This is a solid useful app I recommend it to all teachers regardless of age level The students are constantly on their toes not knowing if they will be called on next I always pick a student have my iPad on their desk to call out the names as a reward and also to force my shy students to participate more often This is one of the most useful apps for teachers I have ever found                     Good stuff TricInChina

My app was doing the same thing as other people s not loading classes etc I emailed Buzz for help before I read the reviews If I would have read here first I could have just uninstalled and reinstalled it without having to ask for help But he got back to me very quickly and told me know what I needed to do It was a super easy fix I ve used this app for at least two years and this was the first time I have ever had trouble with it I love the app because it makes my job easier and who doesn t want that                     Great app and great support JamieCrab83

I have used this app for the past 4years I love it and my students love it When I couldn t add my current classes due to the latest update I emailed the issue and got a response the next day with how to fix it Great customer service and fun app for students I am not sure if there is a way to do this or not but getting an email to current purchasers about deleting the app may have prevent some negative reviews                     Love this app Golfgirl224

I have used Stick Pick the last 3 years in my grade 1 class I have also shared it with many colleagues When I went to add this year s students and kept having problems I freaked but remembered that I could email the developer Buzz got back to me right away and told me because of an issue with Dropbox all I needed to do was delete the app and re download it Problem solved and I am back tons using this fabulous app Don t listen to the naysayers I use this app everyday                     Just delete and re download Tchrtvlr

I also have loved this app for years and was planning on using it in a presentation for my school about apps ever teacher should have I was disappointed as well when the app didn t seem to be working after the update but I deleted and reloaded it as another reviewer suggested and it works great This app is awesome especially when you need a quick assessment I do wish I could plug in the activity name I was using Stick Pick for each time so I could add that to the data to save                 It does still work if you delete and reload app Tuelio

In response to Apple Pirate B4LE and LeSass I promise it s still awesome you just need to delete the previous version of the app and then reinstall it You will find the app actually works better than before because now you can sync across all your iOS devices using your Facebook or Google log in                     It still works great please read buzzyg

Thank you so much for the import It was so easy Technology doesn t always work they way it is explained but here it was spot on I think it is the only that has gone right for me this school year so far I enjoyed using this app last year to track student progress and I am looking forward to doing so again this year Provides excellent evidence for formative assessment                     Import is a time saver Zuwenna

Love this app Takes a few minutes to upload from Dropbox but it s well worth it Hint Make sure there s a space between column headings First name instead of firstname I imported from online grade book super easy As kids come and go it s easy to just delete or add individually I AirPlay to HD TV so kids can see the names they love it Thank you No more buying expensive sticks                     Awesome Bestie123

I ve used several apps for calling students randomly This is by far the best one classes imported using Dropbox docs was a breeze after Buzz at Stick Pick contacted Dropbox to adjust a setting It took less than 24 hours for Buzz to have it working for me He s kind and quick app also has the option to assign Blooms levels of question starters to classes These show when drawing sticks so you can use them to question students at pre assigned levels on the fly easy to use in class with options for how to draw sticks                     BEST Random Name Selector PLUS Yeh417

Thank you for the update This app takes your old school Popsicle sticks and combines them with Bloom s question stems in the most clever way Not only does it remove unconscious bias when calling on students but the fact that you set the level of difficulty for each student is remarkable Talk about differentiation Add that to the fact that you can track each student s responses and then change their levels up or down makes this app even more remarkable Great job on this app Highly recommend it Thanks for the updates                     Best Teacher App AppGirl3000

The latest version is quite nice It did have the upload issue mentioned in the one star review below but that was resolved in something like 24 hours We as users should remember to send an error report to the developer and give them an appropriate amount of time to rectify it before reviewing Everything will have problems and how they react to it is as important as the app itself In my experience this app gets a lot of attention from it s developer and issues are resolved quickly as this instance is an example I m a private school teacher and I love this app It speeds up the process of selecting a student and framing an appropriate question I really like the fact that the app tracks the difficulty level of each question and allows me to rate the student s response This gives me the ability to increase or decrease the level of difficulty and challenge the student to succeed                     A Teacher s Must Have and a great gift idea Abjoyswaney

Someone commented this app was a waste of their money because it was being updated I ll bet their foot is in their mouth now because with the new update my husband and I are able to save time by utilizing the ability to import our classes like those annoying 200 names and then we can sync those across all our devices Saves SOOO much time and makes this great app even better Keep it up like I said LOVE this app                     LOVE the update Bananas Forever

I rarely spend money on apps but this app was well worth the price It has been incredibly useful in my kindergarten classroom I created my class and assigned each student to a lower Level of Bloom s I can then allow the iPad to choose a student to answer my question it gives me question stems and I can record an assessment I can later check each child s status to see who is bake to answer questions who can answer them sometimes and who never answers them correctly It was useful for me to create multiple classes so that I could keep track of data I have a section to keep track of students who can speak in complete sentences students who can identify characters students who can identify setting students who can count to 20 students who can segment sounds or blend words or recall details the list goes on Rather than creating checklists or trying to keep up with a dozen sticky notes for each child this app keeps data for me I even set up a class with only 6 students so that I could include all 6 levels of a Blooms I use that class primarily for the question stems when I want to really start a discussion with my kinders It is very useful when holding a Socratic seminar I use the lower levels of Blooms for most other sections as I only need higher level stems for certain activities in a Kindergarten classroom For those who saw my review and thought TL DR the bottom line is this If you are a teacher and you need a way to track data and call students randomly buy this app                     Fantastic Useful App LuminousTurnip

I ve been using this app for over two years and I must say it keeps getting better and better Right after I updated it it wouldn t let me import because of a Dropbox problem but then I emailed the developer and they replied really fast within 5 minutes They said they were aware of the situation and working on it When I woke up the next morning they emailed me and asked me to try it again and guess what It worked perfectly So if you are a teacher and wondering if you should buy it take it from a teacher with over 16 years of teaching experience just buy this app and toss out your old Popsicle sticks forever                     Sync and import are my new BFFs Teach from the Heart

When I try to import a student roster from Dropbox I get the message only a limited set of users can receive access tokens while this app is in development mode So this was a waste of money for me as I won t be entering 200 students names individually     Features limited while in development mode sabrabba

This is a great randomizing app I use it beyond just a student roster It servers the purpose for any randomized calling needed e g place value bingo hunk chunk bingo and word families and Word Wall Words I love the fact that you can peek the used or unused sticks The new sync features are a bonus as well I enjoy the fact that improvements are always being looked at for this app                     Convenient and Simple hallwbc31

This is a great app but I m a computer teacher with 700 students I need a better way to enter names sync across devices and dynamically pick a level of questioning                 Love it but want more features Mike03094

Love that it is more than just a student picking app but I am a music teacher with almost 500 students I need an app that syncs with my iPad and iPhone so I don t have to type names into both devices Sometimes my phone is more convenient to use and other times it is my iPad A cut and paste option would even make it easier although the preference would be for my devices to sync                 Love it but bandgal28

I do love this app I use the Blooms and ESL questions to get more in depth answers from my students that are at a different level I teach mild special ed However I would like to see an option to import class lists and this is my most IMPORTANT syncing with other devices It is a great pain and waste of my time to have to add all my students and their levels to every device I use in my classroom             Updates Needed Misty Ubina
