This app is neither free or worth your time Unless you subscribe at 29 it is useless unless you really want to read the one free paper that is 14 days old Epitome of a cah grab     Misleading money grab

After the iOS7 update this app crashes every time you flip the pageplease fix ASAP     Fix this App

This app will not work in IOS7 You cant get past page one If youre going to charge me for it youd better make it work Im about to cancel my subscription     Fix it Dispatch

Wish it had settings to automatically download new issues ratehr than assuming you have wifi access at all times or have to manually download new issues           Offline User

App not working since I installed iOS 7 Paper will load but app shuts down when attempting to flip pages No issues prior to this time Reinstalling app didnt work Would have rated it a 4 prior to this issue The monthly cost is equivalent to subscribing to print edition I only get the print edition on Sunday for coupons etc     Beware 70

We ordered the paper and then the next day it was not updated There was an issue We were told it might be updated by the end of the day Just what I want a morning paper at least 12 hours late We will cancel if this occurs again tomorrow     No paper

I am very impressed with the interface Very easy to use and a enjoyable reading experience              A great way to read the paper

I love this app and have used it for 12 years but it now closes out of the app every time you change pages with the new iOS 7 Please fix this NOW so I can read the newspaper again              FIX THE CRASHING ISSUE

I downloaded paper to read for holiday but I could not access that paper now It needs better navigation And access to downloaded paper until I want     Lack of navigation

First of all lets be honest that reviewing this app is a bit meaningless If you want to read the Dispatch electronically this is essentially your only option early in the morning since they load articles on their website throughout the day Why I think it is ok First of all it does normally work They seem to load the paper around 4am which is early enough for the vast majority of readers And despite problems in the past very rarely is it not loaded anymore It does crash a bit more than other apps but Im usually able to open it right away afterwards A slight inconvenience but not damning However it is a bit annoying to move around in articles as the app doesnt always recognize the Continued on XXX icons Finally an easy fix for the app creators Many of us read the paper before work in the morning so we need to be mindful of the time However this app is the only one Ive noticed that doesnt display the iPads clock at the top of the screen Please update to add this back so we dont lose track of time and be late to the gym           Crashes too much jumpy

With this new version it is very difficult to read individual articles because the font size is small The option to enlarge the font size does not work I will reinstall the old version until this issue is fixed     Get Your Glasses

What happened to the clock at the top of each page I liked the previous version better for navigating through open articles     Clock

As others have said the app no longer works under iOS7 It was not a great app before but now it is worthless     Useless in iOS7

Misleading in that it shows as a free app Costs 29 per month to join Not worth itat least the iPhone app is free     Way too much

Of course the Dispatch hasnt updated its app to work with iOS 7 It will load but shuts down as soon as you try to flip a page or jump sections They must have been working on writing another puff piece for OSU instead of getting their app which they charge a considerable amount of money to use to work properly Not surprised     Dont download ios7 if using this app

Instead of continuing to evolve toward a news reading experience taylored to a tablet device this Dispatch app reverses course by attempting to reproduce a physical newspaper in pixels Terrible Please look at the TIMES OF LONDON THE ECONOMIST and THE NEW YORK TIMES apps for examples of how this can be done well The only reason I suffer with this app is that The Dispatch a great paper by the way is the only game in town     Great paper lousy app

Others were correct about access issues Apple has no problem charging for the subscription Too bad The Dispatch cant seem to recognizesync with iTunes Dispatch customer service only suggestion is to reinstall the ap which did nothing Dispatch also claims they have no record of paymenteven after I forwarded receipt from iTunes     Account access

I am totally disgusted with the Columbus Dispatch Even though they are going out of business at an alarming rate they now want to screw their loyal customers that have been with them for decades by extorting another charge for iPad use Nice job     This app is horrible

Fix your login I have to reinstall the app every time it want to get the log in screen and read the paper Please fix           Login

It is what it is Im just glad that they finally opened up the digital version to any subscriber ie subscribe to Sunday only paper get access to the digital version With them being the only mainstream paper in Cbus would be nice to see them be able to get the app more in line with the NY Times one           Decent app

The app is totally unusable with iOS 7 It crashes if you try to turn the page I wonder if the Columbus Dispatch app support department read anything in the paper about a new Apple iOS and bothered to check compatibility with their iPad app     Wonder if they knew iOS 7 was coming

I thought as a print Subscriber I would at least get some access to the digital format From what I read in the reviews Im not the only one thats disappointed with this looks like the Dispatch ha s a long way to go     Disappointed

I have a sunday delivery subscription and then the online subscription which always gave access to the Dispatch on the app and it was great until now and now that I updated to ios7 the app crashes every time I try to flip a page of the newspaper Please update           update to ios7

This is nothing more than a lousy PDF reader of the paper Many daily papers dont show up the app wont allow one to login in until later in the day and older papers cannot be deleted without deleting the app Time for Columbus to get a paper for a generation younger than the baby boomers     Pure Embarrassment

This quite possibly the most frustrating most poorly designed and worst managed app ever written It is so bad that only the Dispatch online edition ranks worse in my book Oh and their home delivery service Guess that makes it third Lord make Columbus a two paper town again please     Sheesh does this s

Apparently you can now read online without downloading and you have the option to download the paper if youre going out of Wifi coverage or dont have broadband coverage This fixes the crash problem when turning pages on the iPad running iOS 7 Still has an occasional problem where it gets stuck on page you cant enlarge an article or get out of that mode Looks like the way to get unstuck is to switch pages then switch back So its better on iOS 7 which makes this a lot better Makes it better to read the paper but it still has a couple of issues           Latest version fixes page turning crash

Love the new format especially on the iPad If you are a subscriber this is a great app Did people expect free digitalis versions on the daily paper Nice work Only 4 stars because load time could be faster              Better

Recently checked my iPad storage and discovered that the Dispatch used over 900 mb of storage and that there was no method to delete or archive unwanted editions I doubt that there is rabid desire to keep an issue for up to fourteen days The customer service rep reported that there were no plans to address this waste of space on my iPad but my suggestion to allow the customer to delete unwanted editions would be passed on to a supervisor This app takes a big bite of storage space for outdated issues What are they using for brains     Cant manage number of issues archived

After the iOS7 upgrade this is now unusable Crashes the app the first time you flip a page For the price they charge just for a digital download version Im going to have to cancel ASAP     Hope they refund the days of unusable newspapers

Subscribed cant access anything logging in tells me I have not subscibed Just doesnt work Save your time effort and money     Doesnt Work

When the app is working and its been better lately the new format looks good My biggest gripe is that unless the old version was broken I used to be able to get the electronic version for free on days I had paid home delivery No more it seems Now in addition to what you already pay you have a up charge for getting the iPad version When you cant get the dead tree version to my house on a reliable basis how can you expect me to pay even more Sorry overall IMHO its just not worth it anymore The Paper is a shadow of what it once was and still they keep asking for more and more Ive reached my limit and will no longer be a customer once this subscription is done     To much for not enough

I cant doubleclick and view an entire article I get a long error description Ive deleted and reinstalled the app Doesnt help Also still occasionally wont let me zoom in on an article This is the iPad version           Needs an error fix

I was apprehensive about subscribing using this app based on other reviews but its fantastic and Ive had no trouble at all with it I especially like that I can download an issue to read offline since I dont always have wifi available Theres a reader mode for articles or you can zoom in to scan the pages quickly The photos are crisp and bright Its such a treat to be able to read the Dispatch wherever I am and to not have stacks of unread papers accumulating in the living room LOL                 No problems at all
