Love this app but anytime I try to search it crashes Every time I hit the search field and its crashing Any help Thank you           Crashing all the time

This is a great app that has photos that are far superior to any guidebook The experience of following a line from a photo rather than a vague and often confusing description is a much more enjoyable way of interacting with a guide Hopefully future updates will include more areas like the Nears Peterskill etc It would also be nice to have a space to write some personal notes about each route                 Truly helpful

You might be thinking that this would be the most expensive app youve ever bought Good news its cheaper than any guidebooks for the area and much much better As someone fairly new to trad this makes me feel so much more comfortable while not over detailing and keeping it interesting                 Worth it

There is enough well presented information here to easily keep veteran Gunks climbers and visiting crag rats entertained for months on end High res photos offer concisely drawn route lines rappel and belay stations and approach trails Newly adjusted difficulty grades reduce the Gunks sand bag factor And yet this guide still leaves some room for adventure for a fine day rock climbing in the Shawnagunk Mountains of NYS A new standard for rock climbing guide books has been set that all future guidebooks will be measured by Stellar work The photos alone are worth the purchase price                 Trapps App takes you higher

A tremendous amount of work went into all aspects of this app and it shows The navigation is smooth and intuitive just read the instructions The recently taken aerial and base photos make route finding a breeze if you want that kind of beta This app makes finding the nearest bolted rap points and even the approach trails much easier There are plenty of pros and cons to digital vs hardcopy guidebooks but apps like this tilt the scale                 A new standard for digital guidebooks

This is an excellent app with very comprehensive and detailed information for 297 routes The high quality photos of each route including base and aerial views are particularly helpful Thank you for creating this indispensable guide to climbing in the Gunks                 Excellent app

This is THE best app for climbers in the New York area Eat to use and extremely helpful Route descriptions are short because photos tell you most of what you need to know Very thankful for this app and I look forward to more                 Best App on my phone

Really great guide book and if you ever climb at the gunks you should buy it One thing protection ratings only start at R There is no protection rating under R and this can be dangerous as the PG13 and R rating line is sometimes fuzzy leading you to think that a route is not so hard to protect I dont understand why there arent G PG and PG13 rating levels like in the major guidebooks              Great App

This app is great for anyone who climbs at the Gunks or is interested in the cliff no matter if your a 30 year local crusty trad master a neophyte making the transition from the gym or a proclimber swinging through town on your neverending road trip This app really give you a guided experience with from the land marks and access trails of the carriage road to the base of the cliff pictures with the lines drawn out Also the arial photos are high def which gives a good idea of what your in for and the rap stations are clearly marked so you know how to get down Functionally the app is intuitive and if you Instagram you can on crush this app Overall I would say this app is to use the lingo of the day rad Now spend your 15 bucks and go climb                 Most Excellent

I used to be a gunks regular and had the guidebook memorized but that was many years ago and after a long time away I now climb at the gunks maybe once or twice a year Needless to say I need help finding the climbs For this the traps app is fantastic Its a great addition to a guidebook in helping you get to the base of the climb Its also excellent locating fixed descent anchors that are now prevalent on the cliffs Although the route descriptions are lean apparently by design the highresolution zoomable photographs are great for figuring out where to go on a route and where to belay In my opinion this app is worth every penny In the future I hope the route descriptions get beefed up so there is no longer need to lug a guidebook I would like to point out one bug in the app If you bring up a complete list of all climbs at a particular grade by typing 59 in the search box for example once you look at a particular climb say MF then you cant return to the list of climbs at that grade You are forced to repeat the entire search It would be nice if you could jump in and out of the list by grade easily Overall though its a great app                 Extremely Useful

This is a great app if youre new to the Gunks and a pretty nice addition to the guidebook if youre a crusty old trad climber The App has most of the classics and some variations I havent seen elsewhere but misses other routes and ends at Slime Wall Navigating the app is easy and very functional The app uses detailed photos instead of wordy descriptions for how routes go Some grades and star recommendations are different from the Williams guide but those things are always subjective and change between guidebooks and have always been left up to the author                 Very nice
