Please update for Apple iOS 8                 Cancels out on opening

Installed the app Worked great to read 5 or 6 articles After that failed to load properly and just got stuck on a gray screen Every time I tried to open the app again it just went to the same gray screen Will see if I have better luck later     Load problems

Loads slow freezes often and lacks much of the content of the Blade The Blade is a quality paper this app lacks quality     Needs Work

The new version does not work on the iPod touch The Blade screen shows up for an instant then a blank screen Now the old version does not work either     Doesnt work

it is nice to have the paper there when I want to take the time to catch up on the news but I dont like the constant notifications that I get and I dont want to turn them off on my phone would be nice if I could customize the type of notifications I get I am not a sports fan           its ok

App was working prior to the latest update Now app for iPad starts but immediately crashes after the splash screen is displayed     App Crashes

This app has been steadily getting better but the most recent update today sep 18 was a step back Previously I was using the apps with few to no problems on the latest iPad3 After the update today things seem to work for the first article but every time I try to read a second article the screen goes white If I try to go to home screen and come back to the app I get an error that reads startSession has been called already It should only be called once followed by the same white screen The only way to read properly is to completely quit the app and restart between each article Also when I tried to go to App support it took me to a nonexistent web page otherwise I would have tried to report this directly to the developer I hold out hope that this recent set back will be quickly remedied as I have generally enjoyed using this app        Latest update crashes

I like this app because it let you know her and events in each of the suburban areas of Toledo This app also let you know Maj things going on the city of Ohio and Michigan And instant alerts the let you know about crime in traffic and other good news in the area                 Great appeven better alerts

Dont like this new version Dont want to see the same stories Ive previously read all combined with todays news Incorporating each days news into its own tab would be a better way        Like the previous version better

15 days after update and still is not fixed Why bother to have an app if it does not work Really bad PR     Problems

The Blade is very to the point and informative I have enjoyed it for years                 Informative

Its ok but one thing that bothers me is alerts rarely open the actual article and I get a message stating app closed unexpectedly Perhaps alerts are not connected to an article because often when searching I cant find any article related to the alert 13ABC recently changed the format of their app I think the format is much better than the blades But its still an ok app           Ok but

This latest updates fixes all the issues I had on my iPhone A welcome improvement and pretty easy to navigate I wish there was a back button or symbol because it is unclear what to do when finished reading an article You have to click on a strange icon at the top left of the screen              Much better for iPhone

Well this version seems to b no better than the prev I had the old version got its update which did nothing but provide a link to get this whole new app which I thought might work it doesnt My advice get the AP app add the blade as your local paper Then u can get blades own articles along w everything else they import     Hasnt opened yet

This app constantly takes me to a blank page after selecting a news item to read The only solution is to delete the app and reinstall I hope the Blade did not pay for this     Frustrating

Im disappointed that its taken soooo long to update I expected better from an organization like The Blade     So Slow to Update to iOS 8

The new version that came out around the beginning of September 205 is a total disaster The articles are arranged in an incomprehensible jigsaw puzzle on the screen and they jump around and get rearranged as you scroll You end up chasing the articles around the screen Its kind of like a game to see if you can catch your article Beyond that the nav bar on the left doesnt appear when you tap the nav icon in the upper left You have to scroll down to get to the nav bar And then you cant even scroll all the way to the last item This is apparently the first foray into mobile content design ever attempted by the company who created this mess I would suggest going back to the previous version which was at least coherent     New version is a disaster

Id be ok with the poor layout of this app if there where real news stories in it 90 of the stories are about sports Dont we have anything better to report on Todays front page has 9 sports stories and 3 other stories And nothing about an assassinated sheriff in Texas Good job guys It is all over national news but it means nothing in Toledo        Junk stories

I have had this since the day it came out and it never fails to disappoint me I have installed all of the updatesuninstalled it and reinstalled it but it is just garbage The blade would do better by not having this app than to put out something so terrible The app developer should be embarrassed Look at the wsj or usatoday app to see how one should work     Terrible

Very much improved Photos and videos look great on 4s Event calendar is a great feature                 Love It

Recently within last week or so revamped app and turned what was a clean well organized news app into a jumbled mess Its a shame because it was a very good app        Big step backwards
