It weighs in at only 10MB to download. It is highly advisable to have the latest app version installed so that you don`t miss out on the fresh new features and improvements. The current app version 1.2 has been released on 2014-11-19. The Apple Store includes a very useful feature that will check if your device and iOS version are both compatible with the app. Most iPhone and iPad are compatible. When it isn t needed The app when opened recommends that you upgrade to a newer version which I like better So the newer version should have been rated four or five stars This version is rated 1 for outdated     Please remove this older version of Betty Crocker Enna689

I m super annoyed that this version completely replaced my older version Everything I had previously saved is lost I can t get into my old version and apparently I need to set up a whole new account because I can t access my old one And I don t like that I have to click to another screen to view how to make the recipe I look at the ingredients then the process before deciding if I want to make it There are too many steps in the new ap         Replaced old ap T.Dish2

Your cookbook is okay It s not as good as Kraft s app which I love You have much room for improvement You need to step your cookbook game up with a grilling category if you want to compete with Kraft It may not be your niche but you need to get into that category         BBQ mrmjdixon

From reading other reviews it seems that this app has never been updated or improved in any substantial way My complaints are the same as those reported over the last several years No ability to go back to the browsing page where you started poor recipes all from boxes or cans none of the classic Betty Crocker recipes not able to access my online account and no ability to add more recipes This really needs to be brought into the 21st century         Needs Improvement Shopcat63

I just downloaded this app and have flicking through it for a few days now I was very disappointed by the current state of Betty Crocker My original cook books was one of the original BC cook books where it really asked for canned or packaged ingredients This app is the lazy cooking style where it is not even cooking but just use canned items No more making things from a scratch it seems         Recipes Penny Yen

Loved this book when I downloaded it Used it all the time Had it on my iPod and then my iPad Description was accurate and told me I had downloaded the entire cookbook and could use it anytime Either someone lied or changed their minds I was never told that my ownership of the book was temporary Suddenly after about a year I tried to look up a recipe and was told I now had to be online to do anything Great app to crap in 1 2 seconds Would not recommend this or any other BC app again     Crock doesn t deserve this star squeakie63

Had the BC cookbook on my iTouch which I loved Needed no internet access Got a notice there was an update available so I loaded it It wiped out my BC iTouch cookbook and installed a completely new Mobile program that requires internet access to use it at all So I deleted the new Mobile program and tried to re install the old program compatible with my iTouch And it won t load at all So goodbye Betty Crocker and hello Better Homes and Gardens BHG loads quite a few recipes which reside on my iTouch and you can buy addtional chapters for 99 cents so I bought a Grilling chapter It s also capable of adding your own notes Doesn t require internet access Too bad Betty Crocker improved it completely out of my ballpark     Betty Crocker screwed it up parker_me

Every cookie recipe I chose was not from scratch and seemed like an advertisement to buy a Betty Crocker or pillsbury pre made mix or cookie that you just add to Lame     Walking advertisement Interstellar1024

This app is not the same nor anywhere near as good as the Betty Crocker Mobile iPhone app They wrote this app specifically for the iPad but that was a big mistake This app isn t traditional recipes and many call for a boxed Betty Crocker mix that isn t readily available When you want a Snickerdoodle cookie for example you want the real recipe which is on the iPhone not some recipe that requires a box that you don t have on hand Don t even bother with this app I suggest using the iPhone app on the iPad I have removed this app from my iPad         Not the same as the iPhone App CaptainRandy

When browsing once I get to a recipe I can t get back to the list I was browsing through The inherent nature of browsing requires being able to pop in based on the draw of the title and picture and back out to continue exploring other options There are plenty of other free robust easy to navigate recipe apps It s unlikely that I ll use this one again         Back functionality missing rgrazzini

I thought I would get all of the classic Betty Crocker recipe s with this app Pretty much all of the baking recipe s require a box mix I never have them on hand and usually want to bake things from scratch so that I don t need to run to the store         Not what I expected missleslie36

I love the Betty Crocker website and use their recipes a lot so this app is perfect It s easy to use beautifully designed and connects my iPad to a wonderful recipe resource I have one suggestion however It would be great if the app would sync with my Betty Crocker Recipe Box so that my favorite recipes would be accessible on the app and on the website That would make this already great app PERFECT                 Wonderful app PamDunn

I have definitely enjoyed this app more than I expected I would I ve already used two of the recipes I found at random One is cooking as I type this and the other turned out fantastic I was so pleased The app had worked fairly well for me so far I ve only encountered a few glitches due to slow Internet access from what I can tell I really appreciate the favorites feature as well as the surprise me feature Overall this is an app I ll use with regularity and enjoy finding new recipes in a regular basis                 Good app with great recipes RaeEst24

Tap in the search box and the whole screen vanishes It leaves you with the tiniest of text entry boxes And then when you tap search the keyboard remains on the screen blocking a whole bunch of the recipes it should disappear Off line the only photos are blurred snapshots That s true even for favorites It should download the photos of the found recipes or at least the favorites and save them for offline viewing It has a marvelous cook mode with large text and well organized steps for cooking screen by screen It also has a back button for getting back to the recipe s main page BUT THEN YOU ARE STUCK You cannot get back to the recipe list Nothing works and there are no back buttons this time Sliding doesn t work If you press search again you end back at the opening screen and your terms and found recipes have been cleared That means you have to recreate your search from start Good news is that the app is free with good recipes so it is definitely worth downloading and using             Good recipes but weak strange design AstroPaul

I really like this app but I wish it would do a few more things 1 I would like to be able to rate the recipes Some of them have ratings but I don t know where they come from 2 I wish I could organize my favorites by category When you mark a recipe as a favorite it just goes into one big favorites list 3 Some of the photos are obviously wrong I like to see a photo of the food before I try the recipe                 Good recipes Jviegut

I don t like that there isn t a way to go back after u clicked on a recipe You need to select from a list menu of the previous results there s no way to go back to previous page             Needs a back button portalplayer
