Every day I get kicked out of the paper while reading it so many times that it s ridiculous Today I decided to count how many times I got kicked out 20 times before I was finished This is exasperating and senseless Please make it stop Worst app ever Bonniekitt

After many many years the Times continues to put out a digital edition that is inconsistent For over a month my edition has not automatically downloaded I have to go to the editions icon where I tap for the edition I need to download I finally got tech support where they were working on it Few weeks later now when I open the app it still opens on the South Pinellas edition only for the past 2 days the EDITION ICON REMAINS BLANK WHEN OPEN There is no way I can open my edition for Pasco nor can I get to a past edition When will the Times get it right NEVER it seems STINKS jpwinkle

The app refuses to load the paper even after a hard reboot Someone needs to test these apps before they send them out Load problems Rab33606

I have been using this app for almost two years now and loved it especially the part where you can email yourself an article But for some reason in the last few months I cannot do this from my iPad Can do it when reading online with Windows 10 but not iPad Don t know if it s an iPad issue or paper issue Other than that love this epaper Epaper Vas wheel

Newly downloaded so this is a first impression So far I like it a lot I always liked reading the paper and this is the paper as I know it in tablet form It has worked without a glitch for me so far Happy so far Seattle_Brad

This app was a perfect five stars before the update The updated app has lost its mind for focusing and scrolling It also now opens in article mode instead of browser mode Focusing when zooming with a tap doesn t work reliably Usually you have to either minimize and tap again or expand a little bit and then reduce after it focuses And the scrolling Whether you stay in contact with the screen or lift your finger if you scroll the slightest bit quickly then the screen jumps Very frustrating to scroll very slowwwwly around Please fix the app or just put the old one back Update June 14th no action yet Don t they read our comments I also have noticed that the new version crashes a lot also Update June 28th received some very helpful email feedback from the Times and the app developer Things are much improved if you delete the app reinstall the app and log in This new install really helps the scrolling and focusing a lot Hopefully the app fixes will be available shortly I am adding a star Update Aug 6th the new app is much improved in all areas except for focusing Sometimes nothing will make a page focus In those cases I have been able to focus the adjoining page and scroll back to the page I wanted Please fix the focus Very bad update It was perfect Retired Engineer Bill

Believe it or not I like the paper and am trying to get the electronic edition but I can t succeed in paying my money to get it The app makes it a quest even to find out where to subscribe It keeps asking you to log in but doesn t show you where to register to begin with I finally found it by clicking on Forgot Password and scrolling down to a New Subscription link Then having gotten to the New Subscription menu you can t sign in by entering an e mail address you have to do it via an e mail provider Cool Hi tech Social media Only problem is that it won t log me in to my Yahoo e mail account Keeps telling me incorrect password Funny it works on Yahoo s website TBT I give up Call me when you ve got a works in the real world app The newspaper business is in enough trouble without this app Arizona777

It works well enough when I am out of town and want to keep up with whats going on at home but the app has some annoying quirks The pages often take a long time to render and zooming may require it to completely reload Navigating from page to page or article to article feels clunky and sluggish This is when connected to high speed Internet like fios Probably the most annoying thing is in regards to zooming in to read an article If you use a 2 finger zoom you can make the font size large enough to easily read but as soon as you take your fingers off the screen the font size reduces itself considerably Its just okay

I am really enjoying reading the paper every day using this app Another reviewer mentioned the font is too small but if you tap an article with 2 fingers it loads it up as text that can be resized as big as you want by pinching I love that the whole paper is there complete with all images If only there were a way to share or email articles I would give this a perfect rating Great way to read the paper

This app is a huge disappointment It sheds a negative light on those of us wanting to embrace the transition away from paper to ingesting our news digitally As part of the nerd community I cope with the extremely poor performance but the average user would most certainly give up after one attempt and go back to cutting down trees Ladies and gentlemen this is a very poor effort and I believe is doing you more harm than good If I were part of the SPTimes management team and was paying attention Id be scheduling a sitdown with the developer to consider a new approach Either that or start interviewing new developers There are many iOS reader apps that do fine job of handing large PDF files at twice the speed and without crashing with nearly every use Come on guys fix this thing Just Barely Usable

In order to keep the app from grabbing too much storage I have to delete and reinstall Ive made the necessary changes in Settings but it stills takes over 2 Gigs of storage It wont delete the old editions of the paper I may have to resort to just viewing TBT website Takes Up Too Much Storage

It is unfortunately virtually impossible to read the digital version of the Paper the app crashes continuously and deleting and reinstalling as suggested by customer service has no results It seems that the app is very unstable when not crashing one notices constant bluring of the text Not recommended Most unstable app ever

This digital edition if the Tampa Times is the worst digital edition of a newspaper I have ever tried to read I suggest they reach out and talk to people at the New York Times and the Wall Street Journal to see how a real digital edition should appear Until it changes I am a non reader of this paper Dan Campbell VERY POOR DIGITAL EDITION

Ive used this app daily on my Mini Its has always worked pretty good After the update it has a mind of its own It constantly focuses on its own usually out out of focus I constantly have to tap out let it refocus and they tap back in to continue to read fix it quick please before I move on Last Update A Hugh Step Backwards

If you want to be aggravated every day then use this app There are never any updates and it has constant problems and weak customer service Usually I can at least get the paper Today I got it after 30 minutes and then it wont focus Tampa Bay Times

Links that span across 2 lines do not work Defeats the purpose of having embedded hot links Very annoying In The Reading File section in Opinion section on Saturdays the full article is available ONLY through the links When the URL spans to the next line broken link If you want to read it open up Safari yourself and type in the URL Annoying Multiline links dont work

This is a wonderful app I live in Lakeland where the St Pete Times is not available and I have really missed it This app gives access to the entire paper and you can even choose which edition You want The app is easy to use and took only a few minutes to learn how to navigate open articles to read and so forth There is absolutely no problem with the font size when looking at a whole page it is easy to read the headers and select what you want to read and then slide two fingers on the screen to expand the print as large as you want it And the letters can be made huge The only difficulty I encountered was that on a few occasions the print would suddenly shrink to its original size Holding it open by leaving my fingers in the expanded position worked well to stop this I know I will use this app frequently and am very happy to have found it Highly recommended Terrific

Watch your storage if you download the editions every day Even though my settings specify to only retain 3 editions all of them stay there until your iPad storage fills up Only option then is to clear everything from storage Sometimes the picture resolution is wrong so any pictures or comics are not readable Option buttons are not very well worded not intuitive to see where to do things Sometimes window pops up saying I am not connected to the internet when I am There are days I have to close and open the app several times before it recognizes that it has a new edition available for download In general does the trick to read the paper but would love to see these annoyances fixed OK but buggy
