TapSpeak Choice for iPad

I would give zero star if possible No response from support for an app that cost this much     Mr

This app is a blessing for our family but most of all our daughter Its given her a voice and shes very motivated by it The developer is great to work with and is willing to make improvements It is worth the money                 Miracle app

I use this program mainly for use in the school setting with a student with autism It takes about five minutes to learn how to navigate create and edit boards It is simple to use and easy to make boards on the fly with use The user is able to create and record pictures and assign them to libraries for easy reference The website also was very helpful in providing written tutorials I also emailed the tech dept for this app and received feedback in less than 30 minutes All in all this is a very user friendly and supportive aac app                 Easy to use

I bought tap sequence and tap choice PAID for both and they wont install on my Ipad Not even through my itunes Money gone     Wont LOAD

I liked the previous version but v4 really makes this app versatile and powerful My son used it to communicate with us using the PEC symbols Now with v4 it is growing with him providing better graphics colored buttons and easy editing capability as we now focus more on words than symbols so buttons that just say yes or contain phrases are easy to add to our boards                 Great app awesome support

We have a young child 4 with CP this app is wonderful its something he can use at last compared to some of the other alternatives This is a five star product and worth every penny the developer obviously understands the needs of children with a disability For a later version can we have airplay support that would be great for vision impairment                 Amazing

I did not get any pictures with this ap and has made it totally useless a 99 trash can I assume I have to pay extra for pictures which should have been mentioned I bought this ap for my mother who had a stroke to help with our communication     Speak Tap

This app crashes immediately after trying to add pages for vocabulary I have put two emails into the support help email address listed and it has been over 2 weeks with no response For such a costly app and as a hopeful AAC system for a student this is extremely disappointing especially since no refund is available and it is completely nonfunctional I have also tried updating but there are no app updates and iOS is on the latest version on my iPad 2     Crashes

You have to do all the programming yourself this app does not come with any preloaded language Most other AAC apps come with a corevocabulary setup already ready to go I ran into a problem programming it and even though I was following the user manual instructions exactly it still would not work I put in a help ticket through the app itself and got no response Put in another help ticket through the website and still no response Finally emailed the founder directly and his wife responded telling me that they couldnt help me as they have a specialneeds child also so their time is too valuable to waste on me a customer who spent hundreds of dollars on this crappy app She then told me to just YouTube how to use it If youre going to charge what the other AAC apps charge you should at least make up for it with exceptional customer service Seriously disappointed and upset about my experience with this one I would rate it less than 0 if I could     Worst AAC app out there

BoardMaker symbols are not enough to save this app A clunky interface absolutely ludicrous pronunciations really spasghetti and high price point are big problems unfortunately Anyone who is that convinced that their childstudent can only use BoardMaker symbols 1 needs an AAC eval and symbol assessment and 2 needs to step up generalization because many of the symbols are not THAT dramatically different Wish so much that I could like this app but no matter how hard I try I run back to other more customizable and friendly apps        Just because it has board maker symbols

This is the best app Ive found to use for my 35year old daughter who has verbal apraxia Great to have boardmaker pictures which are standard for most picture based communication devices Very quick and straightforward to creat new boards Also bought ProloQuotogo but it didnt work for us at all total overkill for a child no boardmaker symbols money wasted Thank you for resolving most obvious issues in recent updates However the voice recording module wasnt functioning properly after the next to last update It didnt always record and had to be restarted After the latest update the recorder still has the same issue In addition now after I record the voice for a given item and exit the voice recorder it no longer plays it back when I tap the icon I am now unable to record voice for new icons Could you please help me resolve this soon as we rely on the application for my daughters communication Thank you for a great app despite minor issues              Great app minor issues

Knittygrrlku If you had problems with this then just abandoned it thats your own fault Ted Conely the developer is an amazingly helpful guy who will stick with you until any problems are resolved And no I am not connected with him at all but rather a grandfather of an autistic child who uses TapSpeak Choice as his primary means of communications on a daily basis Other programs that can do what TapSpeak Choice does cost at least twice as much You will not find any customer support better than from Ted Conely              This is a great buy for your money

I am a SpeechLanguage Pathologist and I use this app with my special day classrooms The children are already familiar with the board maker symbols which allows them to easily navigate through this app I love that we can edit and add photos that are specific to the students of our program Thanks Ted C For a great contribution to special education                 Great for Speech Therapy

I am an slp in a public school district and absolutely love this app for use with my students My students with autism really connect with the Boardmaker symbolsand for the first time this year one of my students stopped using echolalic speech during a lesson and started using the messages programmed through the app to comment about the content of our story I have even used this app for my students who have difficulty with sentence grammar They are able to use the app to build grammatically correct messages about stories we read together It has been worth every cent and I would highly recommend it to other speech paths and parents                 Love this app

I was so excited about this app it seemed like it had so much potential Even after reading the poor reviews still I bit the bullet and dropped 150USD I should have known better but am desperate to find something for my son to communicate The app is poorly designed It has a clunky unintuitive user interface and most of all is incredibly buggy i have tried it on iOS51 and iOS60 neither of which work properly This was a huge waste of money for my family Id recommend not purchasing it Im hoping that at some point in the near future updates will be posted which will fix the bugs however I dont have much hope for an improved user interface or more intuitive design 150 AAC apps should be only be published by experienced developers     Very Disappointed
