Please consider a formatting function I love the app and with just basic formatting and a rich text save this would be my only word processing app I love the look and almost all of its functions Saving is a bit of a pain and no formatting means extra work when I push something into Word Overall great word processor Consider the rich text formatting and you have a superior product              great app except

It could really be better The things I type go away and disappear if I navigate away from the textkraft They wont show back up unless I force close and reopen Thats lame iPad 2 Also the ridiculous opening page thing that never goes away is stupid and makes my wife think Im looking at a womans butt Get rid of it           Its ok

Im glad Im not the only one that think the update stinks With the update I lost a lot of the simple and slick functions that made it my preferred iPad writing tool Now Im shopping for better app        Update stinks

This is a very useful app for writing large or small text documents A clean user interface No problems so far using this app                 Great App

Not only is the formerlyterrific toolbar now missing we have an undeletable ad that loads as part of our workspace And that ad is a picture of a young womans backside Its unbelievably unprofessional and the fact that it cant be deleted is very annoying I personally do not need to be shown a young womans behind before I work on documents thank you     Missing toolbar annoying new panel

This refers to the pre 80 Apple OS I use this routinely for making teaching outlines Having tabs and cursor controls makes life easier Printing is a problem If you dont have an air printer well You can open directly into PDF Connoisseur but you lose the formatting Copy from the copy button also fails to preserve the formatting Physically highlighting the text then copying onto the clipboard then opening the PDF Printer app allows the formatting to be preserved The PDF Printer then will convert to PDF and open up in PDF Connoisseur This why I cant give 5 stars Post 80 All of the controls are lost Some are there with hidden menus but really bogs down the system The highlight bottom is improved witha pull down the would be better with the old keyboard Quite disappointed If you dont fix this soon Ill have to look elsewhere           Best App short of Microsoft Word

I will gladly rerate at 5 stars if you can get it to work again Very user friendly writing app with a lot of great features When writing for my journal Ill often write my entry in Textkraft then cut paste to the journal           Update for ios8

Dont understand why I never see this app on the Featureds page of the Productivity category in the app store This is definitely a writers app with lots of helpful features I own about a dozen word processors and text editors and this is one of the most valuable                 A Writers App

Thank you much better than the last release Personally Id prefer still more of the cursor movement and selection buttons be immediately available but the expanded key rows in this release once again makes this program uniquely helpful for serious text manipulation              Big improvement

This is an easy to use word processor with all of the tools for a writer readily at hand Im very pleased with it                 The Complete Set of Tools

I loved this app before the update I use it to write my novels so I need to go back every once in a while to make sure Im keeping the story straight However the cursor wont let me I keep getting sent back to the bottom of the page no matter how hard I scroll Also what happened to the different backgrounds I need night mode because the ultra white background hurts my eyes I want the simplicity of the previous version back I dont want my cursor telling me what to do and I want my night mode back so Im not burning my eyes trying to type Fix it Until then Im finding another app     Uhhwhat

I purchased this app for the convenience of accessing the various tools I was great Now its a pain in the butt to edit and access the features that I want to use Put it back the way it was        Update Disaster

This is not my first writing program and hopefully also not my last It works reasonably well My biggest problems come with the slightly awkward method of saving files I can save them to some other site and I do But Im still not certain if these same files still exist in Textcraft I know theyre present on the front page but beyond that Im Unsure Otherwise I can use Textcraft with reasonable ease and it satisfies my needs It can probably do more than I ask it I simply have not spent the time to be come expert with it A former math professor admonish us not to learn any electronic language in depth but to pick them up and lay them down as needed They keep changing all the time And time is all we have Why spend it becoming expert at something one uses only marginally I dont regret buying Textcraft but it is not the guide to English composition I had to use as a freshman It works to my satisfaction PJE              Writing program

I used this app to write short stories but now all its good for is making a grocery list You took EVERY good thing about it and gave us junk No more word swap no character count among a multiple of other features no use to me Id find more use with the old slate and caulk to write with than this waste of space DO NOT BUY THIS APP OR EVEN WASTE YOUR TIME WITH A FREE VERSION I would give it a negative star but sadly not possible     Update KILLED this app

I bought this app a couple of years ago because of the awesome keyboard extensions That is gone now and so is the need to use this app It is horrible My fingers and brain hurt from trying to get the cursor around the page I guess the developer had know idea that their customers bought this software because of the ease of use and having everything at their fingertips within one click Now you have to go digging around in menus to look for icons epic fail     A big mess

Im still using the version prior to IOS8 and it really works well Based on reviews and bug issues Im not going to upgrade my OS until I know Textkraft has been fixed Its very easy to write with this app hence the 4 stars except my only issue is the rapid memory Once you read a document into a slot it doesnt show the original documents filename anymore just tktext so when I decide to save it Im not sure of the name so its confusing Also when you choose to edit a file instead of bringing it into rapid memory you cannot switch back and forth between other documents in rapid memory because it immediately forgets the document you were just editing Best way to solve these issues is to show the original filename for each rapid memory and allow the user to switch back and forth between the 1 editing slot and the rapid memories Otherwise thanks for a great app              So close to perfect

I have severe arthritis I have severe social anxiety My primary means of communication is text based Additionally I enjoy writing It relieves stress So basically I write all day especially when I cant move otherwise I cant hold a penpencil much anymore But I can type However I am a stickler for grammar punctuation etc iDevices can make that a bit difficult for a person with arthritis on the native screen Mostly with the moving and selecting of characterswords etc This app solved all of that for me And so much more I have been using it for a while now and Im still finding new tricks and new things to love about it Keep up the great work guys And thanks for making my life a bit easier                 Fantastic Much more than I was expecting

I was very unhappy with iPads standard notes it is fine as a limited note program but for any serious writing far too limited thus began searching for a serious word processor The result TextKraft A great freebie version I went ahead and upgraded immediately to get the full version I liked it that much This program is an inexpensive choice and terrific value a must have for anyone who wants to write more than a line or two note I especially liked the spell checker because iPads auto correct is sometimes annoying this program gives you the opportunity to circumvent this until ready to check your entire document A must have I highly recommend to you                 Tye A H

Here is a writing app that is simple enough that one can figure out most of the feature just by fiddling around experimenting Yet it provides adequate functionality for normal prose and communication The recent update made saving to a file much easier and obviousmany thanks for that                 Easy to use gets the job done

This used to be a beautiful product for creative writing not so much anymore Why on earth replace a great toolbar and useful shortcuts with menus Also forget scrolling on any document longer than two pages youll get dumped back to wherever you last left your cursor Great product gone terribly wrong     Bring back the old version

one of the most precise optimized for well designed and well determined writing and essays with a minimal and sharply tuned interface that can disappear completely writing happens either in the blank space of the entire screen or under minimal constraints and tool options to guide the process a real gem with more tools than almost if not all other serious writing programs                 finely made

With the last update it does not keep my stuff password protected Also messed up the way some of the things download It makes the words and titles all disconnected and split Please fix        Disappointed

This latest version of Textkraft brings this editor to almost perfect Its a great tool for writers and and provides great flexibility especially in multiple pages For me it falls short in two places First if I use 12pt type the document is difficult to read on the screen Boosting it to 20pt makes it easier to read but then you have a document with 20 pt type which is probably not what you want And that matters little when I come to item 2 In this case saving the document to and outside source like Dropbox strips out all the formatting and youre left with plain text It does little good to spend time formatting only to lose it Of course you could output it as a PDF but then there are many steps that one must go through to make it editable again But for those things it would be the perfect app for me If these things dont matter to you then this would be the best word processor for an iPad              Wish I could give it a 45

If you like to write there is no better program then this I was using note pad to write and i thought there is no nice word programapp for iPad until now This is the best word program i ever used i wish i could get it on my PC at work Great App worth every penny                 Awsome

An assortment of timesaving keyboard writing tools make this app a winner Only improvements I would suggest is easier inapp browser access to aid research plus a really good thesaurus to replace the default version The app does give optional access to a good thesaurus site Oxford              Excellent

I run an active cooking blog write pieces for magazines and am working on three books I do 99 of my work on an iPad Ive been through most of the apps that dont cost an arm and a leg and this is the one Ive settled on long term I like it better than Word frankly Its fast flexible and as simple or complex as you need or want to be Do yourself a favor and try it Chances are youll end up as pleased as I am                 Very fine indeed

Works well enough but the autocorrect is out of control I type comes correctly but it changes it to cones I type life correctly and it changes to luge I spent more time fixing the autocorrect mistakes than I do actually writing           Good not great

Just had to write this after sitting here for days using it to write a long brief Particularly along with all the other tools the full set of navigation tools available deletes forward and back for multiple wordswhole sentences precise cursor placement wherever you need using your thumbs on small type on an iPad are a godsend Very much appreciated                 The Best

This program almost does it all for you Creative writing tool to the max Im waiting on the bug fix for OS 802 other than that this app is indispensable                 Nice
