips a good application but it cost 30 After getting the iPhone 3G I saw that the same Palm app for the iPhone was available but again for 30 I think thats just too much for an application Trips cost 6 and is migrating into a really good app The developer listens to our suggestions and is adding the good ones to his app Sure there are things that need to be added or changed but overall this is developing into a really good app and I believe its going to get even better              This is becoming a really good application

I bought this app yesterday to complement the excellent Flights app from the same company While this app is intuitive and attractive it lacks what for me are essential features thus limiting its utility Perhaps the most critical fault is that theres no calendar mirroring as there is with some other scheduling apps Thus whatever is entered into the schedules isnt reflected on the iPad or iPhone calendars Second theres no alert function and no way to create one in notifications Finally the app doesnt arrange entries by time for events scheduled on a given day Succinctly this is an app that does not yet live up to its potentialand in its current form isnt worth the money           Mediocre App that could be great

I purchased this app hoping it would be a great travel planner in conjunction with Mochaco Initially it seemed very nice great graphics and all but it isnt perfected Basically when I try to edit trip entries the app doesnt work I spent a fair amount of time entering several upcoming trips When I needed to go back and make changes to my trip itinerary the app doesnt work The screens wont open in various parts of the app For now 10 was wasted If this doesnt get corrected soon a request for a refund will be forthcoming     NOT PERFECTED YET

I love this app Being able to store my whole trip is fantastic I agree with most of the other reviewers that improvements need to be made Mostly with flight info and hyperlinks for hotels Everything else is seemless I love the look and feel if it Worth the money and if the update it right will be worth even more              Really good start
