Great GTD organizational tool It is hard to forget tasks that are entered here if I follow GTD guidelines                 Director Biomedical Engineering

Latest version tends to be a bit buggy when trying to acknowledge alerts They wont dismiss or cancel I end up having to close the app and reboot it However Im satisfied overall with the core functions of the app Fix the bug or two in this latest version and it will be back up to 5 out of 5              Latest ver 4 out 5 stars

If you are serious about task management then this App is for you Especially if you are a user of GTD then this App works miracles Its not for the faint at heart Customer service is great I had to convert from my Blackberry to an iPhone ToDoMatrix walked me thru the process Highly recommend                 From BB to iPhone

First to those who complained about them switching from BB to iPhone I was a BB user for many years and used To Do Matrix extensively When they came out with the iPhone version I contacted them about it Got the info on why the 20 bucks its Apples surcharge for them getting To Do on the iPhone has nothing to do with Rex Anyway Im now using the iPhone and To Do as my task manager I still love this app as it fits my needs Only thing is I wish the injection feature was included I also used Idea Matrix for notes etc since it is not available for iPhone yet I have switched to Evernote hoping Idea Matrix is available soon along with the injection feature Other than that I have no problems on the iPhone version Keep the updates coming Very satisfied user AJ              Great app

As a user of both Blackberry and iPhone I was excited to see the app that Ive used for years available for iPhone After downloading and paying for the pro version my excitement turned to disappointment There is no email injection RexConnect on BB and after years of their customers pleading they still have not fixed their web interface which looks like its stuck in the 90s and they charge 24 yr for Toodledo and Remember the Milk will continue to eat their lunch which is a shame as they have a superior product otherwise        Save Your Money

Heres what STOPS the app from 5 stars read section below this one for what MAKES it 5 stars 1 Price for FULL APP 20 for the FULL version is too much to pay considering apps with more capabilities for less than half as much right now Yes everyone knows this was originally for the BB and priced higher but this is iPhone territory youre in now SWIM OR SINK 2 Features missing from BB version Great features like INDY SEARCH and QRW quick review wizard are missing from the FULL version afaik Why on Earth would you short a fast capable platform 3 Features missing from an essential PIM app Location awareness iCloud syncing app comes with proprietary secure syncbackupread below iDevice interconnectivity to name a few 4 Price for Desktop version More money to pay for desktop access after paying the high price for Full or various price point versions CMON So this Desktop version of the software may be optional but costs to use is geared towards BB phones with an archaic outdated platform Ever heard of Toodledo FREE access to their web based desktop app 5 Lack of batch editing for multiple tasks You can move or copy multiple tasks but there is no batch editingtemplate function It would be great even utilizing the excellent BUMP feature for multiple tasks to change all tasks datesstatusesetc together please bring in an ability to batch edit multiple tasks as the groundwork is already there 6 A Calendar view Although this is a great PIM app it needs at least one Calendar view if not multiple options consider Gantt charts as well 7 No Landscape view So really What MAKES this a 5 star app 1 Excellent BUMP feature to instantaneously automatically delay selected tasks selected within seconds to a date of your choosing not seen in this unique fast method in ANY other PIM app afaik Additionally there is a bump feature to delay all tasks together which is a very useful feature that comes in handy if everything for the day has to be shifted by x amount of time but there is no way to select multiple tasks in a portion of your day and move them without doing each one individually You bump themall or bump one are the only option for bumping due datestimes This system is really smart so I hope Rex Wireless builds on it allowing bumping of selected tasks datesstatuses and other criteria In other words a batch editing function is really needed for a PIM that can handle limitless amounts of tasks with ease 2 Beautiful structrured app with highly visible and intuitive icons 3 Fast maneuvering throughout app liquid fast movement super slick 4 Various email templates offered when emailing tasks 5 Plenty of views based on contexts due dates priorities GTD Franklin Covey Projects Folders and userconfigurable dimensions This is a STRONG Feature that works better than contexts alone 6 Super strong quick filtering with complete andor rules that are easy and intuitive to set up 7 Great free AES secured SYNC BACKUP OPTIONS even though they could use some improvement as without a paid desktop app it is mostly a backup option So the conclusion is I will not buy the FULL version for now although it is definitely tempting it needs a few basic essentials before it is fully ready for prime time get with the program REX Wireless and YES DROP THE PRICE           What stops this app from 5 stars What makes this app 5 star

I stayed with blackberry for years because of this App Last year I switched to the iPhone and could not find any app as good as TodoMatrix One feature I like about TodoMatrix is when an alarm goes off it gives such a wide range of snooze times from minutes to weeks Also this version is better than the BlackBerry version for they have added nested folders When I set up this app it automatically loaded all my todos from their server One more app I would like on the iPhone is ideaMatrix I am using Rexwireless website to access old notes and an iPhone app would be helpfull                 Best todo app

I read David Allens book Getting Things Done and decided to implement his method on my iPhone I installed Todomatrix and Omnifocus on my iPhone I used both Heres a summary of my findings 1 Omnifocus is simpler easier and quicker to implement 2 The forecast feature of Omnifocus is convenient because it also shows your appointments in your calendar 3 The mapping feature of Omnifocus is helpful and not available on Todomatrix So why do I prefer Todomatrix Todomatrix has several features that help me make better decisions about what to do next when Im very busy and have a lot of things coming at me all at once The things that I prefer about Todomatrix are 1 Todomatrix enables you to set five levels of priorities Omnifocus uses flags so you basically have two levels of priorities with Omnifocus Natural drag and drop sorting which both have is fine for short lists but becomes a pain on long lists Five priority levels makes it easy to look at a long list of tasks and focus on the higher priority tasks first 2 The delegates feature of Todomatrix is invaluable because when Im talking to somebody I can quickly see everything I have to do for them or that they have to do for me This feature makes me look very organized to the people that I work with 3 The filters combined with the superior sorting features of Todomatrix enable me to look at all my tasks at once and quickly apply a filter so that I am looking at only actionable items that are sorted and relevant 4 The copy folder feature is a big plus when you have projects that follow a similar process For example real estate agents follow the same process every time they list a house With Todomatrix just copy the whole project folder rename it and go 5 The additional dimensions such as missions are helpful in keeping focused on the big picture They allow me to combine Franklin Coveys task management methodology with GTD to have the best of both systems There are other reasons why I prefer Todomatrix over Omnifocus but the bottom line is that I make better faster decisions on what to do next with Todomatrix                 Best app for GTD power users

Fell in love with it on Bberry paid for it without hesitation on iphone This is your brain in your pocket If you are a busy person with too many tasks to complete this app will get you organized clear your head Read their white paper for all you need to know about effective task management Then read Getting Things Done for more details                 My most used app

I really like to do matrix but it is a bit cumbersome and it is not quite smooth on the iPhone Needs to be able to sync with Outlook The icons are too busy and not simple enough that needs to change It really needs functionality where you can take an email and convert into a task I do like all of the various ways that you can manage a task in the program To Do Matrix Is an App I really want to love and use but it just isnt quite there yet I I hope that Rex Wireless will be able to make some improvements in the ToDoMatrix app so that I can use it fully and completely              So close yet so far

i got this app on a blackberry 4 years ago did not appreciate it a lot because of too many clicks and for me during that time this app is complicated for me but iphone version is different story i like the UI and its much simpler and im the alert type of guy its very accurate you will not loose what you input trust me guys in fact when i the first time i log in i used my old account and surprisingly my 4 years task is still on the data base so now im just using this and my omnifocus is just my back up                 2nd time around

I used ToDoMatrix on my Blackberry and paid a LOT It was worth it When I switched to iPhone I ended up using Toodledo but missed the power and flexibility of ToDoMatrix Paying 1999 for Professional is a nobrainer For me the big feature I love with ToDoMatrix Professional is nested folders up to ten levels For example I have a folder for work and folders for each kind of project and a folder for each project and all the todos for that project in that folder It makes thinking through and planning my projects much easier The other apps I have looked at dont support that deep nesting And the delegating ability I great as well There is a website upgrade coming which i am really looking forward to While ToDoMatrix works perfectly on its own with all the functionality in the phone app most of my tasks originate with emails from customers as I sit in the office I want to easily type things in on my work pc and have them sync to my phone I can add and edit tasks on the Rexdesktop site but it is slow and limited Please get the website upgraded              Hugely Powerful

I stayed wBlackberry too long just to stay with this program Im going to have to give up on this finally This kept the best checklists of any Ive tried Omniform Pocket informant Things Mylists It was the only thing I used anymore although previously it was my core planner Lately item then whole categories of my extensive list have bee disappearing Have been unable to communicate w Rexworks although theyve been responsive in the past This may be a moribund time Too bad           I rely on it but want it as good as on Blackberry

This companys core product was written to run on a Blackberry While sporting a nice interface the iPhone version lacks some of the features of the original BB product For example REX allowed you to take an email and easily add it to your REX ToDo list This program does not have this feature It also is poorly integrated with the companys web desktop software REX desktop a platform that is overdue for a major update The company has been promising a new Web version since 2009 One major shortcoming of this software is the fact that you can only sync REX with one IOS device If you have an iPhone and an iPad you are out of luck Another irritation is the fact that the software constantly asks you to reregister Originally REX was a leader in the ToDo task management category But REX has fallen behind such newer programs like OmniFocus I keep hoping it will make a comeback but i believe REX and its software has fallen on hard times with the demise of RIMM and Blackberry The future is in doubt given that so much of REXs business was dependent on Blackberry The company has been slow or make the transition           Is Rex dying

Used on bb years ago Bought it immediately when it became available for iOS However quite wasnt the same Kept on searching I have settled on omnifocus I still check todomatrix to see what the updates bring Would love to see this app develop more because it has the potential to be one of the best But not quite there yet           Not enough for me to leave Omnifocus

UPDATE ON REVIEW App still does not work on my phone and developer said I should get a refund from Apple Im still trying to figure out how to do this as the developer has not yet advised me how Dont get the app unless you want to have this kind of hassle and waste your money Initial Review After the last upgrade my app kept crashing I reported it but nothing was done about it and I also got no feedback from the developer That was not what I expected since its supposedly an app that has been working on BB for years I managed to restore from backup and avoided upgrading that app For some reason now over a month later the app automatically updated and now its useless again It is such a WASTE OF MONEY to have an app that stops working after a supposed upgrade and the developer does nothing about it PLEASE RESPOND TO ME AND FIX THE ERROR IF YOU WANT MORE PEOPLE TO USE THIS APP UPDATE ON REVIEW On my attempt again to get developers to sort out the problem Ive been having communication back and forth but now theyre insisting I must have a jailbroken phone because for some reason the app doesnt work on jailbroken phone My phone is NOT jailbroken and I dont believe the developers know why the app isnt working Therefore money spent on app is WASTED DO NOT BUY     APP DOES NOT WORK

No other organizer App seamlessly blends a ToDo list and a project manager into a program that is intuitive after a brief learning curve and a pleasure to use The companion Web app is lame but functional Think of it as merely a safe backup emergency restore location I was a 17 year Franklin Covey devotee and also a fan of the GTD system I Experimented with every new productivity app that came along searching for the Holy Grail of the perfect task and project manager App I was familiar with ToDo Matrix from my earlier days as a Blackberry user so when I came across the iPhone version of ToDo Matrix my search was over I dont even bother to browse the productivity section of the iTunes app store any more THIS IS THE ONE              The BEST and Ive tried them all

I always have so many projects going on simultaneously so its easy to lose track of an important task But with ToDoMatrix its much easier to stay on top of things Many projects have lots of parts that are due at different times This apps ability to view project tasks in a variety of logical ways It doesnt interface with outlook but I dont care My iPhone has my outlook and this Its not hard to toggle between 2 apps on the same phone At some point you need to create a task and assign the variables Who cares if its in the same software I kind of like having calendar and tasks separate Got a 2 hour window on your calendar Search tasks by duration Its a good app The only thing I dont like is the help It doesnt seem to be searchable by topic but then I am new to this app              Promotions Specialist

I have used ToDoMatrix on BlackBerry for a while I switched to Things when I bought Touch planning to move to iPhone later After a while I used Things I noticed that ToDoMatrix is ported to iPhone This app is THE most featurerich task management tool It supports folder context roles and anything you can imagine On BlackBerry it supports 3 alerts On iPhone it supports 6 with professional version You can implement very simple GTD to very complicated GTDTFTwhatever with this app The current iPhone implementation is copy of BlackBerry version Interface is different to match with touching functionality of iPhone but functionality is basically same The most impressive thing is this version access same data that I stored using BlackBerry Synching between iPhoneBlackBerryserver is also working I hope this app evolves to utilize hardware features such as GPS They can implement locationbased context as like 2Do This app is highly recommended This is the best of the best No question                 Extreme at featurerich

I purchased this back with my BlackBerry And had great success Later I migrated to apple And at Sometime stopped using it Recently I started back up in the version had changed Customer Service did a great job getting back all my data Great follow through Nice to see the app is being so well supported                 Great customer service

ToDo Matrix is by far the best designed to do app out there with an amazing number of features that can handle the most complicated organizational needs I researched them all and only TDM did everything I needed At first their iPhone version lagged behind their blackberry version but now the iPhone version is even better than the blackberry version ever was They also have amazing customer service always responding to me in less than 24 hours even on Thanksgiving Day                 Best todo app

I completely agree with MZKs review This is a three star app that is begging to be a 10 star app This app is so usable so intuitive Quick easy entry tons of options for viewing categorizing etc It fits the way I think I want to put everything into this app to run my daytoday and long term goals Id even be happy with the hefty app price tag if this fit into my everyday life I love this app But the web version is severly limited not as easy to use and very expensive compared to other appwebdesktop offerings ie paid version of Evernote I have a lot of good data in this app in my phone but without a compelling price and feature wise desktop or web offering I just dont use it           Absolutely love this app but it doesnt fit into every day life

I dont like the fact that I have to set my phone AND that for no reason I was prompted to enter my iTunes password somethings fishy to start with Ill keep playing with it and update my review if applicable        First impressions count

Started using this program on my blackberry given my Lotus Notes task was simply inadequate Switched to iPhone platform last year Very highly recommended especially if you are juggling several projectsworkstreams personally and professionally I have used this program for the last 2 years and cannot imagine working without it on a day to day basis now                 Highly recommended

Discovered this wonderful app while using a Blackberry Tour My work flow has evolved to an efficient machine thanks to David Allen and ToDo Matrix I have held off on the iPhones 1 through 3 because I wouldnt do with out ToDo Matrix I nearly fell off my chair when I saw that ToDo Matrix had been ported for the iPhone So now I have an iPhone 4 and TDM was the first app I purchased I couldnt be happier Its lightyears beyond any other todo app out there and is actually easier to use on the iPhone in every regard compared to the Blackberry Every thought and need is easily entered categorized and recalled What more could you ask forwell ok how about geolocation reminders and use of photos and custom audio It is well worth the price tag Im looking forward to the next upgrade Many thanks to the authors                 Would Not Have Bought an iPhone

Bought this a while back thinking it was what I used for years on BB Unfortunately the inability to sync across multiple iOS devices is unacceptable Even all the free apps can do that The lack of injection from email or SMS is disappointing since there are apps that can do that Location based reminders is another missing feature that would make this app great Im going back to ToodleDo syncapps until this gets better Too bad because it has potential to be the best To Do app out there           Was great on BB but lots of work to do on iOS

While the iPhone version doesnt do as much as the blackberry version I am very pleased with this product When theyre able to match the Blackberry platform Ill happily rate 5 stars The only other thing Im having problems with is that it seems to lock up on me often since the latest upgrade ToDoMatrix when properly used will help keep you on task I know there are a number of things Ive been able to accomplish that I would normally have set aside              Great tool

Does better than any other To Do app Navigate quickly from each project folder Search within a particular folder or search through the entire folder structure of the app Great shortcuts for quickly changing status due date and for navigating to the folder where the task originated from Well implemented snooze function for alerts Lots of audio sound to choose from when being alerted lots of information can be determined without having to select the task and opening it up ability to customize folder icons jump to project folder option after completing a next action related task lots of flexibility and customization provided by this app What needs to be implemented to achieve 5 stars quick task entry in select mode the app currently allows for moving duplicating deleting or emailing single or multiple tasks Helpful functions to add would be changing multiple tasks due date and context improvedupgraded web app to complement the phone version Current available web version is outdated The only worthwhile uses for it are the search for task function and the ability to use a full size keyboard for entering in lengthy notes Their website forum hints to it being release sooner than later I hope this is the case configure the time a task is due with something other than scrolling the hour and minutes up and down To be fair all Iphone apps seem to do it this way Probably a limitation of of the IPhone OS              Best Overall To do list App

To the person who asked Is Rex dying Well yep they did die way back somewhere on the road many months ago now I too started with this product on the BlackBerry and moved over to the iPhone back at the 3G version I was so happy when I saw ToDoMatrix come out for the iPhone Too bad though that the company chose to test the waters with iOS but never really take the plunge We are on a 5th generation iPad now and where are the Rex apps There are a few a very few I imagine who actually use task and project management software on their smartphone that dont also use if on their iPad or other tablet I guess I can appreciate that there are still a lot of developers out there putting out iOS stuff that havent or dont intend to also make it available on the Mac and even with some of those really good products I have started moving to alternatives but its hard to believe that any company in todays market would even consider keeping any app Smartphone only without also making a tablet version So yes Rex is dead and with them a really good app that had a lot of potential to own its share of the market     Dead for sure

Building on what MZK DEVXM said this would clearly be a 5 Star app however for me lack of interconnectivity with iPad is a killer I used this app for over a year on the BlackBerry where it had no equal in efficiency speed simple interface Great strides were made to make the iPhone version as useful When you begin to populate this app with multiple projects and numerous tasks then the weekly review and data entry on the small iPhone screen gets to be less efficient The desktop app is too clunky to be of any real use as it is actually slower to use for weekly reviews and task entry than the iPhone This is serious because if you spend too much time in the critical weekly review you may stop doing the reviews and then the app degrades to a simple daily todo list and you stop trusting it to keep you up to date Coming originally from the Franklin Planner Im a proponent of a single calendar merged with a single task management system however this no longer translates to a single device I found that the iPad fulfills my need for a more effective display and occasionally using the external keyboard is very effective at data entry Yes I have a work laptop but the ease and quickness of the iPad without distracting the PC apps is a notable advantage for me ToDoMatrix is a single device centric systemthey do not allow multiple devices to synch and contain the same data You can choose either the iPhone which is always with me or the iPad which now is often with me but not both Other ToDo apps like OmniFocus which I now use do not have this restriction I would prefer coming back to ToDoMatrixs interface but am unwilling to give up the more efficient data entry and flexibility of device synchronization           Could be the best ToDo app

Besides email this app is the most valued business part of my iPhone Was using it for years with bb just recently for iPhone The iPhone version looks nicer but I do miss the injection feature Overall best Ive found so far                 Medical sales
