by Rob in Oakland Might be a little more interesting if they had a larger user community, sharing meaningful or beautiful or original videos, but it`s mostly the same, meager, uninteresting content you see at the bottom of the cultural barrel at video sharing sites…only less of it: dogs and cats and dolphins and blunders. There`s some major media content mixed in, but pretty much just cheap pop, bottom of the barrel there too. Why would major celebrities choose Telly?

I shot and submitted a test video (yes, my dog) and the app displayed "Video Processing" endlessly - not ready for prime time in that department. Restarted the app, and I could see the video on my feed but could not figure where to go to edit it and apply the awesome filters that all the fake reviews mention. I was curious to see if the filters are being done in the app or being sent to their server for processing.

Telly rebranded themselves - used to be twitvid - they needed to disassociate from Twitter and figure out their own thing - but they lack direction and focus - they just don`t seem to have found their own unique path as yet. The app itself lacks the kind of true native pizzazz and polish and focus that viddy offers - rather, it`s just another native app that wraps their website, with native buttons on the top and bottom.

It`s a crowded field of contenders to be the instragram of video, and Telly is bringing up the rear behind the leaders viddy and social cam - sad non-contender. Maybe they have a secret plan or some secret sauce cooking in their labs - hope so, because otherwise this is a DOA app.
