Spruce - see a dermatologist for acne

Lets first start by saying I have never done a review in my years of having an iPhone This app is so amazing It made me want to review it I sent pictures of my face and got my treatment the next day Holly was amazing she helps you in discounts for your medication and she answers all your questions The Doctor explained all the instructions in detail The only thing that bothers me is the age restriction I believe teenagers have more acne than adults and you guys will make a lot more clients if you accepted teenagers with parent supervision and approval                 This is the best app ever made

This is a scam They send you a prescription in your name with out you saying ok The doctor also just sent me a firm diagnosis It talked about things that didnt even make sense     Scam alert

Fantastic Dermatologist Dr Cheung diagnosed my skin condition in about three minutes after I submitted my caseimages Not to mention this was on a Sunday night By the next day I picked up my prescriptions and in 3 days my skin was already clearing up I will definitely use Spruce again So Much better than waiting for a referralderm office appointment especially for the busy professional                 Rapid excellent medical opinion and treatment

Within two weeks Dr Fungs recommendations got me from a smooth skin with the usual pimple or two before my period to deep cystic acne that I never before had in my life When I panicked and reached out he was unresponsive It got way worse my whole chin was covered in large cysts his reply was Given that your acne has been worsening so dramatically it would probably be a good idea to hook up with someone in your network for an inperson evaluation No accountability whatsoever for the result consequence of his treatment Now I need to see a real dermatologist to fix what these so called experts did Its also worth mentioning that his recommended treatment was over 250 and I have insurance I also wrote directly to the support team and never heard back Learn from my mistakes were talking about your skin here Invest your time and money with a reputable professional that will treat you and follow through not send you to a dermatologist when his treatment ruins your face     Worst mistake in my adult life THEY WILL RUIN YOUR FACE

I usually dont write reviews but this app is the best I used this app 8PM yesterday night I got a response from the dermatologist with my treatment plan within minutes and medication I need to take My insurance plan covered all the medication and I picked it up the next day So awesome                 AWESOME

I would love to be able to use this appbut its only 18 Considering most people with acne are teens you would think they would let at least 14 use the app with parental supervision not saying adults cant get acne but you get what Im saying Im really disappointed and would like to see the age lower     Disappointed

I have turned forty and now have acne I found this app and was a little hesitant to use it but decided why not THANK GOD I did so easy friendly quick and hassle free I recommend this for anyone who has busy schedule like me                 Spruce is a god send

I have to say that my experience with Spruce pretty much blew me away enough so that Im actually taking the time to come here to write a review something I never do So the story starts with the visit itself the app is really well done and painless to use They ask you all the same questions a dermatologist would ask and then you take photos of your skin For me I did two separate visits antiaging and male hair loss and my experience was mostly the same so Im just going to review the first visit here At the end of each visit I felt like the doctor had more than enough info about me and the conditions I was there for Next up was my first interaction with my care coordinator Holly It seems like the Spruce care coordinator fills multiple roles that you normally find in the doctors office front desk person medical assistant nurse and probably more Anyway Holly reached out to me immediately to find out what kind of insurance I had so that she could find ways to make any medications my doctor might prescribe me cheaper Then probably within like 2 hours after submitting my case my doctor Dr Fung reviewed my case and send me my treatment plan along with a medication prescription to my pharmacy Coming into this whole thing I was fairly skeptical as to whether the doctor would carefully review my case and come up with a plan that was right for me as opposed to something generic That concern was immediately put to rest as I read the carefully crafted note that Dr Fung send me addressing my concerns individually and explaining how and when to use the medication that he prescribed me All in all I absolutely loved this way of seeing the doctor Especially compared with my experience waiting weeks to see a doctor in person then the experiencing of filling out forms and sitting around in the waiting room Not to mention getting an obscure and expensive bill weeks later muddled with insurance details that I frankly dont need to know about Heres to hoping that they support more than just dermatology in the future Id love to use Spruce for more things like when I have a cough cold etc Anyway cant recommend this enough                 Blew away my expectactions

It worked well the first time I used it Sent a photo of my face and neck MD prescribed meds my skin cleared up They followed up a month after and I responded with photo of cleared skin However when I tried to open it again after it wouldnt open anymore        Great at first but update wouldnt let me open it

Meeting with the dermatologist through Spruce was so easy and effortless and now I feel like my face is super model esque The treatment plan is perfect and the prescriptions were easy to pickup and not pricey at all                 Already Seeing A Difference

For some odd reason every time I attempt to make a dermatologist appointment its a complete nightmare Appointments are scheduled 3 months out and there is no arguing This app allows me to see a doctor within a couple days which is great The support team is amazing and they really take care of you All and all this is a genius idea that really work I love it                 Great great all the day

Ive been to countless of dermatologists before and I never felt like I got an honest opinion on my skin The medications that were prescribed to me in the past either didnt work or felt like they were being forced on me Ive always suspected that the inperson dermatologists Ive seen in the past got perks from drug companies that wooed them to push their product Not at Spruce Not only is this app super convenient but my dermatologist Dr Newman gave me an honest opinion on exactly what my skin needed He really listened to me and Im so pleased with my treatment plan I genuinely felt like he had my best interest in mind What makes Spruce even more amazing is the fact that my care coordinator helped me bring down the cost of my medications Ive saved hundreds of dollars thanks to Holly Spruce goes above and beyond for their patients Amazing work Definitely recommend this app to all my family and friends                 Impressive app

I love this app It is outrageously easy to use and helps me save so much time I filled out a few questions and immediately had my doctor email me with a personalized treatment plan and an Rx that was already called into my pharmacy of choice The care coordinator is FANTASTIC goes above and beyond to help lessen the cost of your Rx Best of all theyre always on call right on your phone I keep telling everyone about this app wish they had a referral system Haha Keep up the amazing work guys                 Possibly the most useful app I have ever used

Nothing beats going to see a doctor in person Except this App Well to an extent I rarely review things but Spruce really deserves recognition Basically I have had a better experience with the care coordinators and physician than Ive had with any doctor Ive seen in person I have been dealing with skin issues for so long and have had plenty experience with doctor visits that were more frustrating than helpful When I saw an add for this I was a little skeptical at first but decided to give it a try The first consultation is free by the way with no requirements to enter any sort of payment information Not sure how long this will go on for so take advantage while you can After answering several questions and sharing photos and my past medical history I was contacted by a care coordinator letting me know what to expect Then I was contacted by a dermatologist within two days I chose Dr Lawrence Cheung who specializes in eczema and psoriasis The thing that I really appreciated was the communication between MD and patient I have a pretty clear treatment plan that felt personalized I was prescribed a medication but was advised to try another medication I had on hand first with a specific treatment plan before I went and spent money on a new prescription so there was no pressure as far a spending money at any time I am really impressed with this service and I will be recommending this app to friends and family Also you can bet that I will be willing to spend the money in the future for this service when I need it                 The future of medicine

I never write reviews but I just had to share my wonderful experience using this app I was a little skeptical at first but I decided to give it a try anyways I submitted the pictures of my skin and my main concerns and within a day I got a response Dr Crosby wrote me a VERY detailed message about the issues with my skin and prescribed me some medications for it Shortly after I got a call from my pharmacy telling me that my prescriptions were ready to pick up I work 50 hour weeks so going to the doctor is almost impossible for me and this app saved me so much time and money I am so glad I found this app and definitely recommend it to anyone                 AMAZING

Everyone says this but Im hopping on the bandwagon to underscore just how impressed I was with my Spruce experience I never write reviews I also rarely go to the dermatologist I heard good things about Spruce from a friend who used it for her acne but didnt download the app right away Several weeks later I developed a weird rash on my hand and was worried about an infection so submitted a visit Within two hours Dr Newman responded with a diagnosis margarita rash a set of medications and a thorough description of why and how to apply them I picked them up the same day and the rash cleared up almost immediately Doctors appointments are usually the type of thing I procrastinate about because theyre invariably inconvenient and only occasionally informative Spruce was the opposite on both fronts I plan to use them again whenever something dermatological comes up                 Truly impressive app

I have struggled with acne my whole teenadult life and for the first time in over 20 years I have clear skin Ive been using the app and following my skin care regimen for about 3 months now and I seriously cannot believe the difference in my skin I used to have a break out every other day and now none It has helped rebuild my confidence and shed the embarrassment of acne The entire process is so easy and user friendly as well Seriously the best app EVER                 Life Changing

I typically dont rate apps but I had to take the time to rate Spruce in hopes that I can influence others to download the app and get the great service that I did At first I was a bit skeptical but being so that my first visit was free I decided to give it a try Once I selected a dermatologist and answered questionssent in pictures of my problem areas it was just a few hours before I got a response I was able to go about my day and the prescriptions she provided me were sent straight to my pharmacy She gave a very detailed description about my problems and gave good tips outside of my prescriptions as well I did notice that one of my co pays for a prescription was relatively high and messaged my care coordinator and she sent me a coupon for my prescription so I paid less than half of my original co pay I have had a great experience with Spruce and have been telling everyone about it I was very skeptical at first but its been a great app and they exceeded my expectations                 AMAZING APP

Was a little skeptical on how the prescriptions would work with insurance but this was super easy I got a response within an hour sent in after 9pm and prescriptions were ready for pick up and reasonable the next morning So much easier than going to an office and waiting for something so simple My doctor gave me a very detailed plan as to why she was prescribing what she was Definitely recommend                 Easy and convenient

This app is so easy to use When I first downloaded this app I had to pay 40 for a consultation but it was so worth it All you do is answer a few questions and take a few photos and the doctor reviews them and sends a prescription to your local pharmacy I have tried everything to get rid of my acne and nothing ever worked The doctor prescribed me a few medicationsantibiotics topical creams and they really helped get rid of everything I am soo glad I came across this app and definitely recommend it to anyone who has acne                 Amazing Bye bye acne

I started using spruce at 7pm one night answered some basic skin care questions that a typical dermatologist would ask sent in pictures of my problem skin face acne filled out some forms about my medical history etc The whole appt took about a half hour Half the time of a regular doctors visit AND no referral needed extra bonus By the next morning I had a response from the doctor a very detailed treatment plan and 2 prescriptions waiting for me along with detailed instructions on how to take them Shortly after that I got a message from my care coordinator making sure my insurance covered everything which it did I will gladly pay 40 and use this again saves time money frustration and the embarrassment of going to a dermatologist face to face                 If only all drs were like this

Its pretty hard for me to schedule a day off from work This saved me the hassle of taking the day off and driving to the doctors The response was quick and helpful The coordinators also phoned in the prescription to a nearby pharmacy and made sure the medication was covered under my insurance My acne has cleared up in a matter of weeks                 Great for busy lifestyle

The app overall is amazing Its inexpensive and super easy Though I have a SERIOUS issue with the fact that you have to be 18 to actually USE the app Im currently 16 years old and have struggled with moderate to severe acne from time to time for 6 years now Going to a dermatologist is incredibly expensive You have to pay just to breathe air in their office and just to know you get a free first appointment from the app is amazing I feel that the age thing is so ridiculous just as long as you have a parent to be able to do the payment I BEG of you to take it into consideration Thank you Estefany        Unfair

I tried this app once first visit free and so far I really like it I uploaded photos of my skin concern and filled out the questionnaire around 9pm The next morning I received a reply from a dermatologist with several prescriptions automatically sent to my pharmacy of choice My additional questions were answered within 24 hrs The layout of the app is also nice though the notifications for when you have a new message seem a bit buggy for me But I will likely use this app again and plan to follow up with the derm after 2 months of this course of treatment                 So far so good

I did an acne visit a few months ago on Spruce and was really impressed by both my doctor Dr Muirhead and my care coordinator Holly I received my treatment plan within like 6 hours after I submitted my visit and Holly even helped me find ways to make the prescriptions affordable After using the medication and following the instructions from Dr Muirhead my skin has cleared up SIGNIFICANTLY Really happy with my experience and would definitely recommend it                 Excellent experience
