The new The Congressional Record app version 1.5 has been updated on 2014-11-26. It s easier to go on congress gov and access the congressional record from there First the app is not optimized for iPhone 5 layout Second the record itself was actually blurry For some reason retina display support is nonexistent Overall 2 stars is generous for this barely functional app         Works but not usable JesseG17

I like the layout Being Able read what goes on in Congress on a daily basis is really helpful But whenever I try to search for a specific bill to read the exact wording the search box accepts the first letter and the app quits upon the second letter entry Total frustration     Nice to read who says what to whom But forget trying to search for the text of a specific bill wolfhouse21

This app works well for me so far and I haven t had any problems It loads quickly and displays the scanned copy of the Congressional Record well I m looking forward to seeing it updated for the iPhone 5 s screen I also think it would fit in better as a Newsstand app I think I would read it more regularly if it were just downloaded there every morning with my newspapers Other than that I really like it and I m glad the LOC decided to go digital with this                 Great start kittycat262728

When the app is used with the voiceover screen reader the buttons an interface elements read fine but the text does not read it all It s as though it does not exist This makes the app perfectly useless for a blind person as they cannot read the Congressional record I am sad to see that the Library of Congress the home of the National Library Service for the Blind and Physically Handicapped is producing an inaccessible app Blind citizens have just as much of a right to know what their Congress is doing and I fear that you have failed them I hope you fix this soon     Inaccessible app atraveler
