Im in CA and I get thunderstorms it is fake and it doesnt work so dont wast your time downloading it

App is basic but works well Hope for an update before rainy season starts here in Texas In my opinion the interface is quite bland Description should be moved to top or bottom away from button see a lightning should be rephrased see a lightning boltstrikeetc and a period couldnt hurt Pull button colors from native iPhone apps to give it a more seamless integrated look You could also add some lightning safety tips to give some meat to the app I dont know what people expect this app to do stop a storm but some reviews arenot helpful Try the app for yourself and give a useful rating based on what the app is designed for Has potential

This app would be really great if it used the light sensor that controls auto LCD back light dimming and the camera on an iPhone to detect the lightning As well as use the microphone to listen and detect the thunder This would be great for setting up a lightning auto detection logging ability that would log the time location and estimated distance It could also pull weather data off the net to determine the local temperature to increase accuracy You could also use the compass of the 3GS to auto or manually input the heading of the lightning Then you could actually plot the estimated location of the lightning on a map in the app Things it needs to be a great app

Somehow with that review I get the feeling he thought that you run the app theres lightning and the app just does the figuring for you because it senses the lightning lolololol
Dude this works fine and as I type this its free I hope you dont run accross an app for your toilet Lives could get out of hand The goober poster is confused
The tool is designed to provide a measurement regarding the distance of thunderstorms It does this function well and nothing more I think it downloaded without any additional expectations it is a great application Simple and useful
