I just bought this App and Im very disappointed Its practically useless Most of my stocks are ETFs but I cant add them Why And I agree with other reviewers it should work on landscape too I shouldve read the reviews before buying Please fix this app otherwise I want my 1499 back     Does not support ETFs

Love stock guru their other app but this one fails on many levels It only goes back one year and it would be an awesome app if it provided suggestions on ways to improve portfolio lower risk portfolio weaknesses suggested stocks etc It doesnt really provide any useful info and is really only good for a beginning investor Not worth the money in my opinion as there are better tools on the market at less money Good idea but fails in execution        Failed my expectations

This is a good and can be a great app if 1 add ETFS and mutual funds and most importantly why are each portfolio limited to 30 positions each Either increase the amount of holdings or at least connect them in some way so that the app would be much more efficient Thanks jay           Good app

The only reason it isnt a one star is that the app is potentially useful That said Im surprised at the number of little problems that exist in the software The developers still seem to be actively working on the app There are a few substantial improvements over the last version Increased the portfolio size to 30 I wish this limit didnt exist but at least this is a more reasonable number Fixed some problems with calculating and displaying portfolio information Added landscape orientation There are some serious reliability problems with this app still I wish it were more thoroughly QA tested before release I cant consider using this software for any real use until these are addressed A few screens have shown stalebroken calculations that change when I revisit the screen For instance in the backtest screen I added a new stock then removed it This apparent nonchange modified the return graph This only happened the first time In the correlations screen one of my positions WM shows either 0 or 1 against all other stocks in my portfolio In the pairwise correlations it shows no overlap in the venndiagram illustration against any of the other 20odd stocks It isnt clear to me if correlation is supposed to be related to those Venn diagrams or not There were no negative correlations What does it take to get a negative correlation in the portfolio I suspect somethings broken here too In the pairwise correlations screen I always get statements of the form if you had invested x in stock y you would have lost x Which is patently wrong Other minor bugs include I have an ipad 4 and the text on many screens isnt sharp On the allocation screen the sector diversification graph runs off the bottom of the screen In landscape mode new positions added at the bottom of the screen get hidden by the keyboard so you dont know what youre typing There was some odd flashing when the keyboard popped open I have a bunch of other nicetohaves I hope the developers are able to consider these No support for ETFs Time horizon is limited to one year Most interesting events in investing dont happen all that frequently and an year is a fairly short time span for a buyandhold portfolio Theres enough functionality here that this app requires a user guide on how to best use the app There is none Suggest an investment that would increase diversification andor reduce correlation in the portfolio More backtesting related functionality Currently backtesting will show you how the portfolio return changes over the previous 12 months It doesnt bring that out very well though it would be nice if the current vs backtested portfolios returns were shown sidebyside Also summarize the changes between the original and backtested portfolios In backtesting please also show the impact of the change on correlation and diversification Show a more detailed view of the correlations of one stock against all others in the portfolio Less than pairwise but more than the whole chart I really want to like this app        Potentially useful

Only useful if you are starting a new portfolio and you will only be buying stocks and not etfs or mutual funds Evaluations limited to one year Does not include options Very inaccurate Wish I had saved my money Please save yours     Very weak app

Are you kidding me I will not even start to use this app until you integrate landscape mode Cmon developer for such a great app in Stock Guru and to add to that this app is not available on the iPhoneiPod this app should not have ever been released until landscape mode was integrated This is the most frustrating thing ever If you developed an iPhone only app then Im fine with portrait mode only but who freakin uses portrait mode on their iPad Rating will not change until this is addressed You may take this review with a grain of salt if you use your iPad in portrait mode Also note that I have not tried and will not try to use this app until landscape capability is incorporated UPDATE I HAD TO CHANGE MY REVIEW SINCE THE DEVELOPER RESPONDED QUICKLY LANDSCAPE MODE ADDED AND THE APP IS A GEM WITH MUCH POTENTIAL ITS NICE TO VIEW YOUR PORTFOLIO IN THIS FORMAT IM NOT TOO FOND OF THE IN APP PURCHASES BUT NO NEED FOR THEM ANYWAYS ONE BIG ISSUE AFTER THE UPDATE HOWEVER FORCE CLOSING FREQUENTLY PLEASE ADD IPHONE SUPPORT UPDATING REVIEW AFTER MORE EXPERIENCE WITH THE APP AND FIXES WARNING UPDATE APP IS NOT USEABLE FORCE CLOSES ON LAUNCH Do not buy until this is fixed I am confident it will be                 Landscape Mode

The app is OK though very limited Adding options etfs and mutual funds would be a plus A great feature would be to show future best and worst scenarios based on analysts estimates        Needs improvement

Dont even provide basic stock info Just a horrible app with good UI     Nice UIBut absolutely Useless
