This is the best app for kids i ve seen in the appstore It offers a collection of hundreds of books all of them with interactive elements beautiful graphics and different reading modes 8 languages are offered which is great for a bilingual family like mine I couldn t ask for more                     Best app for Children crihcnoc

I liked the original TouchyBooks with the search by age interest level better Also once I bought an iPad for my 5yr old my books disappeared And there s still a glitch somewhere with connecting both iPad bookshelves My daughter absolutely LOVES this app so I stopped wasting my money buying individual books and upgraded to GOLD which makes us both happy as she can download her heart out Although purchasing the subscription for half price sold me even more However after she downloads a book and waits an excruciating minute or two it might turn out to be a book more acceptable to a 3 yr old Then she has to go back to the store and press her luck with the next choice This goes on and on for about 10 minutes or so until she finds an appropriate book for her level Side note she reads at a second or third grade level but her interests are still that of a kindergartner She doesn t like the book if its too short and there s no such thing as a too long PlayTales book to her My favorite is hands down the Enchanted Forest book Unsure if that s the exact title Beautifully done Please bring back the search by age option Would have given it 5 stars                 Upgrade to GOLD leaves something to be desired Dabritts

PlayTales has some lovely ebooks for children with engaging effects that take full advantage of the touch environment as well as some foreign language options too However I have never been a big fan of apps that require in app purchases I d much rather spend more up front and get an entire library than have to pay out over time to download and read other stories It s just too much more work and I am always concerned about the children accidentally making in app purchases too             not a fan of in app purchases cwolfpack3
