This is a great converter but Id love to see a geospatial category to convert coordinates between DMS DD etc and possibly even between coordinate systems UTM stateplane geographic           Missing geospatial category

This application used to be my favorite and most used app It was so easy to convert measurements and I loved that you could get uptodate currency information which came in very handy this summer in Brazil Unfortunately the newest update rendered it completely useless It is stuck on length and distance and I cant get any information to show up to do any different conversions from the last one I did before the update This app is now a piece of junk that doesnt even begin to do what it advertises I have just deleted and am in search of a new replacement     So sad to say goodbye

I have been beta testing iOS7 for a few months and because of that this app broke for me So I was VERY happy to see this update today because I have been lost without this app I am an American that lives overseas and I think I used this app at least 5 times a day No other converter has worked for me                 Absolutely love this app

was a great app until the lastest update 036 now it crashes for me 3G everytime I open it deleted it to make space on device     its a shame

Just would be nice to see the basic conversions that you find on a school chart to be there Ill add specifics if you need it but its too common to not see every one on the app                 The original and best

Evryone I know the app didnt work with them after the upgrade but when it was working it was a great app Do not install wait for the upgrade dont waste your money     Good if it works

The app and its function itself is great but Im gonna have to take off a star for an annoying little quirk that honestly shouldnt even exist When im studying I usually like to have my headphones on and play either music or an ambience app Well whenever I go ahead and open this app it always turns off the music and ambience apps All for the sake of playing a little zap sound while opening Come on you should know better than to do that Please stop the converter from turning off my music and I will gladly reimburse that missing star Also the UI could use a little polish but I wont dock you for that Thanks              Annoying quirk

Awesome application Living in a foreign country this app helps me convert unit I am not familiar with into ones I understand This app also helps me in a wide variety of other cases when obscure measurements come into play Only thing is I wish there were updates and especially an iPad version Frequency to time domain would also be nice                 Cant live without it

After a while the unit selection disappears rendering the app useless     Stopped Working

The app itself is fantastic and its held a spot on my home screen for years Im not thrilled about the GUI change from an update or so back and Im really confused about the new icon The old one was simple and easy on the eyes              Mixed Feelings

SHORT REVIEW I have not found a better conversion app than The Converter by Vladimir Kofman Get it be happy LONG REVIEW Yes very long But please read if you are skeptical about how good this is I was initially very reluctant to spend a buck on yet another conversion app After all I just tested and reviewed 25 others recently many of them excellent and only 2 or 3 of which I paid for But The Converter was quite appealing and some of the reviews made it sound so good So I bought it And Im very glad I did Here is why MY PROS 100 accurate results in every category and unittounit combination that I tested Features all of the most popular categories and units found in most other conversion apps Features a couple dozen other categories and units found in only some other conversion apps Features still more categories NOT found in other conversions apps many of which deal with Heat Electricity and Magnetism great if you need those Features a Permeability category I dont think Ive seen elsewhere Features a Fractions and Percent category very handy and amusing 1 quintet167 trios If you are overwhelmed by all the categories and units use one of two handy aids search with the magnfying glass or use the index tabs on the right User interface is very attractive quite pleasing User interface is very easy to use it seems to be designed with useability as a priority Only one quick tap to swap units ie from mileskilometers to kilometersmiles You have a onebutton option to see only the current conversion or to see the current unit converted to all the other units in the category in a scrollable list one button toggles the view instantly You have a onebutton option to toggle between results shown in Fixed or Scientific Notation You can easily enter numbers in Scientific Notation Features a Memory and Memory Recall feature very useful for adding numbers and then getting the entire sum converted Allows you to see only the categories and units that you want while keeping the hidden ones handy also Hint Before creating your Favorites categories and units watch the video on the developers website its very helpful Allows you to rearrange the category list and the unit list within each category Allows you to add more units to any of the supplied categories Remembers the most recent units that you converted in each category RARE feature it has a precision slider below the result to set the number of places after the decimal helps with significant digits Bonus Turn your device sideways for an onscreen ruler Need help There is a great video on the developers website View it It seems the developer updates The Converter from time to time so you can look forward to improvements and fixes ifwhen needed and he provides an email address too I have had zero crashes or freezes so perhaps a reboot or fresh reinstall would fix the issues that youll see other reviewers mention Attractive meaningful icon Cost only 099 for this wonderful app MY CONS Cant really say that this app has any faults although some people may wish for the addition of some nichespecialty categories you can add more units to any category but I dont know if you can add categories MY SUGGESTIONS Allow the user the ability to add additional niche categories not just units Add the following 7 categories each of which can be found in at least 2 other conversion apps Angular Velocity Angular Acceleration Base Converter Numeral Systems Blood Sugar Frequency Typography and Timecode aka Frames SUMMARY If youve read this far thank you I know Ive presented a lot of information but I strongly feel that The Converter is well worth my 1 and the time I took to test and review it Out of all the conversion apps that Ive tested this is the first that I recommend entirely without qualification Thanks and congratulations to Vladimir Kofman for an amazing conversion app Live long and prosper                 The best conversion app Ive found

Intuitive and easytouse with an interface that makes good use of the iPads screen The clothing equivalence tables may come in handy and are certainly uncommon among these apps                 Works nicely

doesnt always work It gets stuck on measurements and doesnt show anything in the list when i need it i need it i dont have time to go in and out and back in again hoping it will work           It doesnt always work

I have followed this app since it was first available on JB devices It is awesome It has an easy to use interface My wife uses it all the time when cooking Im not sure what problems the last two people are having because I have a 3GS and Original 2G iPhone and the app works on both perfectly Whats funny is I have used this app to verify my own calculations in my app named Baseball Speed Thank you for creating this app and bein the first one to create a converter app years ago                 Awesome and Easy

I used to use this app all the time Not any more though it is slow to start up and after some time all the units disappear in unit selection list This means that you can no longer change the units you want to work with How useful is that I cant believe the author hasnt already fixed the problem it has been there for quite awhile All I can conclude is that he doesnt care about the app anymore Youll be wasting your money if you buy this app     Messed up big time

Great Program but the latest upgrade does not work I can not get it to stay loaded on the phone I can select it in itunes but during sync it deletes it     Used to work but doesnt now

Old installer GUI was much better I was so glad to see this show up in the App store It was one of the only Apps that made it worth unlocking my old iphone and touch But the new GUI is a big disappointment over the more simplistic one from the old version Please bring it back     Great App it just needs the old GUI

App features pop up video ads that you are forced to watch for a period of time Deleted and one star     Taking inapp ads to a new level the wrong way

Mine calculates meter feet wrongly 1 meter is shown as 00005 feet              Meter to feet wrong

Where did the varas go They worked great in prior versions but cant find them now           Miss the Length Varas

Worked good for awhile and after an upgrade started getting buggie performance when trying to change from one type of conversion to another for example Length changing to weight I sometimes get blank menus and have to turn off phone and reboot to get menus back        Ok but buggie

I used it all the time now it Socks I open it and it stays on Measurements and I cant get it to do any thing at all     Was Great Now its Shat

I have been using this app for over 15 years now Its easy and intuitive The options to have advanced mode with scientific notation helps me out a ton I work in the nuclear industry so the comprehensive radiological units are a must have This program has helped me numerous times in the field Keep up the good work                 I like it
