I ve used Teleprompt for years and today I went to use it and received a warning that the app needed to be updated WHAT THE HOLY HECK The update cost 20 There certainly weren t 20 in new features What will the next update cost me     20 to get the latest app version Shane_R

After buying a different promoter app that worked great for 5 minutes and then started crashing continuously in front of a client I was forced to find a new app pronto Telepromt 3 was recommended on the website of my teleprompter manufacturer and so I went ahead an bought it even though it was one of the more expensive ones After a 15 minute crash course figuring out the software and workflow in front of the client everything has been working great Connecting my iPhone and iPad is very easy can use Bluetooth or wifi and formatting editing scripts is super easy They allow you to save your own default formatting settings which you can apply to each script at the press of a button After prompting almost 10 hours so far I m pleased to report I ve had no issues with the software Controlling is very intuitive You can set a scroll speed and then use your fingers to drag the scroll up and down as needed to keep pace Double tapping pauses and in pauses I was thinking about getting a Bluetooth controller which you can do but I m not sure how necessary it is at this point The thing that makes me feel the best about it other than it working great is that I emailed support with questions twice and they responded with helpful answers by the next morning or sooner FYI you can map the volume buttons on your phone so they can control scroll speed Cool Also they recommend putting your phone and iPad in airplane mode and the turning on Bluetooth or wifi whichever you d like to use I m thinking Bluetooth would be better if your phone is setup to receive calls over wifi                     Works like a champ support is responsive Cinemaduro

I love TelePromp since the last version and have used it for years I purchased the new version because I was excited to get new features and support the programmer even though it s a bit costly I expected more First on my list of must add features is iPad Pro dual pane support This is not hard to add but the fact that it isn t added yet is an example of lack of care by the developer to keeping it up to date I would love to change my review Please update the program and I will update the review         So close to good Jacob Hantla

I bought this program several months ago and never used it Then I opened it up today for a quick project and I was able to figure everything out and get my scripts in I just a few minutes Seems like a nice program                     Love it TBobo

The promised feature set has so much potential It is a shame the developer can t deliver an app that is solid enough for professionals When it works it is straight forward and intuitive But this app has been riddled with bugs and crashes in every version I have tried iCloud sync doesn t work reliably the remote feature doesn t work reliably import doesn t work reliably and now the program won t even stay open If it worked it would be the most fully featured and well layer out TelePrompTer app on the App Store but until the bugs are ironed out been waiting more than a year avoid this app Not a proffessional tool that you can rely on     Avoid kDaWg1

Pros very flexible well thought out many ways to control speed on scroll If the need is for one prompter this is it For multi camera shoots though Cons Bluetooth sync is unreliable will sync every 10th attempt then not at all When it s synced it stays But getting it synced is not a sure bet iPad is better than iPhone as master but is still not reliable App will change text color at times on import Remote devices are easier to mirror flip than masters When sync fails masters sometimes have to step in under camera mirrors If another route to sync is found this is a slam dunk             What it does well it does well Biff Carbon

Not user friendly at all No instructions on how to upload a document I don t want to rewrite what took me weeks to type up in word I have copied and pasted my document and used Dropbox and they both worked but when I hit start TelePrompter nothing shows up If I type up a sentence that works but I need my whole file Not worth 25 00 I wish it was like google play where you have 15 minutes for a refund Now need to buy another app     Not so awesome mehall7

I ve been using Teleprompt for years and loved it Bought a new iPhone and had to reinstall the iPhone controller app which actually required repurchasing this new version It flat out does not work What was once an incredibly useful and intuitive app that communicated nearly flawlessly with my iPad now disconnects constantly and won t allow me to control the iPad It s now totally useless     Ruined what was once an amazing app Dvdgeorge11

Up until recently I LOVED this app It worked flawlessly pairing easily with my phone and making recording videos with my scripts a breeze lately I m plagued with problems 1 The app crashes whenever I try to import a script 2 The phone app will not pair with the iPad 3 When I do get a script into the app by opening it in a text editor on the iPad and pasting it into a new script and run a prompt by adding a bunch of space to the top of the script so I can start the prompt at camera and then walk back to my mark and start recording when I run a script randomly throughout the script it will just stop displaying text or if I m lucky I ll get the last two letters of the words on the edge of the screen and that s it Not sure what happened to the update but it has made the app useless to me         Used to be perfect Now it s unusable Heniadis

After reading other reviews I was a little apprehensive but most seem to be specific to using a remote function which I don t require I primarily use this to create short video segments for online teaching courses I write and want a small but good talking head shot to embed in my presentation without a lot of equipment fuss This app and my iPad work perfectly together to accomplish this purpose In addition when I had a small issue initially and contacted support they were super quick and extremely helpful Very pleased                 Great App Great Support brchase

I bought this app because I saw you could use an iPhone or wireless keyboard to act as a remote control for the iPad Teleprompter but it s absolutely awful With every attempt glitches or crashes occur with the prompter randomly moving back to the beginning or the display on the remote showing a different part of the script than what is shown on the prompter Total waste of money I hope I can get a refund on this because it just didnt work at all and yes I read the user manual     Completely Disappointed jenniball91

I love the idea but unfortunately it just doesn t work Any attempts to use the remote almost always fails Usually just when you need it to work and your talent is ready to go The most common problem is failing to sync the remote on the iPhone with the iPad Once you resolve that it s common for the remote to lose communication with the iPad So this means you can t actually control text flow for your talent But there are other issues For instance using Google Drive causes a crash although dropbox integration does seem to work reliably My main gripe is that it s so unreliable your talent will get up and leave before you ever make it work But if you can live with an unreliable interface and not being able to control it during taping then in general it s a good teleprompter I would have to say in terms of presentation and editing capabilities it would be fantastic If it just worked when I needed it         Wonderful concept BUGGY BEYOND BELIEF zbeckman

Overall this is a great app iOS remote control is a great feature So far the app is fairly user friendly It s an little pricey as far as apps go but the same app works also as a remote on multiple devices so no need to purchase a separate app to use as the remote It was a little tricky getting the mirror image function to work properly using a remote App support contacted me within a couple of hours of requesting help and gave me step by step instructions to solve my problem Very helpful                 Great App SamTotman

I use Teleprompt for my online education videos and for my live webinars I have only used version 3 a couple times so far But so far so good I m impressed I love to be able to add a bit of stage direction to my script and to have it in a different color I also love being able to emphasize certain words to make sure I stress certain words in order to get my meaning across more clearly Version 3 brings some awesome improvements to an already solid teleprompt software I highly recommend this app                     So Far So Good CatholicTeacher

I should have known that this app would be trouble when it crashed on me once during a dry run it crashed during the first live speech that I gave with it and crashed out froze my entire iPad requiring me a restart to fix I was sent scrambling for a paper manuscript at a critical juncture in my presentation I love the interface but unreliability is absolutely unacceptable during a presentation I will revise my rating if and when the stability issues are addressed     Buggy and Unstable DevilDogSoldier

I have been using an earlier version of this app since it first can out and found it invaluable No more shuffling though multiple pages of notes while speaking and no need to strain to read my notes The new version is definitely an improvement and well worth the 15 I especially like the ability to edit on the fly If you do public speaking and don t have access to a real TelePrompTer this is the way to go                     A Great App D__H
