I got this app a while ago to make a fictional timeline for a detailed scenario However I wanted to make another timeline completely with only the installed advents in it I didn t want to reset to defaults because I didn t want to erase the other timeline I don t know if there is a way to have multiple timelines and I m just too dumb to figure it out but either way could we have an easy way to have more then one timeline Then this app would be perfect                 Amazing but Cheese ball203

I don t quite get the folks who say this isn t detailed enough missing facts Any timeline would be unwieldy if you tried to represent all of Wikipedia in it This does an outstanding job of allowing you to see the grand movements and themes of history from high and low levels and I mean ALL of history AND prehistory from the Big Bang to the last election Surprised me anyone had the vision to put all this in here covering all subjects Been using this on iPad and iPhone for a year now Always go into it for perspective on the world and it s prompted a lot of my reading on various topics too UPDATE Now had it more than a year still use it frequently one of my cherished apps Nothing and no one else lets you look at history like this does An expandable timeline only really possible by leveraging the iPad and iPhone s interface Thank you whoever made this                     Truly unique big pic view of history MoEzekiel

This is one of the best apps out there I am having my school load it on all the students iPads as it has uses in every subject I teach science and my husband is passionate about history and we both love this app as it does a perfect job of appealing to both our specialities This is the type of app I want kids to get lost in for hours I know that I as an adult am hooked One request to the developers can you either colour code events or make them searchable just by subject like just showing science for example Also from a history perspective any plans to add in British kings and Chinese dynasties                     Absolutely brilliant Annonymous'

The one aggravating feature is the incessant and persistent tutorial routine every single time I open it Unless and until I press the arrows they will not go away That s why I use it very little In fact I ve deleted it I MEAN REALLY THE TUTORIAL EVERY EVERY SINGLE YOU OPEN IT I m sick of it                 Almost perfect ENRomero

I highly recommend this app Nothing else quite like it in the App Store I ve written to the developers asking for Twitter integration and they said its not possible with the current version but with enough user desirability number of requests for a feature they d look into it So when you download the app PLEASE rate the app favorably and add this request Wouldn t it be great to sync tweets from Congress or the President And friends and family With this improvement we can have a visual depiction of people s thoughts as they relate to historic events I d go further to suggest adding this functionality in a way that would allow users to choose synching ALL tweets or just selected tweets as well as delete selected tweets and adding tweets from users we do not follow Please join me in demanding Twitter integration Thank you D                     Please add Twitter Timeline DanielDiNicola

As both a researcher and educator I sorely need an interactive and programmable timeline and despite a few usability concerns timeline eon appears to be up to the task However the content of this timeline is embarrassingly partial I would strongly recommend the developer to create a scientific advisory committee made of scholars from different continents and cultural spheres who would make the necessary amendments to this otherwise promising application         Excellent initiative but questionable content Salahidin

This is the puniest timeline I have ever seen With its ever present genuflection to the Ottoman empire it is also quite politically correct The claims to its breadth in the arts and architecture are ludicrous the same goes for music It lacks enough depth in the synchronic dimension to actually be a timeline you might as well type a search into your web browser You will get better results It is a true reflection of what today passes as general education Shallow and tendencious     Professor Oberhirn

I really like this app Some suggestions to make it even better 1 During period creation the end date should have an option that constantly updates to the current date if the period is ongoing and the end date is unknown 2 The ability to change the background crumpled paper gets old 3 Integration with presentation apps I love the flowing seamless interface it would be amazing if I had to use this as a blank timeline template forming part of a larger presentation                 Wonderful and has further potential CLS44

This is an awesome app One of the best that I have used I have been looking for such a tool for many years even to the point I was going to create timelines on canvass rolls Now with this tool I can expand and zoom to specific events The RSS feed is great for new events This is one of those tools that a user group will soon follow to share timelines and events with others I sure hope so I am also a Project Manager and will be looking to use this for my smaller projects After 5 min of playing with the free version I was sold and purchased the full version so I could start adding my events in history                     Awesome really CMcKinley

Updated review raising rating 3 stars because of the loss of data during recent upgrades due to poor documentation and defined process from the developer After going to the last resort deleting and re installing the app and after playing a bit with the fresh install it seems that reliability has been mostly regained The upgrade process should read 1 Prior to upgrading Export to keep a copy of your events 2 Delete old version 3 Install 1 1 0 4 Restore events use keep my events 5 If your events and categories are still there you re all good if not use the import function to get them back Note in this version after complete re install restoring to factory events seems to work Only bug is that although it keeps categories created it doesn t keep the color scheme I can live with that Prior reviews Further playing with v 1 1 On IOS5 The applications is pretty much useless on my iPad 1 at this point Constant crashes Too bad the QA process seems lacking here The concept and potential of this application is tremendous However in it s current state Unusable 1 star is generous Update on upgrades Updated to 1 1 0 same process keep my events This time deleted all previously created timelines and events Upgraded to IOS5 upgraded Eons made sure to click on Keep my Events kept half and lost half lost all added timelines and added categories Thanks just lost hours of work             Tumultuous experiences but great potential Francobel

Great app I really enjoy it Although there are some issues when the app starts up it does not sense orientation properly so it stays stuck in portrait mode when you are in landscape mode I have had a few crashes usually when working with pictures or when two timelines overlap on the same level I have added some pictures and then had them disappear I get an error when exporting It would be nice if you could also attach a picture to a period not just an event The ability to store a timeline playback into a movie file would be nice                 Love it pixshifter
