I am a teacher trying to move toward paperless grading, but my students must still write by hand because that is how the state tests them. I decided to try scanning in their essays and scoring them electronically on my iPad. I`ve tried a couple other programs, but this one had the features I was looking for. I can click in the margins of a PDF file (created by scanning my students essays to PDF on our school`s photocopier) and I can use the stylus function to circle, highlight, or edit text. I also like the option to delete pages since my scanner reads blank notebook paper as a page with content. This is a wonderful program, and it has significantly reduced the size and weight of the pile of papers I carry around.
Very Disappointed

I thought this app would be great, especially for $4. But it was very difficult to use, not intuitive at all and the layout is horrible. I liked the idea of saving the edits into a separate file but this program didn`t do a very good job, it is very slow and takes forever to load things. The zoom feature doesn`t work appropriately and is very difficult to use and draw at the same time. Don`t waste your money.
FINALLY! Just what I was looking for!

If only I had found this earlier! I would have saved myself a ton of time and money. This does EVERYTHING I need it to do. I can highlight both native PDF files and scanned images that were saved as pdfs. (those pesky articles that I have to read for school!) I can write notes for class or type them. I can draw symbols to go with the notes as well. I can even change the color of the text to match the color of the highlighter I used. It is perfect for my needs. I am thrilled with it.
There is just one tiny issue with the inserting additional pdfs, as I would like to group them in one document. I seem to have trouble adding more then single page documents. Its a little thing though, since the rest works so much better then the other ones I have tried!!
