I never write reviews but I definitely believe this app deserves the best review ever I love to learn new things the course I have taken with treehouse are worth every penny                 Amazing way to learn

Treehouse has some real potential but its not there yet The overall app design is clean and easily accessible I would like to see however the developers put some more attention into providing a highlevel overview of each course Currently individual courses are laid out in stages via a long horizontal list its difficult to quickly evaluate how many stages there are and what the topics in each stage are Further when viewing a track which contains several courses each with several stages there isnt any indication of how long the track is in terms of video lectures exercises or even number of lessons or tracks The content itself is really mixed In one track the initial introduction courses were really slow spending a lot of time on basic details fortunately these were easy to skim using the 2x video speed feature Suddenly however subsequent courses skipped past a lot of details and required constant pausing of the video to look up content copyandpasted into the lecture with inadequate discussion Fortunately Im a veteran software developer so this wasnt a showstopper but I found myself thinking if I was a beginner I would be completely lost right now Finally and most importantly there is a major bug in the software that makes it nearly unusable When switching out of the app and back to it the app has a difficult time resuming state This is particularly irritating when completing coding exercises that require looking up documentation eg for the syntax of a particular API call When you return you will need to drill back down to the course stage and exercise and then reenter any code you had previously typed it wont be saved unless you had the foresight to copy it to your clipboard           Clean design acceptable content buggy app

While trying to complete a problem the coding does not function properly Attempting the problem in Xcode am successful but can not get program to accept working solution in order to complete section and move forward     Problem in coding

There are a lot of online learning platforms out there but Treehouse is the best one of had the pleasure of using so far Their resources are neatly arranged into tracks so you can focus in on what you want to learn Each video is interspersed with quizzes and code challenges to reinforce what you are learning Best of all the videos quizzes and code challenges are fully available in the iPad app With the ability to be truly mobile with your learning who knows where you will go                 Hold on to your bits

This app is a nice way to access the videos on my iPad However the current version is kicking me out of the app after just a few seconds        Nice Appwhen it works

I was very excited to find this app at first but every time I opened the app it almost immediately closed At first glance this looks like a great app but whats an app if I cant use it        Good but not good enough

I use this app daily and it has definitely been a five star up until the most recent update After the most recent update sometimes videos will not load causing the entire app to freeze Unfortunately the problem persists even after quitting out of the app and relaunching it I am running it on an early 2014 iPad Air the video problem persists even after restarting my iPad To clarify most videos play fine but it is a bit of a pain in the neck when they freeze the entire app especially because I never had any issues with this app before the most recent update Anyways the Treehouse team is great and I have no doubt that they will fix this issue soon           Was a great app until the recent update

Really helps you learn one thing at a time Much of this information is overwhelming to a beginner Treehouses format helps you not only learn how but also how to think like a programmer                 Holds Your Hand

This app is a great alternative to the Computer based learning system that is treehouse I personally watch all my lessons on this app side by side my Mac which allows me to easily follow along I find myself doing all the code exams in via the web on the computer version rather than this app This is an app that only supports the subscription based service offered by treehouse                 Great addition to treehouse arsenal

My only gripe is the constant timeout of my login throughout the day I like to leave the office and work offline from the park with downloaded videos I frequently launch the app only to discover that I need to search out wifi to login before accessing my previously downloaded content              Powerful and robust app

Im happy that I can take my Treehouse learning on the go with this app but like others I wish that the app would remember my login and keep me logged in unless I explicitly logout There have been times I brought my iPad along to watch Treehouse video only to have forgotten my password and be unable to do anything That said Treehouse itself is an excellent resource for learning web and software development I have had a membership for almost two years now and have no intention of unsubscribing for the foreseeable future              Good app great service

Not sure of whats happening here but the app wont let me login It says my password is incorrect yet the same password allows me to log in via my browser I even tried changing my password This is so frustrating because some of the course really require you to have two screens if you want to be able to do the exercises while following along instead of constantly CTRLCMD Tabing on your computer if you dont have multiple monitors Please fix this The app is totally useless if I cant even use it     Cant log into the app

As a software engineer I think its really useful and efficient The instructors are very expert both in IT technology and teaching They simplify the concepts and teach them with the best method I have more than ten years experience in developing software but these days Im leaning iOS programming language in treehouse I ultimately suggest it to everyone likes learning programming                 Web developer

I really enjoy this app and the content that it brings However every time I exit the app it forces me to logineverytime without fail              Forced to login on every app launch

This app works great with the website I like to use it to watch videos while I follow along on my desktop This gives me more room to work Also doing challenges and taking quizzes works flawlessly when I dont have the convenience of a computer                 Great accompanying app

I typically like to use my iPad as my second screen when Im learning new software or new techniques This app gets the job done but is missing a couple of key features that ARE available on the site 1 There is no incremental jump back feature in the player This is crucial when learning new skills as there are some occasions when the instructor might be going though the steps too quickly The way it is now when something goes by I need to stop the player and then attempt to scroll back to the exact spot I missed That is a pain 2 No search feature for the library I was looking to pick up the initial skills to start using Sketch for the Mac but when I went to the Library there was no way to search its contents I finally found it after digging through a few different areas but it wasnt very convenient Treehouse is a seriously great resource but those missing app features make using it on my iPad more of a chore           Love Treehouse App needs work

Anything opened in the app closes within a couple of seconds including the videos tracks and the notification screen     This version has a lot of bugs

Continues to log me out too often Would like to see slower video playback speeds like a 75x option It can get a little sketchy bringing you back to where you were upon relaunching the app              Needs a few things

Overall this is a good app The content is fantastic The first flaw is being constantly logged out An option to stay logged in seems like an obvious feature it should have Second there is no way to practice the programming That may not be technically possible but it should be addressed by either adding it or explaining it cannot be done Edit there are some new problems The app is now frequently crashing when I try to return from another program It will start properly on the third try but will either return to the log I page or to the track menu There is also a problem with the video playback It often buffers at 1012 seconds regardless of connection speed The video will not resume on its own You have to pause and play for it to start working again I think TeamTreehouse is a great learning site Fixing these bugs would be nice but it is worth using regardless              Good overall app but 2 main flaws

This app is great but theres no way to view your history and you cant see courses youve already completed Which makes it very hard to go back and look at a previous course for reference           Great App BUT

This is a nice app I wish there was a way to delete all downloaded videos or see a list of all downloaded vids and select which youd like to delete though Its very time and labor intensive to go thru a course and tap on each vid then tap on the gear and then tap the delete and then tap out of the vid and select the next one Obviously           Nice course nav and layout

This is a very good app There are a few glitches and some occasional unresponsiveness But the real star is the content The apps visual design gets out of the way and has personality              convenient way to access Treehouses great learning content

This is App review not the Treehouse lessons which are great With this App you contradict to you own course of User Experience design and mobile design It is much harder to use this App then website App doesnt really integrate with website in progress feature so I have to find all the lessons again And there is no full screen view for videos Thats a stopper for me Switching back to website Get rid of all of these web views and I will give you 5 stars     Unfriendly design with ton of WebViews

This app is constantly losing connection in which case you have to force it to quit in order to reconnect It also seems to randomly log out of your account Im also seeing some segmentation faults occurring Finally iOS 9 introduced a new bug intermittently the quiz directions will disappear Please fix these issues for a higher rating but right now this app is frustrating to use        Treehouse is good but the app is buggy

You would think that with a minimum of 25 price tag you would get a functioning app but the reality is you dont Please fix this     Crashes every time I open it

The navigation to find where the videos I am looking for is while logical disorienting But the royal sin far too many apps are guilty of that this cohorts with is notification sounds namely the correct answer for quizzes stopping music Unless the app is currently outputting audio that is fundamental to its core function music should go uninterrupted Typing code examples in app is so unpleasant with the onscreen keyboard I often have my laptop open next to me to jump in whenever these come up This is no fault of treehouse but worth mentioning Overall the look is clean mostly clear and effectively delivers the insanely great content of treehouse I even think the full screen next video button should be brought to the browser experience              A content C delivery

I would recommend Swifty to learn Swift basics But this app contains tutorials and video lessons that can help you understand rudiments of iOS development in both ObjectiveC and Swift languages                 The best way to start development

Believe me Id like to give this app a great review because I like the site But I cant When I learn and practice coding I have to find a nice quite spot Sometimes its the the water front park near me theres no internet connection which lead me to download this but I cant download any of the videos and i find myself almost never using the app because of this because of this issue The concept is a great idea just please make it work and Ill rewrite the review        The site is great the is appmeh

First thing it did was ask for personal info and password     Couldnt even try it

The intent of Nick is that youre going to follow along with the video by writing your own code as he demonstrates in the video At least thats my working assumption One good thing about the app is that it can be used in conjunction with your lap top so you can double your screen space I really like this app and the teaching materials over all so please take the following as constructive criticism My biggest problem so far with Treehouse is that sometimes that he just goes too fast That is definitely a goldilocks type problem but it would be nice if future videos made it more explicit that you should be writing as code as he writes and include moments for pausing Then again maybe thats intentional that you should have to rewind and watch parts of the video over and over                 Following along with the videos

Throughout my use of The Treehouse program I have always been satisfied They teach programming in a way I think most people are capable of understanding Although I had programming experience prior to using Treehouse I have learned a phenomenal amount of information that I have been able to apply to my real life and which will no doubt help me as I prepare for a college major in Computer Science I highly recommend this program They are always adding new content and branching off into new programming languages and concepts and I continue to grow as a computer programmer I have tried other methods of learning programming but Treehouse does it the best                 Treehouse is a great way to learn technology
