SPL Mobile

Just started using this ap nicely supplements my mobile needs                 SoFarSoGood

I love being able to check whether my holds are ready when I am on my way home and renewing materials without logging onto my computer Id give 5 stars if I could switch holds between active and suspended              A real help

I actually know my library ID number but that doesnt even matter because the app never takes me to my account I press that menu option and nothing ever happens it used to take me to the log in but for months now it doesnt I so want to use this app and it is so frustrating not to be able to     Cant access my account

Worked great until I updated my iTouch to IOS5 last night Now it wont work at all I have a 4th gen        Doesnt seem to work with IOS5

Overall I like this app and use it very frequently Two changes would elevate it to a 5 star app for me dont require a password each time I want to access my acct its my phone for goodness sake who would steal my phone just to mess w my library acct or at least let the user choose if a password will be required each time Secondly list on the holds ready for pickup when the hold will expire Other than that good job           Good app could be great

Two months later and I have the same comments as the last reviewer Was once a great app but now I try to place a hold on a book and it gives me an error message Also doesnt store my library card number anymore I have to login anew each time Very frustrating Im giving up     Still broken hello

It was not the best app yet it was functional and worked despite the need to enter the looong library card number However after the last update the library card barcode has disappeared Why Which smart person decided to take it away It was convenient and didnt require to have your card with you There were more functions It looks like the upgrade in fact was a downgrade of the app        Where is the library card barcode

Ive had no problems using this on my old iPhone 4 iOS 6 and first gen iPad Stays logged in and everything              Works great

Unfortunately when you try an place a hold you always get a network timeout error It used to work just fine hopefully someone will report back if this app ever works again     No longer works

Decent app but shows your PIN in plain view on the login screen Yes in plain view        Shows PIN

Ive used this app for awhile and been very happy But this past week I suddenly cant check out any books I think its related to Overdrive changing to Adobe login              Help Cant check out books

After the most recent update I have no problems using this app I probably go to the library twice a week and I find this app very helpful The only thing its missing is passbook integration but you cant have it all I guess              Much improved

Needs an update to handle the longer display I suspect           Barcode broken for the iPhone 5

Exceeded my expectations for a library APP You can reserve items search the catalogue and get updates on your holdsreserve items The best part is that you can text or IM a librarian right from the APP I tried it this morning because I couldnt find an item in the catalogue and through the IM the librarian found what I was looking for and put a hold on the items for me Its a great resource A must have for Seattle Public Library users                 Amazing

There are lots of problems but Ill mention two 1 it will not even remember the bar code number The generous interpretation is that this is due to security concerns But this makes it more secure and inconvenient than my bank Really 2 one cannot renew digital loans     Not at all the quality I expect from such a good library

The My Account functionality doesnt work        My Account

App is REALLY bad at storing CARD And usually forgets pin even if I ask to save creds eBook search is terrible no advanced search and again asks for IDPW Want to GET that eBook enter your IDPW again then open another app where you needs to peter your IDPW again Want to actually READ that eBook that is another IDPW Exasperating     How many times SHOULD I have to enter my IDPW

Whats the point of a mobile app that doesnt remember who you are and requires a separate pc in order to login Essentially useless     Cant even get past the login screen

No 4inch screen support     iPod touch 5

My only problem is that it doesnt save SPL Barcode after it times out Very annoying as this wasnt a problem previously        Please fix

Just like everything public its horrible     As bad as their website

This app would go from bad to good if it simply kept me logged in Im not going to keep typing in my unmemorable 15digit barcode plus PIN     Doesnt stay logged in

I agree with other reviewers about the id and passcode retention issues but I always have my card with me so its more a nuisance than anything It would be nice to have more robust filteringsearching options and for the app to be native to both iPhone and iPad At the very least fix the icon using black frames to make the button appear rounded doesnt work and looks unprofessional              Useful but missing a few details

This app always tells me that an item Im requesting is unavailable until I go back and request it two more times and then it ends up in my wish list needs an update to fix this But Im glad I figured out the tricks           Needs update

The latest update no longer displays your library cards bar code forcing you to enter your bar code number or carry your library card with you This is a huge inconvenience Please bring the bar code display feature back        Want library card bar code feature back

Hello I love the app and use it constantly I store library card in it among other things Whenever you update you erase any stored data like my library card It is a minor annoyance and causes me to have ask the librarian to look mine up for me Please allow us to save our data in Apple Key Chain or other Also can you add Passbook support for when I just want to scan my card at check out at the Library Thank you           Add iCloud backup and PassBood

Seattle has an awesome public library system so why is this app so broken The biggest issue is I cant ever access my account I click the button and it does nothing Please put all the money you make from my overdue fines into fixing this app     Why

The remember password function doesnt work        Who could remember their library card number

I used to use this app all the time I especially loved the card scanner feature in case I forgot my card Now nothing will open when Im in the app Been this way for a while     app was greatnow broken

Why isnt there a proper back button Instead you have to tap the icon on the top right and hit Home Really nonstandard and confusing        Great features awful interface

I dont like that the pin number shows in its raw form It should hide itself once its typed in           The pin number shows itself

This app is useless If Im not at home I cant log in or requests any items It always times out Whats the point of an app if you can use it on the go to check if you have items due or to pick up Sheesh     I would give this app 0 stars if I could

This app is nothing but a waste of time I tried to get it to work from the point of installation but to no avail It definitely needs to be improved     Waste of Time

First a word of thanks to SPL for putting resources toward this app Having access to my library account anywhereat any timeis a fantastic thing The problem is this poor app isnt very clever Its the app of little brain It can never remember my card number so every time i want to use the app i have to find my wallet and get out my library card So much for leaving my card at home It also lacks some key features of the spl web interface The app allows users place holds and view them but not to suspend them I could go on but really its simple The app would get 5 stars from me if it had even half the functionality of the spl website        Its a start

I have used this app for the past year and loved it Very easy to search the catalog reserve books and check account status But starting in mid January 2013 something has happened It really isnt working at all Other than to allow a search Once you try to do anything else an error occurs and you start all over Disappointing     Something is broken

One glaring restriction is the inability to unsuspend a hold This is bizarre           Great app but cant control holds

Needs option to access For Later shelves and what not Not bad just as a searchable database but still lacking in content and usability        EJ

I strongly disliked this app it failed to equate to the spl website as much as it should have and has many glitches Though it asks for youre username in order to access youre account you must use tthe digits on youre library card Holds are not arranged by status or hold number but book name Disappointed in spl and really hate the app Total failure doesnt even deserve one star     Bad

I get network time out messages when I try to use the app on my iPad or iPhone On wifi its easier and fast just to navigate to splorg App is pretty much useless        Easier to just use website

Ive twice reloaded and restarted my phone and logged on and there is no evidence of my digital account holds or any other useful information While this is perhaps some specific issue it seems that this application needs a lot of work to be truly useful and on par with the convenient and fluid technology of the time Needs work     Clunky inelegant and not very useful

This is a great app Handy when I want to remember a book to check out just reserve and Im done              Helpful

While not polished it had functioned just fine until a few months ago Now I get Network Timeout errors which require i kill and restart the app Then sometimes i can perform an action or two before the error is back Needs fixin also the app support button in AppStore takes one to a dead link        Unusable lately

There is no way to sign into my account any logical path ends at an error message So I cant access my holds or view my account Anything else I can do in Safari so what is the point of the app Absolute failure Im begrudgingly giving it one star Undeserved     Utter waste of time
