It s as bad as you think it might be a couple of wheels with a few dozen words phrases on them I thought they might at least be hierarchical in that changing the top one might alter the possibilities of the words below but no Just three wheels with words on them Someone could have written the entire contents of this app out on a napkin at the bar one lonely evening over a few drinks     Can t believe I spent 2 on this jcowley

I love this I ve been goofing around with it and the surprising combinations are really fun to think about Some have made me laugh with delight some brought serious thoughts and memories to mind others suggested quirky funny ideas I ll be relying on this when November rolls around and National Novel Writing Month comes back to the top of the calendar                     really fun and very useful Blue Pine

The basic wheel works great exactly what I expected and paid for But the free creature wheel won t download open on my phone at all which is frustrating to say the least Also I wish I had known that the world building and character wheels are 1 extra a piece before I bought this learned my lesson always check what they mean by in app purchases I m going to wait to see if I can get the creature wheel working before I blow more money on this         Great app sort of ProfessionalBearWrestler

Firstly let me say that I LOVE this app I had it on my old ITouch and used it often That ITouch disappeared and I found a replacement I bought this app again but it crashes before it even starts I ve deleted and downloaded again with the same results Help please I will gladly give 5 stars if I can get it to work         Crashes Sky Diva 42631

I really like the interface on this app and the fact that I can create custom brainstorming sets based on existing ones or from scratch Very well thought out My only complaint is this If i want to randomly create 20 characters with the Character Builder in order to save each one I have to either Tweet post on Facebook or email every combination I would very much prefer to add the randomized combos to a list that I can email all at once or even just add to the paste buffer As it is I have to use this in combination with a computer or a pen and paper to collect a set of character or other type prompts I m certainly not going to bombard my twitter followers with the output of this app twenty times in a row Please consider making it possible to accumulate a list of brainstormed combinations                 Fun writing character world prompts RobertDG

The app is a really good creative tool to connect randomly ideas and concepts The in app purchase extra wheels are nice but not needed if you can create your own And creating your own wheels is the crowning jewel and the Achilles heel of this app The problem is that you can t export your custom wheels That means if you have to erase or change device you are out of luck You will loose your work It would be nice to share wheels with other users and since the app only offers two additional for sale this is really discouraging for power users I d be willing to pay for a pro edition that allows users to do this Another flaw is the only way to add a list to the wheels is by typing each and every single item row by row It would be nice to be able to import text files as well to be able to edit copy and paste multiple items at the same time As it is is very frustrating that you can t easily correct the order of items on the lists         Good but it could be better musiclvr58

I love the app and use it with my students in drawing class However I suggest running a spellchecker on the word lists to correct the spelling errors Maybe it s just me but I feel they detract from the overall professional look and feel of the app                 One small point aiming high

I love this app well OK i love the concept of this app the execution is very close but needs some interface improvements I really really want to rate this 5 stars and will definitely up my rating when a few interface issues are addressed 1 PLEASE let this app be rotated to use in either portrait or landscape mode 2 When creating custom lists it would be so easy if we could copy paste a list into the generator instead of having to type each into a separate field 3 If the above can not happen for some reason please just let the above happen then you need to adjust the type window so that 1 You can always see the line you are typing in above the keyboard and 2 Pressing enter on the type pad will bring you to the next box to put in another entry instead of the done button which brings you back to the whole list Those fixes would make this app infinitely more user friendly And it would surely be worth 5 stars and even more than you are currently charging for it Please make these updates as I very much love the app             Some constructive feedback KellyWetz

I got this app for my daughter because she needed an art app but I thought it was pretty expensive for the utilities the sketching highlighters etc if they lowered the price I would be willing to buy it Other than that the app is wonderful 3             3 FriedDumplings

It still needs a few things before can really consider it 5 star One it needs the ability to move wheels so you could mix different wheel sections together I would rather see them deal with individual wheel subjects and let you select which ones to put together at any time Second I would like it to backup to iCloud so I don t loose my custom lists in a crash and also can sync my lists between devises                 Almost 5 stars kylekane

I just bought this app and was extremely annoyed to find that so many of the generators are sold separately contrary to how they appear in the screenshot Also I ve not been able to find a way to turn off the sound effects I ve even set my master iPad volume to zero and somehow I m still hearing the sound of the dice The gear icon is a bit misleading as it doesn t bring you to app settings where I expected to change this but to the additional generators Otherwise the main generator is attractive and does what it says but I really wish I hadn t paid 1 99 for just that Perhaps it s just me but I expect the possibility of in app purchases in a free app not one that I ve already paid for I m surprised the other all 5 star reviews if not shills haven t mentioned this         Interesting pricing model PATRICIA SEARL

Surprisingly useful It makes ideas for stories by putting ideas together and while some simply cannot be taken seriously unless you re writing a comedy many of these are fantastic and is is very interesting many of these would make good stories If you are a writer or filmmaker who needs ideas just take a risk and get it You never know what you ll find which will spark a creative fire                     Impressive A GUY 111388831

I enjoy the idea behind this especially that you can make your own customized wheels but I found it a little hard to get things going Creating a wheel seemed to take a while to take you had to go to another wheel then come back before your customized list would actually appear on the wheel Also the buttons get confusing a cleaner design would have been preferable I found myself constantly ending up on pages I didn t want to be at And a real app pet peeve of mine I hate the click sound or any unnecessary noise that you couldn t turn down every time you spin a wheel or roll the dice even when you pressed your iPad volume all the way down Though eventually I found you could turn off lock in Apple settings There was no sound off button in the Brainstormer settings which was for a while really annoying But if that doesn t bug you it s a fun thing and then ability to make your own wheels makes it worth it A really great idea that works well now and could really be great with a few tweaks Fun stuff                 Cool if a little wonky Shark Beast

Now that this has been fixed with this recent update so that it can be used on an iPad without holding the iPad upside down I like it and like it a lot I will probably be using it with my own custom wheels more than with the provided wheels For instance I have a custom wheel with characters settings and situations a nice combination for creating scenes scene segments or even just stimulus response units And if you have a series or project with a specific cast of characters and specific settings and props and gimmicks those specific things can be put in your custom wheel For character creation I will probably be using three prompts of some sort probably traits to come up with characterizing anecdotes as a way of developing personalities for characters Another nice thing is since you can create custom wheels this app can be used for any activity or project where a random combination of three items is needed For instance it could be used in songwriting It could be used in party games This is a great tool for the application of Flipism in one s life Thank you Mr Developer for fixing this and making it useable                     Very Nice Mark in Missouri

I m seriously blown away by this app I downloaded it last night and I already have a number of spec scripts written up based off what the app generated It s incredible how simple and effective it is Not to mention addictive Some of the combination s that came up were hilarious leaving me rolling on the floor at their comedic potential Buy it Now                     A Must Have for the Creative Mind P-tosh

This would be an amazing app if you could import lists But as it is you have to manually enter lists into the app which is more time consuming than it s worth Until they offer list importing or maybe some sort of list generator this app will remain useless         Almost amazing HC85

This is such a great idea and a fun app to use but it s still a little rough around the edges Some of the categories are misspelled for example The program allows you to customize the categories to suit your own purposes which is wonderful but it s not as easy as It should be to set your own customized Brainstormer list as the default mode In other words I like this app but with a little more work it ll be awesome a real resource for writers and artists                 Brilliant Concept Execution a Bit Rough 1stedition

Like someone else said I don t generally rate most apps but this one exactly what I was looking for I ve spent more on other apps that were much less useful some of them nearly useless esp the one that is listed with different names and the author can t spell I love this one                     GREAT app Skydawn4
