For me its five stars The movement could be improved to just touch the site you want to go but thats just a matter of time to adapt                 Five stars

Im giving this 4 stars because it is a good game After buying this I was sad to find out that it isnt my kind of game Something about rogue likes is a turnoff for me Still along with 100 rogues this is all a rogue like fan needs on the iOS              Not my cup of tea

The pacing of the game is good I feel like Im finding new objects monsters etc at a rate that maintains my interest Theres a few minor annoyances the fact that I can farm Ossuaries and Ceiling Holes makes me feel like Im not maximizing and the fact that you can see traps on the floor but only barely makes me feel like Im supposed to walk super slow which just makes the game less fun I would rather the traps were either totally invisible and more detection items or easier to see with the naked eye Also bothers me that I cant disarm chest traps Watch out for crashes I lost four floors of progress to one The game will not autosave your progress so exit and reenter your quest every floor or so           Fun good pacing handles crashes poorly

Awesome game If you like the old school style roguelike games you will like this one Controls work well for those complaining it is hard to control because it does not always go where you touch try thinking of in 8 directons up down left right and all diagonals Just swipe and hold in the direction you want to go you dont even have to touch the character The sounds are fun Although it is a dungeon crawl there are plenty of enemies traps treasures secrets and surprises I have had this game since it first came out for the iPhone and there is so much to discover I still havent beaten it yet This game has been one of the few games that has never gotten deleted off of my devices Buy it You will like it                 Old school RPG at its finest

Now had to buy legends edition same game to get it for my ipad So 4 stars But a 5 star game still hoping for a cardinal quest 3 in the meantime this classic is awesome              Amazing but already bought it for iphone

The nicely balanced play and well designed controls makes this easy to share with my 4 year old on harder modes its a blast for me              Fun for the whole family

I played the original on my uncles C64 way back in 1983 this version brought back that same feeling of exploration trepidation For anyone who wants to know how it was how you could be walking on high then knocked down hard pick this game up                 Memories

As a huge fan of dungeon crawlers this is my favorite app on my iPod touch and my iPhone The best nonPC game in the genre Ive ever played I find that it strikes the perfect balance where it doesnt matter whether Im spending a couple minutes or a couple hours playing I never feel like Im just mindlessly repeating and I never feel like Im in overt head adapting Awesome                 My favorite game

I cant tell you how many hours I lost playing Sword of Fargoal as a kid on the family Commodore 64 so when I found out there was a version for iOS I flipped This remake does not disappoint The game has been modernized and modified to be usable on the iPad and iPhone touchscreen plus the graphics have been improved but just enough to where it keeps its retro feel Some of the gameplay rules have changed but in my opinion they are mostly minor tweaks that neither add nor subtract from the original game experience A minor nitpick movement using the touchscreen can be a little fidgety on rare occasions Sometimes when I go to attack a monster I end up doing a square dance around them Ive never died as a result so again a minor nitpick                 Great C64 port the right mix of modern and retro

Ive finished this game several times now and really enjoy it every time The simple swipe controls and completely random dungeons and item placements keep me coming back The ambiance as amazing too wear headphones if you can the music is great and a little 8bit music sound plays when monsters are moving which is both helpful and unnerving If you like Roguelike games even just a little bit you should give this one a try Side note I read some of the other reviews on here by people that have decided to give this game 3 stars or less and their complaints just seem silly and unwarranted For example one person complained about the controls and running around a monster in circles instead of attacking them thats ridiculous one of the things I love about this game is the controls Wanna go up Swipe your finger up from anywhere Wanna go right Swipe your finger right from anywhere I have no idea what the hell that reviewer was doing but obviously theyre doing something wrong Lastly there arent any inapp purchases in this game I dont know about you but nothing makes me angrier than spending a few bucks on a game only to find out that you need to spend more money to unlock necessary game items Thankfully youll find none of that here Check it out youll probably be happy you did                 Fantastic game no IAP

honestly I was really disappointed I expected so much more At least to actually control the fighting myself but it is like a long boring auto battle What a waste of three bucks I will never play this I downloaded deep dungeons of doom and mighty dungeons the same day and they are both a million times better then this        Not as good as I expected

Im not sure what it is about this game that keeps me coming back to it I cant get enough of it It would be super handy to have some info ingame regarding different items it took me a while to figure out what the various orbs do Im looking forward to the kick starter version                 Awesome

Nice graphics and polish but otherwise missing a lot of functionality and tweaking that it desperately needs to reach its potential Been out plenty long enough for changesfixes but I suppose enough reviews hence revenue that the developers just got lazy Save your money Worth 099 but no more People that have gamed a long time wont be impressed           Just not that fun

My only complaint is that it doesnt fill up the whole screen on the bigger iPhones              Really fun

I enjoy this style of game and this is by far my very favorite of the genre on IOS SoF provides endless hours of exploration challenge and enjoyment One of these days perhaps I will actually beat the game but no matter I will continue to enjoy trying The only negative I can think of is the lack of support for Game Center the game uses Crystal leaderboards which is a dead system It would be nice if the developers would update SoF to fix this but I understand that they are hard at work on the sequel I cant wait                 A favorite that never gets old

Took me just a bit then I realized I was hooked While it is a retro game I play it with sound off Not a fan of the sound              Addictive

While people like dasien write 800 paragraphs on how stupid this port is and curses the developers for their blasphemy on a C64 port Id rather focus on the good you will get your moneys worth from this game Excellent music super addictive challenging and it has high replay value The game mechanics are kept simple but it keeps you movie forward effortlessly for the most part There are some fidgety things about it like any port but its an excellent effort all around Get it                 Excellent ignore the naysayers

Never played the original but I was just up to midnight last night playing this version Got my character up to level 10 and was killed by a pack of giant centipedes Now Im back for more You have to figure out for yourself what the different spells and artifacts do which is part of the fun This addictive dungeon crawler will eat up the hours Now stop bugging me so I can get back to playing Update beat it after ten tries Just perfect Totally fun No need to replay legend mode is very hard Cant wait for Fargoal 2 Ps I really like the music                 Addictive and Perfect

I personally enjoy a roguelike so Im a big fan of this game I like the casual approach and find it well suited to the mobile touchscreen You arent bogged down with menus and stats which leaves you to explore and have fun Its a nice simple coffee break RPG with enough replay value to keep you coming back for one more game                 A great roguelike
