Todo+Cal+Sync

I was very happy to gain the ability to easily use and sync my iPhone with the Oracle Corporate Time Server at work However I carelessly synced everything including contacts which I dont even know how to use on Corporate Time Later when I synced my contacts with Address Book on my Mac I discovered that I had lost half of my stored phone numbers It was a major effort to restore them I still dont really understand what happened but the problem can be avoided by turning off the syncing of contacts with this App Beware              Back up your contacts

This single app saves me more time than any other The previous inability to sync the iCal client with my universitys Oracle calendar was driving me nuts This interface aolved all that If it just talked to iCal or MobileMe it would be perfect                 The most important app on my iPhone

Awesome idea Makes organizing very easy A calendar and todo list together no need to switch apps Everything Im looking for but needs work No recurring events Needs option to see to dos on calendar and to see calendar events on first page Needs subtags for calendar I would like to be able to see notes on the task or event instead of having to go into the edit menu Again very great start Hoping to see some updates Ive tried several todo apps and this can be all I need Great app              Lots of potential Need work

I tried quite a number of others before trying this one now I use it every day Its todo with calendar function really makes it a great app and the ability to subgroup is a nice bonus                 Excellent

Ill give it 5 stars on the assurance that recurring events will soon be added as promised Thats the only shortfall I see in an otherwise great app                 Fantastic Calendar

Cant even do anually repeating birthdays or the first of every month or the first friday of every month        No repeating events

Although the idea appears to be great ToDo requires the user to have calendar information on very specific types of servers If not the user is then forced to go through multiple steps including purchasing yet more apps signing up for additional online services and setting up a multiphase effort to sync even the calendar For me the point of apps like ToDo is to make my life simpler not buy into a test of my intelligence and patience Worse still if the problem were simply in the setup I guess that Id bear with it since the app looks so neat But even if you are able to get it to work once which I did the thought of doing all those steps on a regular basis just to make sure that my calendar was up to date was far more of a commitment than I was prepared to make Of course Ive already purchased ToDo It would have been helpful if a free version had been available as with so many of the other apps My only hope now is that the developers will understand that a great engineering idea must be matched with ease of use that the challenge is to make the app transparent to the user and that its time to go beyond the engineering if they ever hope to sell the app to more than a few tech pioneers Perhaps in Version 20     FAR too complicated even for techsavvy users

I dont know about this applicaton it good it not good but it is kind of a keeper           HHHHMMMM I dont know

I have used this program since a few months after release Seemed good but then After the last update it started to switch my appointments to one hour earlier across the board Dont know if this has something to do with DST but it is dangerous in a profession where being on time is critical This has been reported to manufacturer Please fix           Dangerous Bug

Great idea and good app I like the fact that you can sync between iPhones without a server Color coding multiple tags for todos and integration with the calendar is great Major problem is the fact that it crashes all the time often 34 tries to input cal entry           1

Apples refusal to allow other calendars to sync with the iPhone calendar application is a real disservice to loyal iPhone users Thank you Synthesis for developing this option which will have to do for now Who knows you may update and improve this application so that by the time Apple corrects its mistake many of us may not even care Thank you Lukas Zeller for this application and your responses to my questions Please keep adding to the calendar documentation                 Grateful

Great concept and I love one stop shop for tasks and calendar Request calendar alarm one step add task input not another step to add title recurring task ability show tasks with due date on calendar viewmaybe just number of tasks for each day in the weekly or monthly view and the actual tasks on the daily view and easy swipe task delete with confirmation These additionsSix Star Application           Almost there

I normally use free apps or apps for a dollar or so But I run my business from my own eGroupware server and my iPhone does more for me than my old laptop used to So a syncml based solution is essential Not only does this app sync my calendar events todos contacts categories and groups to perfection but the interface is a vast improvement over the builtin iPhone calendar app Once I realized I needed to enable syncml privileges for my eGroupware account and append the username with default synchronization occurred without a hitch I also modified the calendar Date Range Limit settings to sync all my calendar events and not just the most recent few months Kudos to the developers this app will boost my productivity 200 Bravo folks              Best money spent on an app yet

This app is almost perfect considering that Apple does not allow 3rd party cal access In my opinion this app needs 2 things Ability to turn off views that one does not need fe I dont use ToDos and I dont need that view and an addition of Weekly view configurable to view with or without Weekends If these 2 things would be added Id change my review to 6 stars                 Almost perfect

My employer uses Oracle Cal and Ive been waiting for overtheair sync capability using SyncML and without having to go through another conduit to sync my cal While there are some quirks with the UI that I plan to post on the developers forum the basic sync functionality has worked consistently for me in the week that Ive been using it              Finally a SyncML calendar sync option

I give this 5 stars not becaue it is perfect but because it genuinely adds something sorely missing from the ipod touch iphone There are only 2 integrate off line calendar addon apps that I know of this and Smart Time TodoCal gives an excellent day and month and list view with colors that make it so much easier to see you tasks to categorize them and prioritise them The todo app has subtasks but there are better But for the calendar there is no challenger Still needs recurring tasks and events Sometimes it crashes when I attempt to delete an event But a great start and you just feel confident that the developers will keep on improving it Now they need to fulfill that promise But if you want or need a sensible calendar then this is it                 The first killer calender app Soon

This seems like potentially the ultimate in tasktodoand project management ASowhere does one go to get help in setting up syncing B Biggest draw back for someone who uses these all day is too many clicks to get to places Would like to click and immediately be set at a general entry box When wanting to edit eliminate the edit buttonhave the page just ready to edit like ToDo C Finally Id really love to be able to email just the note portion of an entryas they end up being ideassuggestions for clients Any chance of that Thanks Tim              Wow

I have been using TodoCalSync TCS for two months In my opinion this is the best calendar application around Here are the reasons why 1 Fantastic sync 2 Ability to color code tasks and appointments 3 Ability to email a set of tasks 4 Search of appointments and tasks option added in the latest release At this point I rate TCS higher than Pocket Informant which is also a very good calendar application and definitely higher than Apple Calendar The sync uses an open code protocol which is supported by Outlook via a third party application Winfonie yes it costs more money but it is worth it It is also supported by Oracle but as far as I know not by Google Calendar I consider the ability to email a chosen set of tasks an essential backup feature which I could not find in any other calendar TCS has only one calendar but the color coding allows multi calendar functionality Altogether this is a great application                 Best Calendar for Iphone

this is one of the best calendars Ive found for my iPod but thats setting the bar low my handspring visor Ive had since 2003 came with a similar calendar for free this app might rival that one if only todos could be linked with the calendar and srsly after paying 15 I really shouldnt even have to ask obviously many other people have asked for it           plz update

Slow response on the touch screen while doing the configuration was aggravating but the app works I am able to sync my calendar tasks and contacts with our Oracle server           TodoCalSync worked for me

So after writing back and forth with the developer I have to raise my opinion a bit and say that the support has been responsive I think the instructions and the FAQ could stand a LOT of improvement and there needs to be a LOT of clarification about how to syncyou have to join GooSync and use their path and after you finally go through all of that it only shows 30 days or 7days from sync date unless you sign up and pay for the Premium service As for programs that sync with Google Calendar Im still sold on Saisuki Cheaper easier to set up syncing and clear concise instructions You just cant go wrong with that program This one is very expensive complicated and not as good as Saisuki        Hmmm

Only reason I use this was bc work IT people put on my phone Ive had for over a year and was soso at best BUT this latest update now only allows you to see 1 week at a time instead of the month view Totally stinks UPDATEI am now UPGRADING this review to 4 stars bc their response to complaints is extremely fast and with good results I was WRONG about my early post and the view options You can view in day week and MONTH option It was me who couldnt figure out how but their support people emailed me the solution win 2 hours of my email complaint Bottom lineit works as described and syncs with oracle     Was okay now STINKS

Perfect idea poor execution Calandar crashes frequently that is coming from a very tolerant user And when your adding a note to an appointment the note doesnt save I like the concept of being able to tag calanders and to dos but the frequent crashes make this a difficult app to keep Oh well Back to the drawing board           Wanted to rate it higher

I have been looking for a calendarplanner app since I got my iphone and this is seriously the best It still needs some improvement such as recurring events and reminders for todos But great                 Great calendar app

Used the app for 6 months Had to in order to have my work calendar and tasks with me while out of the office It was not uncommon to have to remove the app and reinstall every 3 days It is a great idea but unstable The app for not sync your iCloud calendar with your work calendar        Crashesfarmers agent

Just like the title I like this app for syncing my oracle cal to my ipod touch I have had no problems 2way syncing that way My only wish is that it could also sync with Google Calendar Please make this happen              Good for syncing Oracle Calendars Great if it could sync Google cal

This application is good overall but I would really like to have the reoccuring calendar event feature It would also be great to be able to see the noncompleted ToDo list in the Calendar view           Good application

I have used this on my iPod touch and now on my iPhone probably 3 yrs altogether I love that it works with my company calendar oracle I love that it gives alerts and the variety of views that I can use It was an easy install and I got 4 other iPhone users at my job to purchase it too youre welcome Now all I need is an iPad version Pretty please                 Love it

Been waiting for an app that would sync to Oracle Calendar at work Took me about half an hour to configure but it is working like a charm now Hope updates to events will be forthcoming Despite its steep price tag I am very happy with the app it is extremely useful              2009

Theyve put a lot of effort in helping you with the complicated not their fault process and after a week and exhausting my Google resources it works BUT I cannot find a user manual for using it so its been trial and error and Google again The interface is really cluttered and icons have no descriptions and some dont seem to do anything but perhaps theyre contextual and Im just not in the right context but I dont know what context to be in because there is no description of how to use them or what they mean It would lovely if they had a user manual available Even if it were just a link from within the app All told I would not recommend this app and I would not use it except that its the only one Ive found that works with my organizations horribly outdated Oracle calendar system If you can save your 15 for something better     Horrid interface Complicated Setup and Use

No doubt there are some great ideas in this app and some of them are nicely implemented for example subtasking however the app is not ready for prime time not yet What Id like to see more pleasant GUI larger buttons custom font sizes etc less taps to accomplish simple data inputs integrated todo and calendar view when a todo has a start or due date resolve occasional crashes while syncML is OK most people never heard of it add a more popular solution like direct Google Cal sync and some of the more popular services such as Toodledo or RTM There are lots of positives in this app but looking at the combination of relatively high price and features offered this app needs lots of work to justify the expense On the other hand this could be a todoCal combo killer app once properly implemented        Lots of work ahead

In general I love this application Its by far the best organizer for the IpodIphone out there I do wish it would show tasks from my todo list on my calendar page based on due dates Ive assigned or at least had a view that put the calendar and todo list side by side It also has some kinks with placing starting and ending times to events in the calendar Occasionally when Im trying to change the start and end time on an event the application will switch the opposite time So for instance if Im adjusting the start time it will automatically change the end time but when I go to fix the end time it will then change the start time I just set The application will also shut down spontaneously and has a tendency to delete events when I sync it with other calendars The last one is a pretty serious issue that the creators of the application really need to work out But Im still pretty happy overall because the application has so many features with so much flexibility I havent been able to find anything like it elsewhere              Good but has some bugs

Another update and again no significant inprovements to the todo portion But Ive found another task pro Now it just comes down to who fixed their bugs for task pro its one bug first              Needs improvements

At first I was quite happy with the program However Ive encountered a lot of problems trying to sync this program with my Oracle university calendar I constantly get the 503 error message What makes me a little sad about the error message is that I have reached out to the company to get some guidance but they do not respond to my Emails inquiries        Problems syncing calendar

Does not work with iCloud Must have iCloud off for it to work A waste of money     No good

When I am syncing calendar and I move from wifi to 3G it causes networking error This error makes it so I can no longer sync but need to uninstall the entire program and start over otherwise I get an error on all future syncs In addition date limit range unsupported Please fix these bugs     Wifi to 3G error

Ive been using this application since version 10 Other than my iPhones builtin mail app this application is the singlemost used app I have I was reluctant at first to buy the app because of the price but Ive never regretted my decision once I did With this application I stay on top of all my todos for work home and play I keep up to date on what tasks Ive assigned my employees by using subtasks one toplevel task for each employee and all their todos as subtasks I even can email the employee their task list every week with just a couple clicks Ive found the developers to be highly responsive to my suggestions and they have incorporated a number of my suggestions into version 16 Quite simply its my favorite app                 the most featurerich todo app ever

I thought this would alow you to sync calendar but there is no path choice foe events I also have not be abale to get it to work yet but I am checking to see if the problem is from our end d        no path for calendar

I looked at almost every calendar app available and purchased some before I found this one The ability to colorcode group appointments is particularly valuable Having a great todo list on the same app makes this app practically perfect If Apple would allow audible alarms                 A Calendar That Does It All

Updated 2909 Just downloaded 16 and you can now enter recurring appointmentsevents This application works beautifully Only app other than Smart Time that I was able to find that could handle my todos AND appointments and scheduled eventsholidays in one place with a very friendly and intuitive UI Problem with Smart Time is that you have to page through one day at a time to see whats on your agenda You cant view any week or month at a glance Impossible for planning TodoCalSync allows you to LeftRight swipe from a ToDo List screen broken down in order of prioritydate due Monthly view daily view and a summary calendar view where you can see everything upcoming at a glance All scheduled events can be colorcoded and easily customized with whatever tags work for you Break each tag down even further such as family into kids me spouse View all items on your calendar or choose only the categories that you want to view by simply touching that category at the bottom of the screen No problems at all syncing with scheduleworldcom Another great feature email complete todo lists not just one at a time              Worth Every Penny
